Spring is Sprung!

Hiro Bakugo. That was the boy's name.
Sophia had originally mistakenly thought the boy was calling himself her 'Hero', given he'd saved her from quite a nasty fall. He'd also saved her potion phials, her textbook and her cauldron.
They'd had quite a bit of fun with their games and conversations the day they'd met - and even more, since then - but she got quite the strange feeling about the boy. There was something off about him, though she couldn't put it to words. It was as if he was wearing a mask when he interacted with her. It reminded her of her chipper show she'd put on for her Grandma when she'd first arrived in Ireland, overcompensating to hide her sadness at her parents' death.
Hence, she'd taken to the boy quite quickly. She wanted to discover more about what made Hiro tick. What made him happy, or sad.
It had been an easy decision to invite the boy to visit her home in Ireland and spend spring break with her, and he was supposed to be meeting her today in Diagon Alley. She didn't have a clue how one got to Diagon Alley from Japan, but she trusted his ability to get here.
There were a few sickles clinging together in her pockets, and she was planning on getting them ice cream to celebrate the Spring Break.
...plus, he could meet her new friend, Amelia.
The adorable little owl flittered around the surrounding rooftops, but never went too far from Sophia. They'd only met a few hours ago, but she loved Amelia with all of her heart.
She'd spent the hours since browsing various shops with her new friend waiting for the meeting time with Hiro. Her grandma had opted to wait in the Leaky Cauldron for them to arrive.
Sophia was a bit worried about her grandma's reaction when she found out her granddaughter's friend that was staying the week was a boy but she knew she could convince the woman that it was okay.
She watched Amelia flutter about as she waited for her new friend to arrive.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | It was finally spring break. Over the short time he'd spent at Hogwarts during the Blossom Ball period, Hiro felt he'd been quite productive. He'd met a lot of people and even made some -dare he consider it?- lasting friends. The most noticeable of these had been Red and a boy called Felix. A girl known as Bailey had also been quite forthcoming towards him. There was also Valentin, a boy who loved quidditch, just like him and was a talented seeker out on the pitch. And last came Not Amused and Alec, two students who would take greater effort to break down their walls and let him come inside. But Hiro was totally up for this challenge. All good things in life did not come easy and this could 100% be one of them. But over the past week Hiro had been feeling rather depressed about life, his own in particular. It might have had something to do with the letter he'd gotten from his father, telling him to not come home during the break. He'd gotten it directly before the ball had taken place, so it had been awhile. But now that students had been heading back home for the break, it was swiftly bringing back the memories to him. That was when he'd been surprised when Red had offered to bring him back to her place during the break. It had come as a surprise, since they were not friends. Well, not close friends. Not close enough to go to eachother's houses over breaks, at least he hadn't thought so? Despite having misgivings, Hiro had accepted her invitation and had gone back to Mahoutokoro with a better feeling. At least someone wanted him around during spring break. Time passed fast and eventually the designated time was upon him. The two had decided to meet up in Diagon Alley at the ice cream parlour. Red had told him that her grandmother would be coming too and he was looking forward to seeing the older woman. Hiro had always wanted to meet a grandma and see if they were really as warm and caring as they were made out to be. Would she? Hiro walked into the parlour and glanced around, only to recognize Red almost instantly and a smile came to his lips. "Red!" He said, raising a hand to wave and stepped forward to meet her. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Spring is Sprung!
Sophia was gazing longingly at the ice cream being handled by the shopkeeper when she hear approaching footsteps. She reluctantly tore her gaze from a particularly beautiful sundae being hauled off by a taller witch with a pointy nose and looked toward the entrance.
Ah! There was Hiro!
She stood from her seat, excitedly waving at the boy.
"Hiro! Look at this place. Isn't it amazing?" she asked, wasting no time in getting her friend's opinion of the parlour.
Sophia was quite surprised at how... 'muggle-like' the ice cream parlour looked. The shopkeepers were all dressed in standard, muggle-like aprons. There was a beautiful glass display with a multitude of flavors. There was even a seemingly normal menu high above the counter.
Hence, the redheaded muggle-born felt quite comfortable in Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour.
Even Amelia seemed interested in the decor and sweet deliciousness scattered about, though Sophia wasn't quite sure what an owl could eat in an ice cream shop. Before she pondered the thought, however, introductions were in order.
"This," she gestured to Amelia, "is my newest friend, Amelia. Isn't she just beautiful? With her perfect little puffy feathers, and her cute little beak and her beautiful eyes?"
She could gush about Amelia for hours, but she fought the urge.
"This," she said to Amelia, gesturing to Hiro, "is Hiro. He's my other friend that I met at school. You're gonna love him."
Then she returned to her excited perusal of the menu.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | Red's reaction was the same as his. She looked happy to see him, which was an unfamiliar feeling to him. Most people tended to want to avoid him. He kind of liked that Red seemed to be different from the others. As the girl gestured at the parlour and asked for his opinion on whether or not it was 'amazing', Hiro glanced around the place. "It looks nice." He agreed, although didn't really have money to spend anywhere. As a result, when he did get money, he saved it all the time. After all, the only thing he really wanted was a Silver Arrow but those were really expensive. Most students got an allowance from their parents, so eventually were able to afford one. But Hiro wasn't like that. Hiro had to do it the hard way. As Red introduced him to Amelia, a smile came to his lips as Hiro admired the pretty owl before him. "She's beautiful. I'm sure you spoil her rotten!" He said with a grin and stretched out a hand towards Amelia to stroke her feathers. Hiro loved animals and would have been ecstatic to have one of his own. But that would never happen when he was living with his parents. One day he'd have his own place and then he could get whatever animal he wanted as a pet. Maybe he'd even get multiple ones. Hiro looked over at Red as she perused the menu before her. "You gonna get something?" He asked, curious. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────
