Full name: Willow Ada Grey
Birthday: 12, August, 2010
Wand: 27,7 cm chestnut wood and phoenix feather
School year: First Year
Species: Human
Special Abilities: None (at least for now, maybe)
Background/History
Physical Description: Willow is shorter than average, standing at barely 4 feet, 8 inches, or 56 inches. Willow has a slight athletic build with a swimmers build. She has slightly toned muscles but is not bulky. Willow often helps out on her mother’s sister’s farm in Ireland, and raced through the woods and in the rivers with her cousins, making her stronger and faster than she appears. Willow has a kind looking face, with a round face and her bright blue eyes. She usually has her reddish brown hair long, and down. Willow prefers her hair down over it being pulled up in a fancy hair-do. Her skin is slightly pale, because of her many hours inside reading or studying. Despite the many hours she spends outside with her cousins working on her aunt’s farm any tan she may get fades during her many hours spent in the library. Willow’s face is splattered with freckles that she got from her mother’s side of the family.
Mental description:
Willow may seem like an odd person due to the fact that she didn’t spend time around many kids her age outside of forced interaction in school. Most of her cousins that she spend her time with were several years older than her and those that weren’t were many years her younger. Willow also doesn’t speak very loudly or often if the person she is interacting with isn’t someone she knows well. She has anxiety and will likely just stand and observe those around her unless she feels comfortable. After Willow gets warmed up to you however, she gets very sarcastic and will loudly announce her presence if she feels like you aren’t paying her enough attention. Willow’s mother has often described Willow to be like a cat, shy around strangers, but demanding once they know you.
Biography: Willow was raised to not know home as a place, but rather as people. She didn’t have any siblings, but her and her parents were really close. They moved a lot so Willow found stability in reading. Willow loved it and began reading small chapter books in kindergarten and was reading books bigger than her by the time she was in second grade. Willow also had a huge, very spread out family and knew she always had a support group to fall back on. Willow took learning as a challenge and always strived to be ahead of the class. Because of that she didn’t make very many friends in most of the places where she stayed for less than a year. That only gave her more of a drive to learn in school. Willow moved back to South Carolina and made quite a few friends. That only made it harder when her and her family moved across the sea. While there she ended up skipping a grade and went into middle school early. Because she was much younger than her classmates she didn’t make friends with the people in her classroom. So, when she got her Hogwarts letter, she wasn’t upset about having to leave any friends behind. Instead she was upset about seeing her parents and her family less. Willow had just found a young stray cat to adopt and her mother just announced she was pregnant. However Willow was also excited to learn more about how to control the strange things that always happened to her.
Where Willow has lived: Willow was born in the United States and was raised all over the country. Willow was born in Oklahoma, and moved to South Carolina when she was only a few months old. Her and her parents moved there to be closer to her father’s mother and step-dad to help them with money problems. After living there for a few months and helping them get back on their feet, one-year-old-Willow and her parents moved to New York to get work at Willow’s father’s brother’s business. They lived there for two years before moving down to Florida to be with Willow’s mother’s parents. After living in Florida for a year, Willow’s parents moved to California, deciding to try and get away from their family and be independent. Willow’s parents stated a business that became really successful, and we’re planning on finally settling down and staying in California. However, after receiving word that Willow’s dad’s step-dad was sick, they moved back to South Carolina and lived there for two years with Willow’s dad’s mom until he passed. After that, they decided to pack up their belongings and move across the sea. They arrived in Ireland and stayed for a month with Willow’s mom’s sister until they could find a house over in England. They eventually decided to rent a place in Liverpool and stayed there for a year, before finally buying a house in London, which is where they have stayed since.
Summary (because that was complicated): Born in Oklahoma, moved to South Carolina at a few months old. Moved to New York at age one. Moved to Florida at age three. Moved to California at age four. Stayed there for a few months and moved back to South Carolina. Stayed there for two years and moved to Ireland at age six. Stayed in Ireland for a month. Moved to Liverpool for a year. Moved to London, and stayed.
Athleticism/Sports: Because of Willow’s stronger than she seems build, Willow enjoyed playing sporty games with her many cousins. She didn’t get to play sports growing up because of how often she moved, so Willow loved the games they played. Although she was one of the younger ones she was always determined to win, even if she had to use more strategy than muscle to even stand a chance against her older cousins.
