Books books and more books. He was going to go nuts soon if all he was seeing is useless books with no connection towards the puzzle they needed to solve. At least he could be assured there was nothing about fleabert in those stack of books. Fortunately, he didn’t need to look further since Flash had loudly announced he found something in which Hanako responded with a spart of interest. Something else than useless books? Finally!


Seeing that he was absorbed in checking the contents of the curious book, Hanako lost his curiosity and went on to others tasks he could do. If Holmwood found something, at least he would be assured he would shout again. One that was extra loud with the usual quiet atmosphere of the library. He could spare a few extra minutes finding something new. Whether they were to lose or not, it would help Hana’s ego if he were to find something apart from books, books, and more books.

He looked between where Piper had discovered Goshawk’s book, and where Flash had found Fleabert’s. What did the riddle say again? Something about them meeting? Gah, he hated riddles. Whatever his thoughts on the matter, he decided to look a little deeper into the space between the spots boht the books were found. Perhaps something similar connected them together in a way?

It took a few minutes of scanning the titles, which were slowly beginning to all look the same, until Piper's eyes finally rested on their target. Bingo. The thick Book of Spells slid carefully out of a stack of books situated in the corner. Piper inspected its exterior. Nothing too unusual. Flash disappeared down a row looking for the Fleabert book, giving confident directions to everyone else as he went. Piper rolled her eyes. It was hard to stomach people who immediately tried to assume the role of leader by pointing out obvious facts and telling everyone what to do. For some reason, those people continued appearing wherever she went.

A shout from the offender not too far away broke the silence. The Fleabert book was under custody. Piper glanced around to see what everyone else was doing. Draven had remained silent. Hanako and Vienna had been opposed to doing much work besides glancing through some books, apparently, although it made one wonder why they would attempt an escape room if they didn't want to read anything. Piper could see why one may dislike the library, of course, but no excuse was a good one. However, despite his snarky comments and apparent boredom (rather resembling the feeling Piper got when stepping into a Muggle clothing store with her mother), Hanako had walked a ways and seemed to be inspecting the shelves in between Piper and Flash's discoveries. The silence was unusual but a productive one.

The second year was unsure what on earth "where Goshawk and Fleabert meet" was supposed to mean, especially because the books were not by any means near each other, but Hanako could be on to something. She opened Goshawk's esteemed book and began to sort through its pages, efficiently scanning each one and searching for anything out of the ordinary. Maybe something would be hidden inside.
