Sarah had been buzzing with excitement from the moment that she had learned she would be going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, of course she had heard so much about it, she came from a Pure Blood family after all and she had heard her parents tell her all of the stories from the moment that she was old enough to understand what they were saying, when she had been able to beg for more stories every night before bed

She had boarded the train and wandered up and down the train, past most of the students who had already found a place to sit with their friends

Towards the end of the train she found what appeared to be an empty compartment and she pushed open the door, putting her bags up in the overhead section and sitting by the window, a book lying open on the seat next to her, her legs tucked up under her

She was watching out of the window, watching as the last few students said goodbye to their families, she couldn't see her parents, they'd likely rushed off as soon as they'd said their quick and brief goodbye. When the last few students got on the train, they pulled away from King's Cross Station, Sarah began to watch the scenery passing by

Taking a bit of a stroll on the express, Monica allowed herself to see what other students would she be living alongside during her time at Hogwarts? It was amazing walking through the isle, passing compartment after compartment, not even sensing you were on a moving train, unless you were told.

As she walked along, she was looking for the courage to introduce herself to some more students, in hopes of making some more connection. But unfortunately the nerves got to her. The more she passed up opportunity, after opportunity to strike up a conversation, she started to wonder if it was all a waste. Why not just return to her own compartment, and wait out the rest of the travel just like everyone else?
But that wasn't who Monica was, curious at heart, and always seeking to meet people, though the first meeting was always the hardest, but she was determined to make friends! To establish herself at this school! To make the most of an unforeseen circumstance.
Eventually she passed by a girl sitting alone in a compartment staring out the window as the world outside past by. She seemed tranquil, and yet there was an excitement that filled the space.
Monica took a moment. Weighing her options to invite herself into the space or not.
Taking a breath, she lifted her hand, and knocked at the door.

"Excuse me, but would it be possible for me to join you?"

Willow dragged her luggage behind her as she became increasing desperate to find a compartment. Why did all the compartments have to be full, and why of all days did her parents choose this one to be late. Willow barely had time to say goodbye to her parents, let alone get on the Hogwarts express.

The train started moving and Willow looked out the windows to see her parents waving goodbye to her. She was overcome by a wave of sadness as the train trudged forward, leaving her parents behind. Shaking her head, Willow continued her search for a compartment with renewed vigor.

She felt like she had been searching forever. Suddenly the long line of compartments was starting to feel small and Willow felt as though she would never find a compartment that wasn’t full of loud and unfamiliar people. Looking into a compartment, Willow found that there was only two people, both looking to be around her age.

Willow took a deep breath, preparing herself in case they decided to reject her from their compartment. She slowly reached a trembling hand toward the door. Knocking softly, with her head lowered, Willow slowly opened the door.

“Sorry to bother you, but is there a chance I could sit in this compartment with you two?”
