Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 3
The fact that she was still on her feet was a miracle in general. She wasn’t surprised that their spells failed, given the nebulus she had cast earlier and their opponent’s knack for being nimble. Though out of the two things that Santario had not expected, the other one was definitely Thomas’s spell backfiring and setting him ablaze. She wasn’t sure at first if that was what had happened, but when the orange blaze did not penetrate the fog, and the smell of burning clothing and flesh hit her nose, it was telltale that he had set himself on fire. That gave her at least one more round to do something. Maybe she’d make it through to the other end afterall?

Frustration clouded his mind, the frivolousness of his next actions truly setting in for the boy. He preferred the time when he was knocked out first; Thomas was beginning to develop a certain level of respect for Callie and her immense perseverance and fortitude. To continue on in the face of what was likely defeat was admittedly infuriating for the boy who sought so much glory. Little did he know, this was a trait that he had inherited from his father, a fact he would have despised.
"Ohhhh my GODDDDDDDDDD!" With the 'd' in god sounding more like 'duhhhh,' Tom's exasperation was clear as day. Even despite the fog.Action: As strategized!

There was a limited time left on the metaphorical clock for this duel, and Willow was on the edge of her seat. There was still an opportunity for Ravenclaw to take the win, though the chances were slim. What Willow wasn't betting on, was Thomas forfeiting. It took Willow a moment to catch up to what was happening, but once she did she made the proper announcements. "Congratulations to Slytherin! They are the victors of today's match." Willow dispelled the cloud and made her way down to the piste to talk to the duellists and help any of them in recovery, or in escorting them to the hospital wing.Congratulations to Slytherin!

The moment the forfeit was called, Santario’s eyes narrowed, and a look of disgust replaced the exhaustion on her face. “How lame. Not even the respect to finish it out.” If there was one thing she looked down on the most, it was a forfeit. Those on her own team who did it were met with disdain in the next rounds of practice. “I am off to the infirmary.” She said bluntly as she turned her back on the Ravenclaw and slowly ambled away.

A battle of attrition Tom was doomed to lose, he wasn't keen on wasting everyone's time. There might've been a chance at victory for him, and his partner he supposed, but ultimately he squandered it some precious seconds ago. With the time limit encroaching on him, the fire and adrenaline reminding him of an entirely different place, he waved his hand wildly to signal his forfeit. "Yeah, I'm done here, sick of this."
The boy was typically over-the-top in his expressions (something he'd fervently deny in favor of being edgy and mysterious); it seemed today was the rare occasion where he was relatively stoic. Then came the taunts from his opponents, as the fog dispelled he met them with the eye roll he had been holding in for what felt like eons. "Inhaling all that fog was giving me a headache," he complained, apparently brushing off the disapproval of his opponents for the time being. The Ravenclaw took the time to pat out his flaming robes, wincing visibly as he did so before ultimately falling in line.Action: Sulking

When the forfeit was called, Illowy nearly thought she'd misheard. Now? Nearly done with the duel and he called it quits? She couldn't help but stare down the third year. He could have at least done the honor of finishing out the duel; how pathetic to not allow himself to lose honourably.
Though she wasn't nearly as vocal about her severe disapproval as her partner. Rolling her eyes, she followed at Martin's side, wanting to at least make sure her teammate made it off alright.
A frustrating and disappointing match indeed. At the very least she had some takeaways.
I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.
