"Will you write to us?" Marina's sister Azealia asked.
"Of course," Marina responded. "Everyday if you want." Azealia nodded.
"I heard that wizards and witches send letters by owls," Marina smiled watching as her dad (who is afraid of birds) shudder.
"I don't think that writing every day will be necessary," he said with a petrified look on his face.
"You're just saying that because you are afraid of birds," said Marina's other little sister Rose.
"I am not afraid of birds," he responded. At this everyone laughed for it was obvious that he was indeed afraid of birds.
"Than why did you run away from a chickadee when we were planting strawberries last year" asked Rose.
"Okay that is enough," he said.
"Alright," said Marina changing the subject, "We need to get on platform 9 3/4 it's 10:45 already."
"Where exactly is platform 9 3/4?" Marina's mother Kayako asked.
"Um..." Marina frantically looked around. "It should be right in between platform 9 and platform 10 but I don't see it."
"Maybe we are at the wrong train station," Kayako suggested.
"No, I am sure Kings Cross is the right one," Marina responded confidently, but she was starting to wonder if they had gone to the wrong train station. It was now 10:50. She looked around desperately for a wizarding family that could help her. As clock ticked on.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | It was the start of a new term. But for Kim, it was the start of his seven year adventure at Hogwarts. What would it be like for him? Would it be similar in nature to how it had been for his parents? Hiro Sato, his father, had done everything he could to ensure that Kim would get into his House. Even though Kwan Sato, his mother, had tried her best to ensure the opposite happened to him. Kim himself just wanted to be left to his own devices and be allowed to be who he really was. A Ravenclaw. That was truly who he was. But the pressure put on him by his parents had made him accept the fact that he would need to get into either Slytherin or Gryffindor. As a pureblood, the boy had many responsibilities. Respecting his parents wishes was the most important one. They took him to the station and left him there at Kim's insistence he would be fine. Earlier, his parents had played a wizard game to see whose trunk Kim would take to Hogwarts. And right before he'd left with them to head to the station, they'd played another game, to see whose robes Kim would wear on the train to Hogwarts. His parents had both ordered him a set of robes. One had green trimming and the other had red trimming, symbolizing the Houses of Slytherin and Gryffindor, their former Houses. Kim's father had won the games both times. Kwan had assured him that she wasn't upset because Kim would get into Gryffindor when he got there. A sigh escaped Kim's lips as he thought about his parents bickering about him with eachother. But there wasn't much he could do to stop them. Now, he was currently clothed in a black robe with green trimming on it, and was dragging a Slytherin trunk behind him too. These things would have convinced anyone remotely familiar to Hogwarts that Kim was a Slytherin student. He wasn't entirely sure whether this was allowed or not but whatever. It wasn't as if he was going to be wearing these robes after getting off the train. He would change on the train later on. Before they reached their destination. Only a few minutes ago, his parents had also remarked on the color of his hair and suggested to him that he change it to a more normal color. Like blond, red or brown. If he wasn't going to use his natural black color, at least choose one of the aforementioned colors. But Kim had insisted on keeping his hair white for now. And eventually, they'd allowed it. Mostly because it wasn't a big deal to them, at least not right now. Once they'd left, Kim gripped the handle of his trunk and headed off towards the platform. It was almost time to go. He approached the barrier and tilted his head to the side. There was a small group gathered near the barrier composed of three girls and an older woman. She looked like their mother. One of the girls had a trunk like his and Kim wondered if she was heading to Platform 9 3/4 too. If so, what was she waiting for? And then it dawned on him, was she a muggle? Was this her first time going to Platform 9 3/4? Kim normally wouldn't bother helping out others but he was feeling relatively nice right now. As he approached, he raised his voice a little. "Yo. You heading to Platform 9 3/4? If so, follow me." He said. Waiting for them to acknowledge and agree, he started to walk towards the extremely solid-looking pillar there. "If this is your first time and you feel nervous, close your eyes as you walk and don't stop." Kim added, just in case the girl got nervous and tried stopping mid-way through the barrier. The white haired boy disappeared through the barrier a few seconds later and waited for her to emerge too. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Goodbye Family, Hello Magic
It had been a couple minutes and Marina was pretty sure she was going to miss the train. Marina continued her desperate search for a witch or wizard to help her get on to the platform. Because there was no way she could come crawling back to her muggle school when at this point her ex-friends had probably spread the message about her being an evil witch around the whole school. The thought of going back there and telling them that this had all been for nothing and that the magic school didn’t exist terrified her, but Marina knew tomorrow that would be what she would have to do.
Marina had become completely hopeless. When all of a sudden someone came to help her. A boy, who looked like he was about her age. She decided he must have been a second year student because he wore green Slytherin robes and she doubted an unsorted first year would wear house colors.
When he asked her if she was going to the platform Marina nodded. ”Yes I am going to platform 9¾,” She followed him as he walked towards the platform. Marina listened carefully as he told her about the platform. ”So you're telling me to run into a brick wall?” Marina asked. Unfortunately, the boy had already run through to the platform.
”Did that happen?” Marina asked her family. Her mother nodded. ”I guess I should follow him.” Kayako nodded again. Marina closed her eyes and ran through the barrier. Marina followed Kim onto the train.
