They were out after dark and he came across them, warning that there could be things like hags out there, enticing children to follow them. Then he's all "you can stay out longer, just stick with me." Uh, hello, totally sounded like what you just said a hag would do! Simon saw a shovel and he tossed it, forgetting his dhampir strength.
