You'd need to owl the tent members of the group you want to join and see if they will let you. If they do, you can sign up in tent signups and say you want to be in their group. Each group is supposed to have a group name but a lot of them haven't decided on one yet. So it's kind of hard to distinguish between groups that have the same tent design unless you write out the names of the people in the tent. If no one you owl gives you permission to be in their tent group, you can either see if other solo members of a tent want to group up with you, or you could be put in a solo tent. Also.
Once your tent thread goes up and the roster has your name on it, you can't switch tents after that point. You're stuck with whoever you're with at the time. The only exception to this is if you're alone and then find a tent group you want to join. Or you want to join with other alone members.
