Closed Walk of Endearment PV Lamik

It was different as the two of them sat there, the stars twinkling in the dark sky as if trying to send the brunette a message. The implied feelings were all too obvious and Elena had to wonder for a moment if Darren was actually trying to help her. The thought almost made her laugh and disregard it all together, her brother thrived off pranks, jokes and remotely anything amusing at other's people's expense, he didn't have a single helpful bone in his body and if he did, it had probably left him a long time ago. The quiet expanse of the grand dining hall settling over them as the butlers quietly moved in clearing away the plates making sure not to make an inch of sound or intrude on the duo's converstation as she nodded in agreement with Lamik. The stars all intertwined with each other performing their roles almost in unison.

Together. With each other.

Now that was a nice thought.

Her chest gave a nervous leap almost at his words, Elena couldn't help but smile as she looked at him, a feeling of something rising up inside her. It was urging her on, telling her to just open up right then and there as the Gryffindor opened her mouth to say something but it was what not what she held bottled up inside her. "I couldn't think of anyone better to spend the summer with." She offered twirling a lock of her brown hair around her finger wondering to perhaps delay, perhaps wait but what if it was too late by then? Elena had to tell him, before he left at least, that was the goal and whether she managed to do it was an different story altogether maybe a bit fearful of how he would react.

What if he didn't reciprocate her thoughts or feelings? That would just leave Elena feeling pretty awkard about the entire situation but at the same time, she couldn't stand not knowing as one of the butlers carefully crept forward picking up their empty dishes from them and disappearing, Elena waiting until he was out of earshot before shifting in her chair to face the boy making sure she had his attention before speaking. "Lamik? I have a question." A question that held a million different meanings and with an answer that the brunette wasn't sure if she even wanted to know the answer to given how close she had grown to the boy from the time she had first met him. "The Blossom Ball, we went together and then the Valentine thing, we got paired together, it just keeps happening over and over." A pause before Elena finally decided to surge forth.

Truthfully speaking, the Valentine's thing had been sheer concidence but Elena liked to think it was something more than that. "It almost feels like something's trying to tell us something, do you feel that too or am I just crazy?" She chose her words carefully as if walking on glass fearful yet hopeful for what his reply might be as her eyes refused to leave his as if held hostage by his gaze hoping, searching, needing to know what defined them.

As blissful the moment was, the boy had a point. She only had him for a day or two then it was back to normal but that didn't mean she was going to let the chance slide just like that. Elena had made a silent promise to herself, a mental oath that she had to offload it onto Lamik but fear overtook her as well. What if he didn't reflect back what she was feeling as they sat there glancing up taking in everything from the wide dining hall to the stars that twinkled in from the arced windows of the walls taking in everything including him. "Well, I'm a Gryffindor, I think that automatically qualifes all of us for crazy." The brunette replied smirking though she didn't think anything of this was crazy. She thought it was just perfect actually, the both of them without a soul around to disturb them and it was the perfect setting really to confess the uncertainty, the blushing and everything else she had been hiding deep within her for what to be a good year now.

"Lamik, I.." Elena never made it past the second word as Lamik rode over her, his bluntness and confidence seemingly coming from somewhere she didn't know. It took a moment for the words to process, the silence lingering in the air as the girl stared at him wondering if he had really said that. Her inside voice was roaring at her, her mental gears were working in overdrive to process the words as everything fell away replaced by his face, so calm, so natural and the way he had just causally thrown it out here. She couldn't help it, he was so relaxed, so friendly and maybe it was this personality that attracted Elena to him as she felt the heat rising in her cheeks. "Yeah?" She asked tripping over her own words, her heart racing a hundred miles an hour. It was like if it was ready to leap out of her chest straight at Lamik as Elena forced herself to remain calm. Sometimes, being so direct tended to be a double-edged sword but with Elena, it seemed to have found it's mark true and accurate as her eyes shifted to meet his in a unwavering gaze.

One of her hands rose steadily watching him to settle on top of his as she tried to formulate words for the situation.The next things she said, Elena didn't know where they'd came from, it was mostly her heart doing the thinking now. The chance was there and literally every bone in her body was prodding at her to not be stupid about this almost mentally pushing her forward. "What are you waiting for then?" The phrases slipped from her mouth before she could even think about it and before long, the Gryffindor found herself leaning in to him shuffling closer and closer until there was barely a inch of space between them. She paused there for a second to look at him, to silently ask if this was okay as she softly whispered the next words reserved just for the two of them. "You have no idea how long I've kept this bottled up inside me."

With that, the brunette would tilt her head forward and if Lamik would allow it, she would press her lips to his in a kiss that seemed to linger for seconds, minutes or however long they thought as it felt like she was in heaven at that moment, eternal bliss.

Elena couldn't think of anything better to be than here at this moment. The truth was, she'd been wondering how to break it to him and she had debated a variety of ways but maybe this was better. After all, that old saying rang true in this instance, actions spoke louder than words. A sort of relief filled her when he didn't pull away, stutter or try to fend her off, he shared in the intimate moment responding with his own and each second they shared close with each other, it was like a burden being lifted off her shoulder, that burden of uncertainty, nervousness and all those instances of nervousness, stuttering and subtle embarassment, they'd finally figured out how to put this equation to rest in light of this new route the both of them were now exploring allowing her gaze to wander into his eyes to be lost there before finally pulling apart gently.

His words were not lost on her as she laughed both at his reaction and perhaps as a ways to trying to process what had just happened. "Well, don't reckon this'll be the only time so I think you'll have plenty of more chances." Elena was really blushing furiously by now, it was almost impossible to put a handle on it. All the thing she had kept locked up in her heart, within herself came crashing through to the surface in the form of the honest truth. The Gryffindor hadn't know what it was, maybe one of those 'love at first sight' sort of situations but something about him kept calling her to him and she found that she responded to it quite well and perhaps the most important thing about all of this was that the feeling was mutual, she'd found a thing she hadn't known she needed and the brunette reckoned it was a pretty nice thing to have.

Darren had been right after all, the girl realized in hindsight. Sometimes, it was better to be upfront than beating around the bush and you could strike gold, that had certainly happened in this case. "I've wanted to tell you so bad about..this." Elena said with her hand gesturing to both of them, the implication clear as she felt she could be a little more open now after all they had shared so far. "I just didn't know how to go about it but I reckon this way works too." She'd taken the initiative and he had responded perfectly leaving a swirl of emotions bubbling up inside her in a mixture of happiness, relief, love and whatever else crossed her mind at that moment.

"You're everything for me, Lamik. That's all I wanted to say everytime I saw you."

Even in the climax of the moment, Lamik found chances to poke fun and that was made him so perfect. He was just an happy-go-lucky person all around with a personality that was hard to ignore and she couldn't help the chuckle that slipped from her lips. It was all smiles around him, all happiness and laughter because it was literally impossible to be anything else. They had met first in that classroom and the brunette had thought they would be off to a bad foot with him smoking her out of that room but here they were sharing a rather intimate moment, one that he had apparently wanted to start off which was hilarious in it's own self but at least she could take comfort in the fact that he was feeling the same thing she was and that was good enough for her.

"But you are." Elena pointed out grinning somewhat from genuine happiness glad that she had established where they were at and keen on celebrating this newfound thing they had going. "I am melting on the inside, you just can't see it." Well, perhaps he could with all the blushing she was doing but it was true. The girl didn't think she had felt as much of a connection to anyone else as she did with this boy, he made her feel complete, made her feel whole and that was all Elena needed in life. The fire had already been kindled when they had attended that ball together and from there on, she had the question on her mind until finally today, every stone had been unturned and the Gryffindor could take comfort in the fact that there would be no feeling of uncertainty anymore, no more what-ifs knowing he had potentially been feeling the same way before as well.

Her foot leaned forward to nudge his. "Sorry, but I hear Gryffindors have a notorious reputation for not listening , don't know what stop means." Elena jested mostly as he looked at her. It wasn't a look of curiosity or wonder, it was an expression of genuine love and care and she knew it well. The girl was just glad Darren hadn't stuck around for this or she probably wouldn't have been bold enough to do what she did glancing down realizing their fingers were still interlaced probably without them realizing, it brought a smile to her face nodidng again to the stars outside the window which seemed to twinkler their approval in response to what had just happened. "I guess we're stuck with each other now." Not that she was complaining, it was a combination she had been dreaming of up until this day when it had come into reality and she had happily embraced it with open arms.

If you had asked her some time ago, Elena Jangleton would never even have considered the prospect of dating the one person who had in a most unceremoniously ruined the artwork she had toiled over when Lamik Fillestar had made his first introduction among a plume of smoke. Now that the Gryffindor thought back on it, it made her smile as they sat here sharing a moment. If anything, it went to show that people could really cross paths in a multidude of ways and this connection they had just started, this bond or this unspoken thing that chained them together was the start of something new, something nice that the girl hoped would be her one pillar of support in a school where everything rested on a scale that swung either one way or the other.

She made a face as he brought up Darren again. "He would probably walk in and just brag about how he was right." She said admitting though in a sense, he was. It had been the air well before this encounter and in a sense, her brother had only been indirectly helping her encouraging her to voice her thoughts though the manner in which he did wasn't exactly what you'd call a great example. Lamik's suggestion to make themselves sparse before the elder Jangleton returned and drew the dots about what had happened in the past couple of minutes was a genius one as she nodded her agreement. "You don't have to tell me twice, I know just the place, c'mon." She said grinning getting to her feet bubbling with a sort of new excitement and energy as she led the way out of the vast dining hall.

Elena's place in question was the exterior garden and vineyard attached to the rear of the residence tended to by hired hands although with the moonlit night shining over them, there was hardly anyone present as the girl led him through the man-made walkways curving this way and that. "I used to come here a lot when I was a kid, it would be like my personal corner." A safe space of sorts that she could be tucked away in as the visage of the estate got dimmer and dimmer as they wandered deeper into the depths of the garden, the rows of plants bristling as the fresh air rippled across the land providing a sort of comforting aura. "You can even brush up on your Astronomy if you're lacking." She said with a half-smirk pointing up at the sky where several, twinkling lights shined back at them in greeting, a constellation of sorts but as to what it is, the girl couldn't say.
