Hello members of W.O.R.D., and happy summer! As you all may or may not have noticed, I've been pretty quiet on H.io for some time now. As I, unfortunately, do not predict becoming exceedingly active on the site --at least enough to run this club-- any time soon, I am here to ask for a consistently-active volunteer to be my Vice President.

The job would include overseeing new members and running monthly IC club meetings in the form of an rp. We started a meeting once but it never quite got off the ground, and I feel bad that I promised you all an archery club and never provided. Hopefully enlisting a VP who is engaged and active in the community will help this club become a fun and semi-educational activity for all involved, just as I had originally hoped, and I know you all did when you signed up. Hjørdis Jensen has agreed to be our IC chaperone (for rps only), as it doesn't make sense to have a bunch of teens and tweens messing around with projectiles without adult supervision, even if they make safety their #1 concern. I foresee this being a fairly low-upkeep and low-commitment role, although an important one, so don't be worried about having a heap of work to do.

Requirements for the VP position:

1. An at least bi-weekly activity rate on the site
2. Willingness to host a monthly group role-play
3. Intermediate or higher IC knowledge of archery
4. Prior OOC knowledge of archery OR a willingness to do some basic-level research on the subject
5. Willingness to answer newcomers' questions and add them to the memberlist, as well as briefly keep an eye on the sign-ups and updates thread (this one).

I would have volunteered Kim for the position but he isn't that great with archery.

Not enough to warrant teaching other people how to do it. He's essentially beginner level, so probably wouldn't make a good VP, unless that doesn't matter. Yes, he has some experience, as he used to do it back when he was a kid, but not enough to be called intermediate/advanced. So if you require that level of IC knowledge, then he doesn't meet the requirements. But I'm sure someone will jump on it who does have that experience!

If no one has IC experience in such a manner and you can't find anyone to take the position, I can always help out though if you need help! I'm on the site every day for multiple hours per day, I don't have a life so I'm definitely active. Up until July 1st I'll be absent though, I'm planning summer camp and trying to do homework and recode my ency atm but all that should be done or near done by July 1st and I'll be back to posting.

As for access to your first post, I don't think that's possible. The only way it would be possible would be if they took over as the leader of the club. Then, the permissions change and your name would be replaced with their name and they could edit the first post.

Great news, everyone! With astonishing speed, Slytherin prefect @Cassandra Ironwoods has stepped up to the job. They will be your new Co-President and help with much of the work managing the club. Lets give them a round of (virtual) applause and a warm welcome. Keep an eye out for this month's rp sometime in the next few days or weeks.

@Kim Sato, thank you so much for being a willing volunteer. As for your concern about access to the first post, this will not be a problem since Cash is a Prefect and can therefore edit my posts.
