Eri saw Aravis. Her leg looked awful. Eri stood up and started towards Aravis. As she was walking she felt this burning pain in her back. The burn spread from her neck down to the small of her back. Her back was burned but only like a first or second degree burn. It probably happened since her dress had caught fire and she was to distracted with her hand being burnt to realize her dress was on fire. She rolled on the ground Her hand was burnt pretty badly, but she had no idea what kind of burn it was.

The pain I need her back got worse so she fell down to her knees. Her whole backs was burnt and it hurt so bad that tears were streaming down her face. Eri sat there to regain her strength.

Not long after Ava silver saw odette. She was fine. No burns at all. Now she knew who did this. It was Charles York. She was really mad at him. But he was caught by a teacher so she couldn't do anything about it. Hopefully there wouldn't be to many people injured. Nobody died that was for sure. There wasn't enough fire for that.

[Talking to Siege]

Delilah just watched everything, not paying close attention but not completely out of it. He heard a boy yelling at some girls and getting mad about blood status, then she smelled smoke. She looked towards the tables from the other side of the room in shock before she heard the booming voice of her head of house and him stopping the fire. After that she continued to wait for her friends that still hadn't showed, there were loads of people in the room now, when she had came in there was next to nobody. And she still recognised nobody.

She was a little worried because she still knew nobody, well she had met a couple of them previously but she didn't know them very well, before her eyes landed on a guy who looked about half asleep on a chair. She raised one eyebrow, confused as to when he came in because she never saw him.

She wandered over to the gryffindor, one hand still messing with the free part of her hair, it made her a little nervous having it out of the way so she just kept messing with the bit loose from the small bun her hair was in. She stood next to him and said "Hi," kinda quietly. He still wasn't completely in her good books after the whole kiss thing but she had nobody else to talk to, "I didn't see you come in, when did you get here?" She asked, looking down at him, compared to some of the others he was dressed pretty casually, even compared to Delilah herself in her blue floral dress. She was happy in her converses, some of the others had fancy clothes.

She would have sat down on one of the seats around him, but he enjoyed being able to look down on him, because it didn't happen often, if ever, considering the height difference of the pair of them.

In response to Eris Fawley and Katya Petrov ✰
mentions Phaedra Stavrou, Rhea Bishop, Bellamy Blake, Dorian Gray, Aubren Anson & Serena Towers

An hour. That's how long Max waited in the Gryffindor Common Room dressed in the clothes his mother had sent him, feet flat on the floor and head hanging down except when he heard the odd giggle from a Gryffindor girl passing by. He kept looking up, expecting one of the people walking by to be Eris, but they were all people who were late to the Ball and running so they wouldn't disappoint their dance partner. By the time the hour was nearly over, he'd gotten so many pitying glances that he wanted to disappear. She'd said she would see him in the Common Room, right? Yet no one had even approached him to say 'hey, Eris is sick in her room and can't come.' Or even 'she doesn't want to go with you.' Had she been messing with him?

He was beyond frustrated and the back of his neck was starting to prickle in embarrassment by the time he finally decided to go to the Ball alone. Dorian would be there with Aubren, probably, and he might be able to catch up with Phaedra and Rhea. Serena or Bellamy could be hanging out too - it would be cool to see them again after all this time. He might be the only one of his friends who turned up stag, but no one could say he'd been a bad sport pouting in his room because he'd been stood up.

A brisk walk down a few slights of stairs brought him to the doorway of the Ballroom, and he drew in a deep breath before entering the expansive, wonderfully decorated place. It was already packed with students milling about, most of them greeting the people they were with or awkwardly trying to make conversation with drink in hand. He spotted Phaedra first, looking charming in her house's colour. Charming, and utterly un-charmed by the guy who'd brought her. Max arched a brow thoughtfully, resolving to do something about that by the time the night was over. After all, potion buddies needed to look out for each other, and he was still hoping for that Avery-Stavrou alliance.

Looking around to get a good feel for the rest of the place, he couldn't help but think that his parents most certainly wouldn't approve of some of the outfits here. Apparently a lot of the girls didn't have the same modest standards your conservative pure-blood household had. He purposefully avoided looking at some of the painfully overdressed or too-short skirted outfits, the idea of anyone even considering something like them making him cringe. Himself, he was decked out in simple black dress pants with a collared white shirt, sleeves rolled elegantly up to the elbow. This was a ball for a children, not a goddamn fairy tale wedding.

Forcing his expression to remain neutral instead of a lip curling in distaste, he kept his eyes wandering until he spotted a familiar spot of red amid a sea of other, less natural colours. Eris was here already? Yes, that short stature and overly fancy dress could only be one person. A small frown appeared on his mouth as he debated whether or not to go over. She'd appeared to be looking for someone but she'd just left him in the Common Room with no word on why - maybe it wouldn't be the world's smartest idea to go over and talk to her.

He was considering finding one of his other friends instead when some idiot decided to have a temper tantrum. Max simply stared in complete and utter distaste as the boy started ranting like he'd acquired a bad case of rabies and waving his wand around. Making a scene in public was disgraceful, regardless of who you were making it because of. This boy's name and family was immediately to be crossed off the list of people the Averys should have an alliance with - Professor Yornikovych was a much better option with the cool and collected way he'd dealt with it.

Shaking his head with a low sigh at the fact that drama seemed to be on every side, he avoided the overreacting girls to go see Eris even if she didn't want to see him. "What a dumbass," was how he greeted her, because if she didn't want to be his dancing partner then they could at least still joke around as friends, right? "I mean, honestly. His parents clearly didn't give him enough attention as a child." His eye roll included Eris's companion as he shot a disapproving look back at the mess.

She was dripping wet, rivers of water streamed down the sides of her face, streaking her dark make-up. Her dark, partially burnt gown clung to her and felt as if it weighed several pounds. Her indigo tresses weighed down and stringy, she was far from the belle of the ball but she did not care. Despite how things looked, she got her way.

She would attempt to reach for the wand, the very same wand that Charles had sought. She was not prevented, therefore she would grip the smooth rod of wood in her right hand. What irony, they used the exact same wand - chestnut wood with unicorn hair, albeit his was a bit longer. She could not help buck chuckle at the observation as she slid the wand into her corset.

Charles was able to find the wand, she had put it away right in front of him. In front of the Head of Ravenclaw as well. The placement might have been a deterrent for some, but not for Charles. He plunged his hand in and found what he was searching for with about as much consideration as he would give to plucking the magical implement off of the floor.

Her first instinct was to slap him. She was too flabbergasted to do so as her cheeks turned red and hot. Instead of slapping him with her beater-level physical strength, likely toppling him over like she should have she instead let out a high-pitched scream.

It was the sort of noise that one would think could break glass. Of course it didn't.

He would go on about this all being the fault of Muggles and co. One to grope and run it would seem he would depart the scene, leaving an indignant, wet (with water) Slytherin. Still, she wanted Sergei, the Professor of Transfiguration. Not in the way a girl wants a boy, he was like a hundred. No in the way every Slytherin wants someone -- for their own personal advancement.

Just a trick of the lighting they said...

[ Taking care of all those that had been soaked/burned by the fire fiasco ]
A warm smile graced Rhea's face as her longtime friend embraced her, a small weight lifting of all her chest. Katya's hugs were always something Rhea appreciated, no matter the situation. Vague memories of them hosting tea parties and dancing around one of their rooms to silent music ran through Rhea's head, and the previous smile grew even more. One could not express how much she missed spending time with Katya; the amount of school work they were constantly faced with was silly. Not to mention, Rhea still had to do her job as prefect - patrol the halls, make sure no one got into trouble. She hadn't yet been asked to administer detention (and she probably never would; instead, she would be the one attending it).

Leaning across her raven-haired friend and grabbing a pastry, she bit into the sweet, the taste filling her mouth and dancing pleasantly across her taste buds. As her eyes drifted close and she became enthralled with the taste, she felt herself being dragged somewhere, almost tripping over long gown. Katya threw away something she'd been eating, claiming she didn't want it anymore. Shrugging, Rhea decided not to speak, as her mouth was filled with food. It was rude, in her eyes (more like her parent's eyes, but was there really a difference now?) to speak while she chewed, so Rhea kept her mouth locked shut. Swallowing the food in her mouth, Rhea prepared to talk but Katya had excused herself to go talk to Eris, who was talking to some boy who was dressed like... a farmer's boy. He looked familiar. Wracking her brain, Rhea tried to figure out why... Wait, was he the one that she'd danced with at the practice ball? It was, wasn't it? She remembered the flower he'd given her, and giggled as she remembered how peculiar she'd found it. But, if he was friends with Eris, who wouldn't be?

Rhea looked closer, an eyebrow quirking as she took in what he was wearing. Were those... rags? Rhea snorted, imagining someone showing up to the ball with simply a rag. Soon, she ended up smiling like a maniac as she imagined the person dancing by themselves, dancing with rags.

Why was she like this?

Shrugging, Rhea looked around to see if she could find anyone familiar she could talk to. She turned around and found a certain redhead girl, someone who seemed to be completely--or, almost completely--cured of their injuries. Smiling, Rhea decided to approach the girl who'd become a close friend of hers, despite the unpleasant circumstances they'd met under. Cramming another pastry into her mouth, Rhea noticed that she was talking to two other students - one of which she recognized as Adam Harringtom, who she was supposed to be here with. Well, by approaching them, it seemed she could kill two birds with one stone.

Cleaning her hands with a napkin, Rhea fixed the straps of her ballgown which were slowly starting to fall down. The straps were the only part of her dress that irked her - she had to keep readjusting them every so often to make sure they wouldn't fall down. The length of the dress she could deal with - trails were not something Rhea was unfamiliar with. Casting a last look at the food, Rhea bit her lip and grabbed a small cracker, biting into it. Before she turned to walk away, she saw something familiar laid out on the table... something white and fluffy... something that had caused her to choke earlier. Her eyes wide, Rhea backed away from the table-

-and was immediately hit by water. Almost all of her hair, the complete left side of her dress, and part of her face were splashed by the water that sprang out of Professor Yor.. whatever's wand. Eyes shutting close immediately, Rhea refused to believe what had just happened. Who would be insane enough to start a bloody fire at a ball? With almost a bajillion people?

And now, her dress was soaked! She was soaked! Everything about her was completely, absolutely, totally, drenched. Her eyes flying open, Rhea looked around to see what had happened, and the aftermaths of the crazy kid.

There were a few who had gotten burned by the fireballs, but most were either soaked or completely unharmed. Thankfully, Professor Your Knee Cove Ick had put out the fire as soon as possible... by drenching everyone. Rhea wasn't sure whether to be mad at the professor or at the crazy kid who'd started it, but ultimately decided to turn her wrath on the crazy kid. Who cast Incendio at a ball anyway? Even she wouldn't do that!

Running to the mass of people that had collapsed with the force of the fire, Rhea found a familiar brunette girl who looked to be frozen in shock. The fireball had almost hit Rosie! Now, Rhea was really, truly angry. Her eyes burned with the fire of a thousand suns, and Rhea promised to herself that if she ever saw the Crazy Kid ever again - she would Incendio him, no matter the consequences.

Picking up her long dress and running over to Rosie, Rhea tried to ignore the squelching of her dress and shoes as she ran. Her hairdo was sagging, about to fall out of its complex updo, but Rhea didn't care about that right now. Okay, maybe she cared a little bit, but she cared more about the wellbeing of her friend. Rosie was standing awfully close to the tables that Crazy Kid had burned, and the young girl was worried. Not to mention, the others that had gotten burned as well. Rhea felt that as prefect, she had to make sure no one was hu-oh my god, one of the Slytherin girls Aravis was burned bad. Rhea rushed to her but took a step back when she saw that others were already taking care of her. Nodding in approval, Rhea turned back to Rosie and tilted her head when she saw someone enter the ballroom. It was a boy - a familiar, Gryffindor boy to be more precise. He made his way into the crowd, to where Rhea presumed Eris and Katya stood. Rhea made a resolve to go to them once she made sure that Rosie was okay, and that nothing bad had happened to the other kids that were close to Crazy Kid.

Turning to face Rosie, Rhea swiped a piece of hair out of her face. The complex hairdo had almost completely come to rest on the nape of her neck, so with a sigh, Rhea started to undo it. The pins fell out but she kept the flowers in. As her red hair slowly found its way tumbling down its back once more, Rhea spoke, a look of the utmost concern in her eyes. "Did the fire get you, at all? Are you hurt?" Question after question fell out of the Gryffindor's mouth, her motherly instincts kicking in. Finally realizing that she might be overwhelming Rosie, Rhea stopped. She sighed loudly and rubbed her temples, deciding to direct her attention on the burn victims.

"Anyone who has been hurt by the fire, please make your way to the Hospital Wing with a friend or someone. If you need help, come to me or any of the other prefects or professors present. Please don't hurt yourselves even more," Rhea took a deep breath in, calming her nerves down. While at a different time she would have laughed her butt off at this situation, she couldn't this time. The gravity of the situation was understood, and Rhea knew that she had to take charge. It was something she was most certainly not used to, as her parents or nanny were usually the ones who told her what to do; but, if she couldn't take charge then why was she chosen to be a prefect? Nodding her head with a determined expression, Rhea continued. "If you are soaked or drenched, please head out and get changed so as to not make a mess and not get sick. Again, if you need any help don't hesitate to come to me or anyone else!" Rhea finished her speech with a smile, and squeezed some water out of her hair.

Sighing, Rhea turned back to Rosie. The feeling of taking charge was unfamiliar, but welcomed. It seemed as if it was something that was programmed into her very being; it came naturally to her and she loved the thrill it gave her. Despite the tragic events that had just occurred, Rhea managed a small smile - whether to sooth the people around her, convince them that everything was okay, or simply because she finally felt in control for once she didn't know. Most likely a combination of both. Whatever the case, a small smile danced across the ginger's face.

Coming to the ball, she most certainly did not expect to be on prefect duty - instead, she wanted a simply night with her friends, one that she could simply enjoy without any troubles. No thoughts of her parents, of her fired nanny, of her criminal aunt; just happy thoughts and the company of her friends. Shrugging, Rhea came to understand that she could never just shirk her responsibilities.

Rhea looked around the ballroom, trying to see if there was anyone else that was too affected by the Crazy Kid fiasco. Not finding anyone else that demanded her immediate attention, Rhea took Rosie's hand and started to drag her to where Eris, Max, and Katya were standing. She wasn't unaware of Rosie and Max's rocky relationship, and even if she was, she still would've taken her there and forced the two to reconcile.

"I'm gonna make sure Eris and Katya are okay, you wanna come? It's fine if you don't too, I won't be worried about it oof," Rhea said, grabbing a fistful of her dress and squeezing the water out angrily. The wet dress was ever so uncomfortable and heavy on her body, but before she could change she had to make sure everyone was okay. Although it was against what her father taught her--"You before everyone else, always. Never the other way around, you understand me?"-- Rhea couldn't help it. She cared too much about her friends; she cared too much about those that had made her forget her bad memories of her parents.

But that didn't mean she would pardon the ruining of her dress. Oh no, the next time she saw Mr. I-Like-To-Set-Public-Places-On-Fire, she would unleash her full wrath on him. And nothing could stop her, that was for sure.

the trouble is, if you don't risk anything -- you risk more.

Kaegen watched Eris get taken away by that odd girl he had met earlier, his bit of hopefulness draining quickly, succumbing to the exhaustion. Other people were talking to him, Eris had said something and the odd girl had probably also said something or another. But he had missed them all, focusing instead on trying to pinpoint the feeling he was getting.

Something dangerous was afoot, or at least there was tension rising from somewhere in the room. His eyes ignored eris, the odd girl, the other girl, and just turned to stare into the crowd. He hadn't forgotten about them, he knew where they were, he was prepared for an attack from behind. Especially from the odd girl, but you never knew.

He finally detected the source of the tension, in the form of...

An idiot.

There was a boy playing with fire like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. Kaegen didn't know why or how it had come to this, but it was obvious the boy was stupid. Beyond stupid, even. He didn't even have a target, he was just randomly throwing around fire. That would be the same as Kaegen throwing a handful of knives into the air and hoping they would land on someone he hated.

One of Kaegen's hands vanished into it's loose sleeve, followed by another. They reached for his slingshot and found it in a instant that took far longer than it should have. But he stopped, the slingshot not coming to bear as the old man that reminded him oddly of some gruff creature took care of the situation and the student. Kaegen turned to face the large door, thoughts of food forgotten as he blanked out everything around him.

There was some screaming, some idiotic students were worried about other people. Eris would be fine without him, she had the professor to watch over her, didn't she? It was a constant concern to him that she would get hurt, that she would get into some kind of trouble and he wouldn't be there, but he was too tired. He had gotten tired while training so that he could watch over his friend, but it had blown up in his face. He had moved slowly with his slingshot.

He wasn't capable. But his little mind couldn't seem to connect the dots. Couldn't seem to connect his sleepless nights with his exhaustion. More training, more training and he would be fine. If he studied more, if he practiced more with his wand he wouldn't need sleep or rest. It was the delusions of a 11 year old with a bar set for himself. A bar that he set too high.

And then he started to leave the room.

Winifrey nodded to both of her friends, although her brow drew together in slight worry at Aurelia's arm. That should probably be fixed or else it would most likely hurt for the rest of the night. Her blue eyes glanced around the room, saddening when seeing those that had been harmed by the uncontrolled spell. At least there were others helping them out. Some of the wounds looked quite severe though.

Seeing Asteria move away to talk to the Professor that had stepped in, Winifrey turned to to her friend Aurelia. Her eyes glanced to her arm once more before giving her a worried look. "Maybe we should go get that checked. They probably have some magic cream to heal it. At least to take the pain away," She gave her friend a point look as she began to lead her towards the entrance of the ballroom.

To be serious, she simply wanted to leave. Thinking about how fast the situation escalated made her stomach squirm. Her desire to leave the crowded room only grew as she thought of the most likely empty infirmary. Hopefully it was empty.

"If you want to go to the infirmary, we should go now," Winifrey whispered to her friend as she glanced to the other students that were injured, some far more than Aurelia. "If we're the first ones, it will be a quick in and out thing," She told her.

Hopefully, Aurelia would agree so they could quickly come back to the ball, pain free. If there was going to be any ball at all, of course. Maybe they would be able to help clean up. But she was sure that there was a fancy spell that put everything back together. Hopefully.

Alexander was about to speak to Aravis when he suddenly saw what seemed like a heated discussion between several people including a Slytherin boy. Alex would listen intently and frown when it seemed the boy was a pureblood bigot. He could not help but show some physical and mental disapproval of the bigot.

Not necessarily because he was a bigot, though that made him dislike the boy. But mostly because he was acting like an idiot. Cursing everyone and making enemies left and right was simply a stupid thing to do for a Slytherin bigoted or not. Alex could not help but think that this boy was like the former generations of Slytherin with an attitude the house should get away from.

Then his eyes went wide as he saw the boy cast incendio at several tables and he himself moved towards the exit of the room but before he had left the room the insane pureblood bigot had already been disarmed by the transfiguration professor. Alex would instinctively walk away from the man as he seemed furious and did not want to get anywhere near that.

Then Alex's eyes as he heard that idiot backtalk the transfiguration professor. Was he officialy insane, he was only making this situation worse saying that he wanted to personally burn people like him. He then stood frozen unsure of what to do now after that kind of interruption.

Eris didn't sit down like Katya did, still looking around the ballroom. Was she supposed to meet Max? Yeah, probably. Should she go get him from the common room if he was still there? Most likely. Or maybe he had stood her up for something stupid, like hunting down immortality again. Still standing, Eris opened her mouth o say something to Katya, most likely around the lines of 'I should go get Max'. or 'I should go eat something'. Before any words could leave her lips, the purple table cloth and flowers exploded into an inferno of heat, stinging the hairs on Eris's arms. Leaping backwards, Eris stared at the table in muted shock, eyes going straight to the raven haired girl who had been sitting at the table, as it erupted into flames.

The table was on fire, and a boy was screaming the fire spell over and over again, pointing his wand at different tables with a vengeful expression on his tiny face. Eris turned to stare at Katya, expression of horror on her face. The boy looked insane, and clearly, the prefect pure blood princess wasn't equipped to deal with real life things. Like a fire. But Eris might of been.

What was with hogwarts sudents and fire? First it was the hufflepuffs, now this strange Slytherin boy. Letting out a panicked scream, the conflicting emotions of rage, fear, and nerves finally exploding inside of her, allowing the girl to let out a very un-gryffindor like scream.

Just as quick as the fire started, it went out. A douse of water appareed out of nowhere, covering the girls and the table in it's blissful relief. Grateful she hadn't taken action, or been forced too, Eris sighed and looked around the ballroom.

"Katya, are you okay? What on earth was that?"

Everywhere she looked, there was chaos of one kind or another. Some of the girls seemed to have been burned by the rambunctious boy's flames, and were running around, as A Professor-wait, was that KFC man?-- tried to deal with the chaos around him, and the panicked students. Some of the elder students were trying to defuse the situation, while most of the 11 year olds ran around like a flock of terrified chickens, ramming into each other and screaming.

The chaos stopped for a moment, as a familiar voice rang out in Eris's ears, and she turned towards Max, a smile blooming on her face. Max! He was finally here. Letting out a strangled sound of relief, aware that she, and the table, was covered in water, Eris wrapped her arms around her friend. Normally something she wouldn't do, but the stress and the worry about him not showing up and being set on fire got the better of the red head.

"I'm so sorry, did I forget you in the common room, or do you just not want to show up? Well, you certainly showed up at the right time, regardless. Eris muttered, obviously meaning the chaos of the ballroom, that was nothing like a ball in story tales had ever gone like. Why couldn't he have shown up before everything went to hell?

Removing her hands, and stepping away, Eris's hands went slack at her sides, as she looked around the wreck of a ballroom. Rhea seemed to be controlling it quite well, and Eris felt a rush of pride at the way her friend was handling the situation. Eyes panning, Eris caught sight of a boy reaching into a girl's dress to grab a wand. Her eyes widened, and Eris took a step back into the charred table, staggering into the remains of the purple table cloth.

The girl let out a scream, and Eris's jaw dropped open in shock. Was..was that legal? Who would do something like that? Watching the boy run out of the ballroom, Eris shook her head in disbelief. All of this chaos, over a ball? What was going to happen at the next quidditch game? Had a boy just given a Slytherin girl major cooties? Why wasn't the professor doing anything!? That was horrible, he should get expelled for that, and for starting a fire at a ball.

Obviously, there was no chance of dancing at this point. The ballroom was a wreck, and all of the dressing up had been for nothing due to one stupid boy. Eris had just wanted to feel like a princess for the night, and that had been ruined too. What kind of princess got her table set on fire, and than dosed out with water? Not a good one.

"Obviously, we might not want to kick any ravenclaws tonight. Or dump the punch bowl." Eris finally muttered, turning back to Max with a look that was more somber than usual.

As soon as the words left her lips, she heard a voice-- a voice behind her, not so far as to echo; rather near, in fact. A boy's voice calling out a word, a word that she knew from Professor Wright's Herbology class to be able to cause quite the conflagration. "Incendio!" the word was, the Fire-Making Spell she and her classmates were taught, uttered several times with an undertone that was not quite inconspicuous enough to be called undertone of fury. Another thing they were taught in Herbology class, in the erstwhile lesson she remembered bluntly and clearly:

Never use the Fire-Making Spell to harm others.

The girl whirled, her loose skirts flying around her and the silk scraping against her legs. The brush of fabric was the only feeling her conscious mind registered before the blast of flame plumed up from a table mere feet away, swallowing up the food and cloth like the ravenous beast that fire was so often depicted as in her novels and stories. Cel's immense shock rocked her mind, yet it never made it past the thick wall of her wary guard that stood firm and adamant in her instinctive reaction to fling it up. The flame-- it danced, it called, it flickered, it beckoned--

She felt her mind slipping away from the present, fire taking over her consciousness.

And then she seized her mind and pulled, pulled in a way she could never describe in the words she adored and despised as well, tugged on her own consciousness to remain in the present. It was barely a millisecond-- she wondered briefly how so much could be happening in so little time-- but it was enough, for a plume of water leaped to cover the tongues of light not unlike a blanket putting a wroth child involved in an acrimonious argument with his or her parents to sleep. Perhaps she did nothing at all, perhaps her mind simply made up a memory for her to understand why she did not dissolve into the past for long enough, but she remembered it so and did not care what happened in truth. After all, who was she intending to speak to about it? No, at that moment, she did not care so.

Then the tugging at her mind was gone, and she gasped to find her side dripping with water, the silken fabric of her dress soaking and holding the liquid to burden her with even more weight. She herself had merely been splashed; some were simply soaking wet and blinking water out of their eyes-- and she was lucky, she supposed, that she had not been so near the fire. Very, very lucky.

Kaegen? Was Kaegen okay? She pivoted, an action not so easy in her glorified footwear, but could spot a mop of unruly black hair moving toward the door-- seemingly unhurt, but then he seemed stolid regardless. Others-- red-haired Eris, whom she had spotted earlier... that shock of ginger just there would have to be hers seemed fine enough-- hale enough to be speaking to another boy beside her, at least, without much signification of pain or fear other than surprise at her, well, rather soaked state.

Another wave of titian hair caught her eye; for a second she registered the Gryffindor Prefect-- Rhea Bishop, was it not?-- striding to settle the chaos, if she was seeing correctly, which was admittedly questionable-- but since it made sense and Cel was not galvanized enough to doubt, she did not question it. Moments later she simply stared at Professor Yornikovych and a student she did not know, likely the student who had cast the destructive spell in the first place considering Professor Yornikovych's expression, and her gaze followed him to the ground... and to the wand he had clearly been ordered to leave. But the smoke swallowed up her vision before she could see what came of the suspicious pose. A slight widening of the eyes was all that Cel's face showed, decorated with a slight raise of the eyebrow she was fully aware of before she froze in place, a battle ravaging her mind. Tell, don't tell. What if you get involved?

Dazedly, the argument still roaring, her body moved to step toward the Transfiguration professor, seeing another girl speaking to him. She heard the word wand in her general stupor. Good, hopefully, the topic has been already brought up and attention obtained... yes.

"I think," Cel murmured, then raised her voice to be heard over the cacophony, "I think I saw him-- the blonde Slytherin, wasn't it-- grab it..." But she was not sure, she had not seen the act done. "I'm not sure," she repeated the thought in her mind aloud. "Not sure if I... saw it right..." Oh, dear. Hopefully, nobody would hate her for this. A little voice in the back of her mind upbraided her for getting herself involved-- better, always better, to remain unnoticed and unbothered.

Perhaps she could take her exit soon... after she somehow got out of the conversation. After that, she might be able to do what she did best: disappear. But first-- she was involved; she needed to either solve the issue or back out fairly.
