Farron had been at the school for an entire two days, and had decided on this Friday it was a good time to introduce herself properly to those that sat at the table in the front of the Great Hall. She didn't want to disturb any professors who had classes during the day, so she turned to a place that hopefully... would be empty. The Hospital Wing. She couldn't hear anyone screaming, there were no blood trails on her way down, so she hoped for the most part the nurse would be free for a quick introduction.
She dressed herself up to impress, wanting to make sure she made good first impressions on the staff of the school. Well, maybe second impressions? She was briefly introduced to the entire school on her first day there but that was so impersonal and she felt like a fish out of water. Just in case people forgot she was the Astronomy Professor, she wore a black skirt with constellations embroidered into the cloth, and a dark blue shirt with a sun and moon silver collar chain. It wasn't what she wore on the day to day, but she had collected enough space themed clothing to occasionally wear it for times like this. Her hair was pulled up into a curly mess of a bun, stray hairs held back with a tied headband that matched her skirt. For earrings she had large green alien earrings. She was a modern day Miss Frizzle, really.
Confidently she walked into the Hospital Wing, looking for the blonde man she had noted down in her head as the Head Nurse. She spotted him further down working on something under a magnifying glass. Hopefully it didn't need to be handled delicately as she announced her presence once she was close enough. "Nurse Brumby, right?" She stopped a couple paces in front of him, holding out her hand expectantly. "Farron Horne, the new astronomy professor. I wanted to come around and introduce myself properly." Her unique mix of an Australian and English accent was honey sweet and practically sounded like a melody as she spoke. "Apologies if you were working on something important."
The astronomer was truly excited to meet everyone and get to know the school, hazel eyes bright and smile just about as wide as it could go.

Kels had been studying the inside of some kind of twisted purple-green capsule when he heard the honeyed words of a voice he didn't recognize. Looking up, confused, he quickly changed hiss expression to bright recognition. He adjusted his magnifying glass to look at her outstretch hand. Why, there was nothing in it. He'd nod his head, like he was seeing something very telling, before taking it and shaking it. "Astronomy, huh? Ohhhh, I get it."
He would ignore her apologies, because he couldn't even remember what he was working on before, just some hare-brained theory to satisfy hiss curiosity. A new Astronomy professor was way more important, he was going to finally nip this one in the bud. "Y'come down here, third Astronomy professor since I been hired-- that's two years this November-- an' yer gonna have some tea with me, share yer life story and then..."
Picking up the vivisected plant, Kels would drop it into a bubbling beaker nearby, which would cause the predicted flash and puff of smoke to emit from the top, like a jump scare. "BAM, y'fall madly in love with me. But it's not yer fault, it mus' be some new professor curse."
Kels would lean against the back of his chair, shaking his head like a veteran who had seen too much. "The two before you stood no chance. They are probably still both thinking about me right now. Pining. It's horrible."
He'd hate to see what Leo would say if he heard Kels saying he was romantically interested in him, but... wait, no, he would have loved to hear everything he'd say on the subject. As for Nigel, he had left Kels with a confession note just shortly before leaving the castle for another job. Really, this was too much for an asexual guy who had only ever dated one person... Veela... guy. He had to lay down the law before this got out of hand.

Farron stared at her hand for an extra moment after Kelsey had shaken it, a bit confused on if she had offended him or if she had something on her hand that he could see with the magnifying glass. She put it behind her back, gently wiping it off on the back of the shirt just in case she had contracted... something, maybe cooties. Probably cooties.
The Astronomy turnover was quite high, but she planned on staying around for a long time. Or at least until the sun exploded, or she discovers something really cool in space, whichever came first. So far- what he was describing was a close friendship. She wasn't a particular fan of tea, preferring coffee over it any day. Her life story wasn't anything particularly interesting but she liked to share it. She opened her mouth to answer but was startled by the mild explosion he caused. Instinctively she took a step back. This was something she would expect from a potions professor, not the nurse.
"Well, you're a bit full of yourself if you think it would happen a third time." She looked him up and down, examining him and running her own internal calculations. "Sorry to break it to you but... You're not even my type mate." Her arms came to cross in front of her. "While I don't have a history of breaking curses, I would still like to make friends among the staff. Hopefully your past two suitors haven't ruined the opportunity for me."

To his preposterous performance, the happy-looking frivolity on her face would wither, and he'd get a talking to for his display. Kels would smile and shrug, put at ease by her honesty. "I'm pretty great." He would interrupt, before she delivered the 'not my type' line. There, now he was even more at ease.
"Thank goodness. The curse has been cleansed." Kels would look to the heavens with his palms facing upwards, blessing this holy day. "No, no, of course not, sit down."
Kels would excitedly gesture to the green chair across from his desk, the same one all his patients sat in. After almost two years, it was starting to look a little beat-up. Kels however would be beaming with playful energy, always ready to make a new friend.
"What's yer deal? Why stars, why Hogwarts?" Kels would lean back in his own chair, massgaing the palms and joints of his hands in front of him. "Do'ya like tea?"
