Earlier, he'd set up a bunch of chairs.
Off to the side and away from the main two tables. There had been a reason for this.
Those chairs had been set up with the backs of the chairs facing eachother in a circle. Kim had intended for all the guests and the birthday girl to play a game together with them.
It was a fun game and wouldn't take much time to play but he thought it might serve as a form of entertainment. "Can I get your attention? Now that you've have seen the birthday girl, and hopefully eaten some food and refreshed yourself, let's move on to the last 2 parts of the party! I set up a short but fun game that we can play and then we can do presents. It's called 'musical chairs' I think." The blond said.
"It's a muggle game that's quite popular. I know because I looked it up after doing some research into games you can play at a birthday party. Afterward, you can stay as long as you want or leave if you have other engagements. Thank you all for coming to celebrate with Bailey!" Kim told them and glanced over at Simon and AngelFyre. "If you two want to help, now is the time." He said with a nod to the two.
He gestured for them to come over.
"So there are two roles to be filled, if you're interested." Kim told them.
"I need one of you to be in charge of music and the other to make sure no one tries to push someone off their chair once they've been seated." Kim told them, not caring which person did which role. "I can take care of this myself if you two want to participate in the game. But if you want to help out, once the winner is chosen, we can do it one more time to see how you would fare." He said, giving both options.
"For music, you'd just sing anything you want to. Or if you don't want to sing, you can hum or make any other type of musical sound." Kim said.
Then, the blond turned to gaze at the other present and raised his voice to be heard by everyone. "Please gather around the circle of chairs on the grass, while I explain the rules. First, the point of this game is to walk around the chairs while some form of music is going on. When the music stops, everyone has to sit down in a chair. The person who doesn't make it to a chair in time is eliminated." Kim said.
"And this continues until there is only one chair and two people remaining. Since we have a total of 11 guests as of right now, there will be 10 chairs at the beginning of the game. Any questions?" Kim asked, glancing around the area. "If not, please take your positions around the set of chairs." He told them and waited for them all to gather around the various chairs. This would probably be a lot of fun for them all.
Kim met Sophia's eyes.
He hoped she would understand his unspoken words about Puffie.
Since he didn't want anyone to know Puffie was his, Sophia would need to subtly put Puffie into Kim's satchel that was nearby. Hopefully, she was smart enough to realize this.
It was nice to see Draven again. After Juniper's departure, both of them had been saddened. But they'd been able to connect for a time over this and had become more familiar with eachother as a result. He waited for everyone to gather around the set of chairs out on the grass and wondered how things would go. Deciding to grab a bite to eat while he waited, Kim made his way over to the food table and quickly downed some food, before he headed over.

Surprise!
After talking to everyone, and eating a little food, Bailey went to join Kim at the games. Turned out that they were playing musical chairs. It was a popular muggle game, and Bailey enjoyed playing!
After the game was finished and people started leaving, Bailey made sure to thank everyone for coming.
Helping clean up, gathering the trash and picking up the decoration, Bailey tried to help Kim in any way she could. Gathering up all the extra food, Bailey helped put it in containers. There wasn’t much left over, a sure sign that everyone had enjoyed the food. They worked in silence, until they were almost finished.
“Kim” Bailey broke the silence. “Thank you so much for doing this- I don’t know how you did it, but it made today so special, and amazing. It really means a lot to me!”
Smiling, she leaned over and hugged him.
“I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to repay you- you organized this, got all of the food and probably made some of it, got everyone to come, set it all up- it’s perfect!”
Gathering up her gifts in her arms, Bailey started waking up towards the castle.
This was not the afternoon she was expecting, but it was still amazing!

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | It seemed as if everything had been a success. Kim was glad Bailey seemed to have enjoyed herself at the surprise celebration party, that was all he'd wanted. As people started to leave, Kim started to clean up the area. Bailey joined him to help out, even though she didn't have to. But it was nice spending some alone time with her, even if it was just to clean the place up. As she thanked him and then gathered up all her gifts into her arms, Kim let his blue eyes flicker over her for a few seconds. "I'm glad you enjoyed it, making you happy is one of the joys I get in life." He told her with a faint smile. The blond glanced around the area. All that remained was for him to contact the person who'd helped him a bit earlier. They'd already spoken beforehand about what to do with the mini set. Kim was to contact them when he was done with it and they would come over, use their spell to shrink it and then return it to him at a later date. He'd placed the containers with the leftover stuff inside his satchel already and cleaned up the general area. All that remained was the mini-set, so he was free to set off, which led him to making his next offer to the girl by his side. "You heading back to your dorms? Here, let me carry them for you. Can you carry my satchel?" Kim asked the girl. He reached over to take the gifts from her arms. Once he'd managed to get hold of all of them, he waited for Bailey to start off and followed behind her. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

‘ I'm glad you enjoyed it, making you happy is one of the joys I get in life’ … what does that means? Bailey wondered. That didn’t seem like something a friend said to a friend… did best friends say things like that?
Blushing, Bailey looked him up and down, her arms full of presents.
“Thanks Kim.” she almost whispered, and then smiled. “That really means a lot!”
Kim looked like he was thinking, and then he asked if she was heading back to her dorm. Nodding, she said “Yep! I gotta put these down before I drop them.”
Then he offered, or rather insisted that he carry her gifts back for her, if she would carry his bag.
Accepting his offer, they traded loads and headed up the hill leading to the castle.
She was leading, with Kim right before. Sure that he was going to try and stop her from opening the door for him, Bailey ran ahead a few steps and opened it, jokingly Boeing to Kim and saying, “Here you go, kind sir!”
Smirking, she followed him inside the castle and shut the door.
At the door to the Ravenclaw common room and dorms, Bailey retrieved her gifts, and gave Kim his bag back.
“Thanks Kim- I can’t tell you how grateful I am to you !” she said, and then she opened the door to the common room and entered. Closing the door behind her, Bailey sighed, and found herself smiling.
Kim had made her so happy with this, and she was sure this happiness would last.
