Closed A Fateful Night of a Gathering No One Wanted PV Chiara d'Angelo

─────It was just after the days of Guinevere's first year at Hogwarts had passed, and her parents had dragged her to a gathering of wizards in Scotland. It'll be fun, they said. Maybe you'll meet some people from Hogwarts!, they said. Hah, jokes on them, Guinevere knew nobody from Hogwarts who also lived in Scotland!
She moped around for a bit, dragging her feet around in shoes that had probably cost more than they should have, and tugged on the sleeves of her blazer. Parties were indeed boring if you knew no one; all one could do was drink and eat and pretend they had a date to talk to. And that was what she did, until she spotted a similarly-aged girl standing awkwardly by the stations of food. Being the nice Slytherin that she was, she decided to go ahead and make their awkwardness less awkward (or more awkward, if it didn't work out). Drink in hand, she made her way through talking people towards the girl.
"Hello," she said, trying not to be awkward. "Do you go to Hogwarts? I'm Guinevere, incoming second year Slytherin. And you?"
She thought about the girl's face as she spoke; there wasn't much familiarity in it, but she would remember soon, for the name Chiara did match up with her features a lot.
"Would you like to chat a bit? This party is getting a bit boring, don't you think?"
