Schoooools Out For Summer!

Sophia was tired from the long-ish trip to London, but her excitement couldn't be any stronger. Not only was she going to have a Summer adventure-sleepover with Sage, Hiro and Pax, but she could introduce her friends to her grandma, the only living family she knew other than some distant aunts and uncles on her dad's family.
She hoped her friends liked it at her Grandma's house, and she also hoped they didn't mind going to Mass with her on Sunday. She knew Paxie was a bit... well, they were a bit not-Catholic. Hopefully despite that, and Sage being from a wizarding family, and Hiro being from a Japanese wizarding family, they could all feel perfectly comfortable at a muggle Catholic Mass.
Plus, the Priest in charge of teaching the youth - Father Lamb - was super nice, and he was always very friendly. He would welcome them all with open arms, she was sure of it.
For now, though, she jingled a few coins in her pockets as she waited with Sage for Hiro to arrive so that they could get a bit of ice cream to cool off and then go to meet her Grandma in the leaky cauldron.
Sophia had been ever so thankful that Sage had agreed to come. Any time she could squeeze with the girl was simply dandy for her. She knew it wasn't okay to pick favorites when it came to friendships, but Sage was definitely her favorite friend, topping out with a rating of 100/100 on the friendship meter. Kim was probably second, at 99.99/100. All of her friends were above 99/100 in her book, in fact, but Sage would always hold a special place in her heart.
After meeting her grandma in the Leaky Cauldron, they were going to - against Sophia's wishes - catch a flight to Cork, where they would use public transportation to get home.
She was dreading the flight with all of her heart, but she could put on a brave face for her friends.
"He should be here soon," Sophia told Sage with a yawn. She didn't know if Sage knew who Hiro was, so she'd kept it vague, mentioning another friend that was to be meeting them at Diagon Alley for the return trip to Ireland.
She was almost worried about him even showing up, but she knew Hiro would be here. He was good for it.

Schoooools Out For Summer!
The thing about having friends, Sage realised, was that one could be invited to their place and spend the holidays together. She knew this was possible, of course, having Gus for an older brother who, despite his rigidness, ran with a rowdy bunch and was off to Merlin-knows-where during the school breaks.
The week prior had been spent catching up. Being an older sister also meant relaying exciting tales to her younger brother Turner; even if she had to embellish her part a little. She was glad to be home, honestly. She couldn’t stay idle for long, however. It was her turn to leave the nest this time… which prompted dewy-eyed farewells from her mum and dad.
Wheeling her luggage after her, Sage had met Sophia at Florean’s, supposedly to wait for someone else. The redhead made friends by the dozens so Sage wasn’t the least bit surprised their sleepover involved other people. Oh, she wasn’t worried about sharing her friend at all! Ah, well, maybe a little? Honestly, she ought to meet new people - it can’t be healthy to keep to oneself for so long a time.
The sound of jingling coins brought her out of her thoughts.
Sage looked over at Sophia as the girl yawned.
So, they were expecting a boy.
Except for Kim and her brothers, Sage hardly interacted with boys at all. She was mildly perturbed but otherwise neutral on the subject. The taller girl knew Sophia wasn’t a boy-chaser; the redhead’s friendliness just knew no bounds.
“We’re not keeping your grandma waiting, are we?”
The elderly, Sage knew from experience, were a grumpy lot. Patience cannot be a virtue when one's joints ached in the cold.

The note had been simple, it stated they were fine with him going there. They hadn't even bothered to tell him in person. The caretaker had been the one to give him the note. A sigh escaped his lips as Hiro stared down at the note and then carefully folded it and placed it inside his pocket. It was a note from his parents. So, naturally he'd save it and place it inside his treasure box. A little after noon, Hiro emerged into Diagon Alley, having an appointment at Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. But it wasn't until 1:00PM, which was an hour away from the current time. Still, he didn't want to spend more time wallowing in his feelings back at home. Therefore, Hiro had decided to leave a little earlier and spend some time walking around the area. He was a little hungry but hadn't eaten yet and didn't have much money on him. What little money he did have was being saved up to eventually buy a Silver Arrow for himself. So he couldn't afford to spend even the tiniest amount on food. A sigh escaped his lips as his stomach growled at him. Before he'd left he'd grabbed an apple. But that hadn't amounted to much. Time passed by for him. But so slowly. What was it about time that made it go by so slowly when you had nothing to do but so fast otherwise? Eventually, the long awaited time was upon him, and Hiro made his way towards the ice cream parlour. He'd gone there earlier, just in case they had gotten there early, but no one had been there. But now it was time. They should be there now. Hiro opened the door and saw two familiar faces. One was Red. And the other... wait was that Not? So Not was Red's friend? It was a small world! The pink haired boy raised a hand into the air and waved at them. "Hey! Red! Not!" Hiro said with a bright smile and came over to them. He quickly wrapped his arms around Red. Releasing her after a moment, having given her a brief hug, Hiro turned towards Sage. "Good to see you again, Not. I didn't know you and Red were friends!" Hiro said with a smile and glanced over at Sophia. He was looking forward to seeing Red's grandma again. The two of them had really hit it off from the moment they'd met and she was a lovely old woman. He felt at ease with her, a feeling he couldn't really explain to anyone. Hiro idly wondered if Not had met her before too. Or if this girl was just a recent friend of Red's. It was going to be lots of fun! ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────
