A flipping page, the scratching quill and some distant footsteps were some of the few sounds that could be heard in the library, one of Samantha's favourite places to study. It was motivating to her, being surrounded by hundreds of bundles of knowledge while working on expanding her own. It gave her something to look up to, whether it was the hero in a book she held so dear or the writer of the wonderful world, they all achieved greatness, something the brunette longed for. Books gave you knowledge, helped you learn and grow, and were filled with information. They were simply amazing and so Samantha treated them with the respect they deserved. Never did she fold the corner of a book to mark the last page she had read, made little notes on the side or spill any type of drink in her book and seeing others do anything like that frustrated her greatly.
Her blue eyes flashed from the open book on her left, which was laying on top of another one, to the parchment on which she was writing the assignment she had gotten last Friday. It was typical Samantha, working on an assignment, which was given to her the day before and didn't even need to be finished for another week, on a lovely Saturday afternoon which would have been great to spend with friends. School always came first for the young duellist and friend second. Spending time with some of her many friends was something she enjoyed doing, but she enjoyed getting good grades even more.
After focusing on her assignment for a little more, Samantha decided to finally take a break from the hard work. She was pretty excited for the upcoming weeks as the foreign students would arrive at Hogwarts, which meant a lot more possible friends, and the ball would be soon, where she could hopefully dance with Eun-Ji as she had said. It wouldn't take long for the school ball to be followed by the spring break when she would finally be able to see her family again, something she was looking forward to a lot. With a big smile, the brunette took a little break and looked around.

Normally in the library, the sound of flipping pages was the loudest sound to be heard apart from the soft chatting some of the students had sometimes. Polaris enjoyed the quiet, it made studying easier, it brought a certain peace to their mind. However, today was not one of those days. They were unable to focus, it did not matter that there was such a silence that on a better day Polaris could have studied for hours, today all they could do was draw. Technically, drawing in the library books was not necessarily something that had been forbidden, but it was not exactly allowed either.
Still, they had started drawing in one of the books about human anatomy, first it had been only small drawings. A flower in the corner of the page, or a small body part they had just read about. Only after failing to read a tenth page after an hour they began to give up on studying, but because they also did not feel like going out in the hallways where all the sounds would at least triple themselves, they stayed in the library an flipped the pages in the book all the way to the last few pages that tended to be mostly blank. Polaris knew that not many people would probably flip to those pages anyway, so they started to draw bigger. What had once before on a different page been a body part, was now getting drawn to be a full fledged human. Becoming completely unaware of their surroundings, they might finally be able to find a little bit of rest and peace of mind.

Her eyes wandered across the library during the little break she had given herself to relax in between studying and it didn't take long for the second year to spot something, something truly terrible. At first glance, it hadn't looked suspicious at all, just a student drawing something, but on closer inspection, Samantha had noticed it wasn't a notebook they were drawing in, as she had assumed, but one of her beloved books. This kid dared to draw and ruin a book, which was something the writer had spent a lot of time making and was supposed to be for reading.
Disgusted by the actions of the students, Samantha stood up abruptly, her seat shrieking on the floor due to the force it was pushed back with. Straightened back and chin slightly lifted, the Ravenclaw made her way over to the table the other student was sitting at. Her books were laying abandoned in the place she had claimed for the day, as the brunette reached the book ruiner.
Placing both of her hands down on the table, she leaned a bit to see what they had drawn in the book. "What are you doing?" the question went paired with a suspicious look. The second year tried to look intimidating but it probably wasn't working that well. Her adorable chubby cheeks, low height and soft features didn't exactly give the young girl a threatening look. The only thing she could rely on to come off as a little scary was her hateful glare paired with her serious face.

They were humming softly along the sound of the pencil going over the paper. It was relaxing for them, the sound, the feeling of the pencil in their hand. They were completely unaware of the other student that had started to notice the ‘atrocity’ they were committing.
Only when the sudden shrieking of the chair could be heard, they stopped drawing for a second and slowly looked up. They took in the library for a second, after all they had just been completely focused on drawing in the book. The drawing had almost been finished, they had started to shade the drawing a bit to give it more depth when another student reached their table, the same student who had just thrown her chair back for some unknown reason, that was apparently starting to become known.
Polaris looked at the student and studied her face, even though the student clearly seemed angry and like she wanted to be intimidating, they weren’t afraid.
Raising their chin a bit and giving her a small smile they moved the book a bit so that the student could see what they had drawn in the book “I’m drawing, it’s a book about human anatomy without any pictures, I just thought it would be fun to change that!”. They kept their voice down, completely aware of their surroundings. Polaris hoped the student wouldn’t mind that they had drawn in the book too much, but considering the shrieking chair earlier and the angry looks on her face, they didn’t expect luck to be on their side today.

The two students were clearly in different moods, the lips of one were curled up into a little smile while to other hatefully glared at the book in front of her. The younger student proudly showed her the drawing they had made in the book, which looked amazing but Samantha refuse to say that out loud. If they had drawn it on paper, the brunette would have praised the drawing but now it was in a book and she was disgusted by it.
In disbelief, she listened to the others explain why they drew the picture in the book. "Because you thought it would be fun," she repeated the words in a mocking voice. "Maybe you shouldn't think at all then," she shot the students a dirty look. "I am here to tell you that drawing in a book because of the lack of pictures is nonsense. You are never allowed to draw in a book that isn't yours or you have permission to draw in even if you have amazing drawing skills," she informed the student as she inspected the drawing.
"Anyway. Unless you have permission to draw in that book, you better stop and put it away," she told as she crossed her arms. Leaning back, she waited for the other students to get moving. "Why don't you draw in a notebook next time?" she suggested. "It makes a lot more sense than ruining a random book from the library."
