The only less than pristine spots were a few splotch-like marks, as if maybe someone had been crying when sealing it. Otherwise, it was perfect, sealed with as straight a crease as could be possible.

The owl was as different from the owl that Ms. Notrésvace turned into as could possibly selected from the Owlery.

It was sealed with a wax seal of a dark purple with gold shimmer through it, and if Mr. Zuheir knew anything about the British Pureblood families, he MIGHT recognize it as the official Seal of the Brenhin bloodline, the kind of seal one might usually only see held by the head of the line... Which was no longer extant in the Male Line, and that might make it seem even stranger.

When he opened the letter, out would fall the ring that Aurelia had handed to Seren Yong, and a letter on matching cream parchment. The handwriting was a near perfect copperplate, the kind gained from being forced to practice writing over and over again.

It was simple, to the point, and did not in any way clear up the usage of the seal... But the ring was returned.
