Tent Description:
The chaos theme was a popular one this summer, but rather fitting considering the usual antics of the Hogwarts student body. However this one in particular was easy to spot as a large wooden sign was staked outside its entrance. The large post and sign appeared to be made up of old drift wood as it was cracked in places and bleached by the sun. Like a graffiti tag the tile "The Mutineers" was applied with red spray paint, some of the letter dripping with crimson as the coloring ran. The tent itself was dyed the colors of the ocean deep. They twirled and swirled around each other as if to mimic the currents of the sea. From time to time a lighter splash of color would find its way into the dance like a ray of sun pricing through the blues of the water. It was a chaotic array of colors, yet there was still an almost natural flow to them.
The interior of the tent would look like the ships of old. Large wooden planks made up the flooring and walls. Immediately drawing the eye was a large painting in the back and center of the tent that depicted an old naval battle. It was enchanted to move as the two ships circled each other in an epic fight. Along the sides of the tent were rows of beds, above each one a porthole to allow light to flow in. At the foot of each one stood a treasure chest for the inhabitants belongings and each had a privacy curtain that could be pulled around it. At the center of tent sat a wooden round table for communal eating or group activities. This being the tent of the Hogwarts' Hexwizard champion there was also a designated space for practice. Whether they decided to summon old straw dummies or square off against each other in practice duels, the tent left ample space for either occasion.
With a sampling of students from each house of Hogwarts this summer could prove fruitful or disastrous. Would they band together like their school crest and develop the bonds necessary to achieve victory? Or would personal differences and dramas have them walking the plank? A lot can happen over the course of a summer...

Aside from Hogwarts' camp being off grounds in London, there seemed to be quite the theme happening that related to pirates and the like. Bloom was not particularly interested in pirates, but she thought it fun to have activities that were based around the theme.
For Bloom, time had flown by quickly. For it to be already the summer meant that she had finished another year at Hogwarts-- her fifth year to be exact. She was now an incoming sixth year, which meant that she had more responsibilities in store, ahead of her. But unlike the years past, she felt that she wouldn't be alone and would have support by her side.
Rolling a medium-sized suit case, Bloom made her way towards the tent that was given to her. The tent's name was called the "Mutineers" which was a rebellious soldier or officer of the sea. Seeing how it was graffitied on with red paint gave Bloom the chills. Why it couldn't be something cute like the "Seahorse Dancers" was beyond her. Something like that would never fly with the Hogwarts community. Everything was about slugs, fire or hags.
Bloom walked into the tent to see that it was much larger than what it looked like on the outside. The beauty of magic. If anything, it was extremely spacious. However, one could say that inside the tent looked a bit chaotic with the ship wreck pictures that filled the wooden walls. Bloom slowly walked in and looked around. There seemed to be no one inside yet. Bloom was both excited and nervous about who she was rooming with in the tent. She had a feeling that it was going to be a little awkward to have the two people she felt the most insecure about herself with: Serena Towers and Falentra Black. There were a few other people that she got along with, but she wondered how those two would take it that Bloom was now officially with Howard.
Leaving her baggage by the door of the tent, Bloom headed over to the communal area and sat on the couch. For this moment, the silence was golden. She knew that drama was going to unfold sooner or later, and taking in the silence was blissful.

Interacting with her rat
Summer camp... it was finally here. Serena had spent the last month worrying about how this would pan out, nervous and anxious about the whole thing for a number of reasons. She was no stranger to joining a team or working together with people. In fact, it was very much the reason she was alive, really. It was also the reason she was here. Serena had no intention of joining summer camp this year, preferring to stay at home and away from last year's drama. However, she had to be there to partake in the broom race.
It was probably a good opportunity to meet the rest of the hex team properly and get to know them. That was to say, the part of the team that she did not know well. The names she knew best were names that she was least comfortable with, at the present time. A part of her hated that but at the same time, she also did not really want to talk about it or deal with it. In her own foolishness, she likely had isolated herself by pushing away those closest to her.
The month of July had done her well in getting over a lot of those negative feelings but a month was not enough to fully get over everything. Just seeing the names on the sign-up sheet made her feel nervous about how this would turn out. Perhaps... saying 'yes' to joining this team was not a good idea. But she did not join because she thought Howard was cute and his relationship status had absolutely nothing to do with her reasons for stepping up. In fact, they were part of the reason she had avoided joining the team for over a month.
What inspired her to join the team was bigger than the individuals that made it up. It stood for more than her issues with Bloom or Falentra or anyone else. Perhaps, in time, she would come to regret the decision but for now, she closed her eyes and exhaled softly as she thought of why. This was important. This was, likely, one of the most important things she could be doing with her time.
The upcoming tournament would likely be a challenging one. More than that trials, it was the other teams that she was concerned about. The Durmstrang champion, for instance, was a face or name that could easily piss her off and incite a rage that she did not know existed within her until she came across him. She did not trust him as far as she could throw him. And judging by her noodle arms, it was not far at all.
"You'll save me, right?" She joked softly to the small rat that had curled up on her shoulder. Adjusting the strap of her backpack carefully to avoid letting him fall off, she checked her hair. She opted to wear a bandana headband that covered her ears but kept the hair out of her way. It was also better for the warm weather than a woolly hat was!
Serena was travelling light - mostly because she did not have much stuff. She had an enchanted backpack on her back that carried most of her things. Mostly, some clothing, her broom racing gear and a variety of headbands. It also had a notebook, writing materials, and food for pizza but that was sort of it, for the most part. In her other hand, she held a pine tree. Yes, quite literally, a pine tree. It was slender and had a metal seat that made it obvious that it was a broom, rather than a tree. Within the tree was also another broom, neatly tucked in and tied together for transport. The second was trimmer and neater, looking more like a broom. They were both also new for the summer and she was super excited to show them off to her fellow broom-obsessed friends.
With a final check, she made her way over to the tents. Strolling past several others until she eventually came across it. The Mutineers. That was it. It was too late to run away and flee. But perhaps just dealing with it head-on was the best way to deal with all of the awkwardness. After all, she was going to have to spend the entire year with these people...
Tilting her head at the decor, she observed it for a moment. The camp seemed to have a pirate theme going on... and it was kind of inspiring her.
Entering the tent, she spotted someone's baggage right by the door... Looking up, she spotted a familiar face just chilling on the couch. It looked relatively empty, otherwise. Rolling her eyes to herself, already irritated by the company, she hurled her things into the tent. She normally let people pick their own beds first and then took the remaining, not really caring where she stayed. Today was different. She intentionally went to the bed furthest away from Bloom, in the corner, so she could just stay there and not have to deal with the Ravenclaw. Placing Pizza Rat on her pillow, she dropped the backpack on top of the treasure chest that was there and propped up her broomsticks to the side of the tent for now. She would put them away later but trying to find a place for a literal tree was a little more difficult. It looked like there was a Christmas tree in the corner in August!
She had no intention of speaking to Bloom, mostly because she had absolutely nothing to say. What was she supposed to say to her? There was not really anything for Serena to say to her, other than 'get out of my face', which seemed awfully rude. If she had nothing nice to say, she figured it would be better to say nothing at all.
Maintaining the silence, she dropped onto the bed - the curtain was still tied back so she could be seen - and leaned against the headrest, moving Pizza to the side. Taking out her sketchbook, she instantly started to scribble. The pirate theme had given her an idea.

She didn’t know how she felt about this. Rumors had been going around about who Howard had asked to be on his team, and of course, she knew the moment Percival was acquired, but Santario wasn’t on his team. Maybe he wanted her knowledge of strategy or to help the others practice as a duellist. She would not have seen him since their brief interaction at the ball, and before that, well… Before that was the slug showdown. While the events were hazy, she remembered more than she let on. Despite their limited interaction, she liked to consider him a friend, and she respected him immensely. Things will not be awkward unless you make it so. She sighed, reminding herself that she needed to lighten up a little.Open to Interactions
Tiny little scratches on her next pulled San out of her head as her hand reached up to gently pet Kahlan. “I am making you nervous; I am sorry. Things will be fine, and I’ve been assured your terrarium has already been delivered and waiting.” She murmured to the lizard on her shoulder. San adjusted the strap of her bag as she walked, allowing it to sit more comfortably. For the moment, she only had her camera bag resting against the small of her back and a sizeable enchanted satchel on her side carrying everything she would need.
Finally, a tent came into sight that reminded her of the ocean’s currents with a red tagged sign reading “The Mutineers”. She paused for a moment outside of the tent and took a deep breath. This is stupid. I shouldn’t feel like a new kid on their first day. San let her breathe out in a huff before stepping forward and entering. She was immediately drawn to the painting in the back, enchanted. She had a feeling on her sleepless nights, she would spend them watching that painting.
Next, she found the luggage someone had just set by the door; a bit hazardous, she thought, but she didn’t trip over them, so it didn’t much bother her. The next thing she saw was two older girls, both of whom she somewhat knew. She had met Bloom literally once, and nothing much came of it, but Serena she knew a bit better. Not friendship better, but they were better acquainted. As she started walking, she noticed her Lizards Terrarium set off to the side and out of the way, but she would have to come back for that.
“Hello.” She said to neither of the women in particular, but she was walking towards Serena. She stopped short of the older Hufflepuff and motioned to the bed next to hers. “May I?” Tension already seemed to be in the air bringing her to the realization that this probably wasn’t going to be the most peaceful living arrangement for the month. At least Percival would be there.

Falentra had decided to start off a new start to the year with a twist. Whilst most would prefer to clear the air, make amends and try to start off with at least a bit of positivity, Falentra did not. The Slytherin had come to terms, as well as drilling into her own head that she needed nobody other than herself. Then that way, nobody could hurt her. Nobody could let her down and she didn’t have to feel the slightest bit of guilt. Now, that was an extreme way to start the year off, but the girl was stubborn and had issues. She may not have truly meant all of it. She did care of a few people deep down and would always have their backs, but even then, she was going to distance herself from them too for both their sakes. She had to.
Summer had come around yet again and the instant thought of what had happened last year made her shiver with embarrassment. She hoped for the life of her that this year was going to better, even in the slightest bit. She hadn’t signed up for any truth or dare, she most defiantly hadn’t signed up for no spin the bottle, so there had to have been very little that could go wrong, at least at the very start of it all, right?
Falentra took a step into the tent she was staying at for the next month and her heart could have dropped if she had one. No f*cking way.. She thought to herself. First, her eyes landed on Bloom and then on Serena. The Hufflepuff, she could manage but Bloom. Bloom?! No way. This had to be a joke. Her jaw clenched and her eyes held a death glare down at the Ravenclaw for quite a while.
After a moment or so later, she swung and tossed her bag over and onto an empty bed then headed over to the free couch opposite to where Bloom was sat. She let out a small sigh as she dropped to the seat and crossed her leg over the other. Her eyes would set on Bloom once more and a devious smile would appear on her face. “Bloom. How lovely to see you. I imagine we will have.. lots of fun together this summer, don’t you think?” Of course, this was sarcasm at its finest though she she was playing it cool despite her expressions probably not saying the same. Her stare would hold on the other for a moment longer before she glanced around the room. She would nod towards Santario; the only one she ‘formally’ greeted in the tent. Even though she was no part of the duelling team, yet, she still respected her fellow housemate more than the others.

Perhaps Howard was just naive when he signed up the entire Hexwizard team to share a tent for summer camp. Perhaps he was just stupid, but their was a hopeful part of his mind that thought they could all just move past the awkward histories and current dramas they shared. Well, most of he team should have been fine really, yet there were three ladies that he was a bit more than worried about. This may be the stupid part. Howard held a special place in his heart for them all. He was head over heels for Bloom. Serena was one of his dearest friends and he cherished her like a sibling. Then there was Fal. For him the love may be gone, but he still hoped a friendship could prevail. Perhaps he was just being selfish to wish that they could all coexist and maybe even bond. However, that was the thought that propelled him to do such a silly thing when he signed them up. They would push through the awkwardness, bond as a team, all become friends and then kick some serious ass next year. Silly Howard.
The Dhampir would enter the tent with a backpack slung over one shoulder and his Silver Arrow over the other. Who knew if he'd get a chance to fly, but he wasn't to show up to a Quidditch and Broom racing event without it. That thought slipped right out of his mind as his eyes darted between Bloom and Falentra, both of which sat opposite from each other on the couches provided. There was no blood drawn yet, so that was a plus. As fretful as that situation may be, Howard held onto that confidence and tried to keep it cool. Hey, Bloom." He greeted her first as he walked past. A gentle nudge from his index finger against her cheek added some intimacy to the hello. "Fal." Howard offered a courteous nod in her direction. "Been alright?"
He would await an answer as he made his way further into the tent. The round table in the middle would suffice as a place for his belongings for now. Then he spied two more occupants near the back of the tent. "Serena, San! Hey!" Howard tried to keep a note of positivity to his tone. Perhaps it sounded a little fake, but he was willing to go there to keep the mood light. It did genuinely warm his heart to see Santario again. A reminder of how easily it could have gone the other way. It was great to see Serena too. Things had been pretty awkward between them, but he hoped the month apart would cool that down. Surely the joy of being reunited could trump any negative feelings? Fingers crossed.
Howard kept himself in motion. As if stopping for a moment would allow the train to derail. His long arm would disappear into his enchanted backpack soon to return with a large bag of goodies to empty out on the table. "Anyone hungry?" Food always helped, right? Can't scream at each other with full mouths! Or perhaps the communal act of eating together might help move this all in a positive direction. Out of the bag came a great assortment of treats. There were all kinds of snacks, sweets and pastries. All the junk food a teenager could want. For him, he unwrapped a blood pop and stuck it in his cheek as he ambled around exploring the tent.

Bloom wasn't sure if she dreaded this moment or was excited for it. Whenever she saw Serena, she was always so happy to see her. This time around, however, Bloom felt uncomfortable around her and it seemed that it was mutual. Bloom watched Serena walk into the tent and instead of saying anything to Bloom, she went straight to choosing her bed. What should Bloom do at this point? She never had an experience such as this to learn from. Should she go to her or stay on the couch? Maybe she wanted space. Bloom considered the latter and gave her space. They were definitely going to have more time conversing with each other in the near future.
Her eyes tore away from Serena and to Santario. Bloom remembered meeting her once sometime in the year. She was extremely nice. Bloom forgot what they did to make them click for a second. Was it studies related? Did they play a game? She just knew that she was a friendly face, and another person on the Hexiwizard Tournament team. Bloom thought, hands down, that she was extremely pretty. "Hey," she replied back to Santario who seemed to focus her attention on Serena and bunk near her. As much as she wanted to connect with Santario, she did not choose to not because of their new friendship, but because she was now with Serena, she needed to give Serena space, and therefore couldn't connect with Santario right away.
Bloom silently sighed to herself on the couch and looked up at the ceiling of the tent. She closed her eyes and hoped for Howard to come. She needed someone to talk to; someone who made her feel comfortable and special. It wasn't until she heard her name that she opened her eyes. She did not hear anyone come in, and here, in front of her, was Falentra Black. Great...
Bloom took a deep breath through her nose and smiled at the Slytherin. If they were going to spend a whole month together in this tent, she needed to be cordial. If anything, Bloom knew nothing about Falentra other than what Howard told her about a dark side and bringing out his dark side. In addition, she dated Howard for awhile. Bloom should not judge her not knowing who she really was. Perhaps she was a good person. "I think we will! Did you sign up for anything fun this summer?" she asked, referring to the different various activities the camp had to offer for students.
Her heart skipped a beat when she heard the familiar voice say her name. Howard had finally come. Bloom looked over at him with a smile and her cheek felt warm from his quick touch. He seemed to be making his rounds, knowing everyone here. It was, after all, his team that he brought together for the month. Who knows what kind of month it will be... either a harmonious one or a shit show.
"Do you have rice crispy treats?" she asked, getting up to look at his stash of junk food. Something sweet sounded good right now. Perhaps it was just her wanting to eat her nerves away. There were a lot of wizarding treats in his bag. Made sense as he could not spend a lot of time among muggles knowing that he looked different than them with his race. "What do those blood pops taste like to you?" she asked, wondering if it was the usual 'tastes like chicken' taste or something else.
Bloom looked over at Falentra and waved her over to join her in searching for the haul. "Are you a sweet or sour person?" she asked, trying to get to know her. She wanted to ask if she wanted to bunk together, but she felt that was a little too forward for meeting her and having a common history.

Upon hearing the news of a tent just for the Hogwarts hex wizard team, he couldn't help but feel unsure of the whole idea. All of the team somewhat had a problem with at least one person, Gray's being Serena for being an annoyance more than anything. In turn, he decided to ask San to the tent so they could be together more. Lately, all they had been doing was sending owls, so it was going to be a treat when they finally hung out with each other in the flesh.
Holding the lazy fluffball known as Cormac in his arms, he walked down towards the tent and finally made his appearance. With a nonchalant meow, Cormac looked up to him before jumping away from his arms to explore his new surroundings. He dusted his hands off and looked at the students who had already arrived, the first being a face he hasn't seen before. Bloom Silvertoon. She was a Ravenclaw who he hadn't really talked to before, but all he knew was she was quite older than them in most regard. Either way, he was going to be sure to introduce himself soon.
Next was the dastardly Hufflepuff Serena Towers, along with her weirdly named Pizza rat. Ever since asking about her boyfriend, she seemed to be very hostile when he was close to her. Did she really put poor Galton in such low regard? but thankfully a more than fantastic individual was next. San, who was talking to the mean girl had already arrived. The sight of the girl seemingly made him stand up a bit more straight and check over his clothes. He didn't have a bad thing to say about her, if that didn't speak volumes then what did.
The last two were Falentra Black and Howard White. Black was another person he hadn't talked to much, but Howard on the other hand was a person he respected greatly. If it wasn't for him and others, he wouldn't have been able to save San. One of the few reasons why he chose to join the team was to repay Howard for what he did for him.
Sighing, he finally walked over to San and Serena "Afternoon San, I'm happy you made it" Gray said with a warm smile as he gently leaned down to give San a peck on her cheek. Leaning back up, he gave Serena an expressionless look and lightly nodded "Towers..." he said in almost a grumble. The temptation to ask about Galton was great, but the urge for teasing while San was there seemed to ward that away.
"I presume you two have met before?"
At the same time, Cormac has spotted a particluar rat on Serena's bed. Sniffing with intrigue he lowered his body down and got closer and closer to the bed, his nose getting closer to Pizza who probably didn't see the curious cat coming from below. Although, from the lick of his lips he seemed to have something already in mind.
“This is only a foretaste of what is to come, and only the shadow of what is going to be.”

So many people to tag wow
Dee strolled through camp on that first morning with an almost childish bounce in her step that even after three years of Hogwarts, the physical and (debatably) mental maturing she had done, refused to disappear. She'd been looking forward to camp ever since Howard had asked her to be on his team for the Hexwizard tournament, and had accepted the invitation - both for the team and the summer camp tent - without any hesitation. Obviously she'd be a great addition to both. Duh.
Her new teammates she knew less about, apart from her friend and co-captain Pericles, but that was about to change.
Her parents had dropped her off at the gates after the obligatory shopping trip in Diagon Alley. She'd spent the past month in Whitehaven, brewing potions and swimming in the sea, biking around her hometown to all the best spots. It'd been good for her, she'd acquired as much of a tan as she ever managed to, and the sprinkle of freckles that was invisible in winter had appeared on her nose and cheeks. Dealla hadn't visited her grandparents this summer.
Dragging her trunk in between rows of tents, Dee decided that the camp theme this year seemed super cool. After growing up by the sea, the scent of salt in the air, the sound of crashing waves, would always be a part of home for her, and although the camp couldn't replicate those invisible aspects, at least it was pretty. Also, pirates. Pirates were cool.
The tent she would live in for the next month was easy to spot, covered in the swirls of a turbulent sea, and Dee stopped to admire it for a moment, then hopped closer to the sign. The Mutineers, red paint on sun-bleached wood. She made an appreciative noise, reaching out to touch the wood, then leaned forward to smell it. Nope, still no sea scent, it was fake. Still though. Pretty cool.
Flinging open the tent flaps, Dee marched inside with no hesitation, her mouth already open for a greeting. "Hellooo, excited to be on the best Hexwizard team," she announced herself, her eyes scanning the group of people that had already gathered.
Howard was there, of course, next to Bloom, an older Ravenclaw student who had not made the best impression on Dee during their last interaction. Surprising that Howard was friends with someone so close-minded, but she respected his opinion enough to give her the benefit of the doubt. Across from the couch Bloom was sitting on was another older student, one Dee didn't think she'd ever talked to, although she seemed familiar, and the Ravenclaw prefect squinted at her for a moment, trying to place the face. Was that... oooooh, right, the girl who had helped Howard trash the Headliner office some time ago. How interesting. So much... personality.
Santario was standing with Percival Grey beside her, both of them Slytherins in Dee's both year. Santario she respected, although she knew neither of them well. She hadn't known her fellow duelling captain was on the team as well? Probably not a bad choice, though.
The last person in the room sat on a bed next to the pair, another somewhat familiar face. Serena was on the Headliner, and she seemed nice enough from what Dee had seen. At the very least, she had a pet rat, which were automatic points in her favour. Dee's own rat, Ninkilim, was currently sleeping in a pocket of her satchel. Hopefully there wouldn't be any cats around in this tent... Nope, never mind, that hope was already dashed. Time to warn a fellow rat owner. "Cat incoming!" she called over to Serena. "Not mine, I don't know who the grey ball of fur over there belongs to."
She dragged her trunk over to an empty bed, then let herself flop down on it without any attempt at grace. Her gaze flickered over all present people again, counting. Six, seven including herself. Adding Pericles made eight. Was this already the entire team, then?
Ignoring, or possibly oblivious of, the tense atmosphere in the tent, Dee gave them all a cheerful smile. "Well, this should be fun."
"One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar."

The Ravenclaw seemed happy.. bubbly even when she replied. Ugh.. She was so fake. Falentra hated it. She hated her. Well, maybe not hate.. but she very much disliked her and it killed her to have to be civil with the girl, for Howard's sake mainly. ''No. After last year, I decided its best for me to stay clear.'' She replied back, her tone slightly bored. She didn't ask in her return as to whether or not she was joining any. She didn't care and at least wanted to make that known... as if her tone wasn't enough for Bloom to pick up on.
Falentra was about to stand from the couch and head over to her bed to be alone but her eyes would set on Howard as he walked into the tent. She wasn't sure if her heart ached or fluttered for a split second. Only when he approached the two would it set more on the aching part. The jealous side wanted to scream out but she held back for her own embarrassment. He poked playfully against Blooms cheek before acknowledging her. ''Fine.'' She replied back. ''Me and Bloom was just getting to known one another. She's so sweet.'' She added before forcing a smile. One only Howard could probably see through.
The Slytherins gaze then quickly flickered over to another two students that entered the tent. Her smile soon faded. She didn't known either of them, but recognized the boy at least; she had seen him around the common room a few times.
Again, her gaze shifted back to Howard. He was trying to lighten the tense atmosphere by bringing food to the table. It was always a good way to make everyone happy. Falentra was stubborn however and wasn't going to just jump to her feet and get excited over it. She saw Bloom do just that and as a result she gave a small tut and a eye-roll. Maybe she disliked her so much because she was pure and good. She was pretty and chirpy. Something she could never do so naturally. She remained seated and listened to the group. Bloom was innocently asking about the blood pops and Falentra couldn't help but smirk.
Not long after would Bloom call her over. Of course she didn't want to, but a month of sulking and keeping to herself in a tent like this just wasn't going to work. ''Sweet.'' She replied once standing and heading over to Blooms side. Her eyes set down on the girl, staring at her for a moment before smiling. ''...And you?'' She asked, trying to join in and play along. ''Any dark chocolate in their, Sparkles?'' She was referring to Howard, a nickanme she gave him when they were together. It was harmless, but she knew exactly what she was doing by saying it. ''Oh. How about some cupcakes Howard? You got any special ones? Bloom make you any?'' Again, she was playing and teasing with him. Her hand then rested over Blooms shoulder and she would laugh. A strange and rare expression to come from Falentra. ''Seriously though Bloom, you need to make him so personalized cupcakes. Chocolate is his jam.'' An innocent soul such as her probably had no idea what Falentra was getting at. Maybe she would play with her a little before spelling it out for her.
