Just Another One of 'Those Days'
Alec was again trying to be nice, suggesting Pygmy puff should go spend time elsewhere, with other people, away from Alec. He didn't know how else to tell Pygmy puff to go away. He had mentioned Pygmy puff pushing the limits but all of it really was pushing Alec's patience. No doubt he would end up storming off, and would sadly not get to keep his spot in the library, and all because he couldn't couldn't Pygmy puff to leave. Alec let out a breath of air. Putting his hands out onto the table Alec put his head in his hands. He said he had given up but clearly not. His life could never find peace with Pygmy puff around. It wasn't an insult, as this point he was just stating facts. Alec sighed. “Okay, but this isn't about groups needing you.” As he spoke the words came out mumbled by his hands.
Pygmy puff went on about finding other people later, saying don't worry as Alec wasn't the only one he was targeting. Why thank you Pygmy puff, that totally puts a person at ease and makes them feel better about the situation. Could he not realize how strange he sounded when the words came out? Never mind that though, because Pygmy puff moved on quickly, deciding to question Alec about his aspirations instead. The third-year felt he didn't have time for this. He didn't want to deal with it either.
“Ugh... Don't ask me about my aspirations. I a few minutes ago had drenched myself in ink, and you decide to bring up aspirations.” Alec spoke, voice still mumbled by his hands. He huffed. He didn't want to be questioned right now anyway. He was just wanting Pygmy puff to leave, or at least act as if he didn't exist. He removed his head from his hands to look up at Pygmy puff and make sure he was heard clearly, this way there could be no misunderstandings. “I have a better idea. Let's play the quiet game. If you talk you lose, and if you lose I walk away. And you've practically already agreed since your listening to me and words are close enough to magically-bind contracts.”

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | Alec's behavior didn't come as a surprise. Most people initially reacted like this to him and Hiro was used to it because it had happened time and time again. Hiro idly wondered how Alec would react next, based off the reactions of everyone else before him. Either he was going to get up and walk away, in an attempt at getting rid of him, or he would yell at him. Hopefully, the boy wouldn't turn violent and whip out his wand to try and cast something on him. Hiro had gotten that reaction before too. He'd even gotten tricked by various people, one had actually given him a potion and said they'd gotten him some pumpkin juice. Hiro had drank it and ended up not being able to speak for quite some time after consumption. Yes, it had been a Muffling Draught potion. But the reaction Hiro most wanted from him was for Alec to reluctantly accept his presence. As he'd decided to make Alec one of his friends. As the duelist put his head into his hands, Hiro watched him with slight amusement. Did he really bother him that much? Or was it totally unrelated to what was going on between them right now? As Alec started to mumble into his hands, Hiro tilted his head to the side. What was he saying? He couldn't quite make out all the words. But as they had been mumbled by Alec, maybe it was fine. Maybe he wasn't supposed to understand them. Alec's response to his earlier question was also mumbled but Hiro could make out a bunch of the words. Ugh, aspirations, drenched and ink were the words he picked up on. Going from those words, Hiro could guess what Alec had said to him. Perhaps his aspirations had 'gone up in smoke' due to the little ink incident. What a shame. Ah, Alec had raised his face from his hands. Now he could hear him clearly and a smile came to his lips again. As the boy came up with a 'fun game' to play between them, Hiro nodded. He was always up for games, it didn't matter what they might be. And he liked the idea that if he didn't lose, Alec wouldn't walk away from him. It was awesome. All he had to do was keep quiet. Easier said than done. But at least for now, Hiro could do this. He continued to gaze at Alec with a faint smile on his lips. It would be interesting to see how long Alec could stand this. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Just Another One of 'Those Days'
The third-year had rambled on about the quiet game and before he knew it there was silence. Though he had not expected his suggestion of the quiet game to work Alec was pleasantly surprised by the results. It was quiet, the way libraries were supposed to be, it was amazing. Alec glanced towards pygmy puff, sitting there, silent, Alec had to blink a few times to make sure it was the same pygmy puff he was looking at. Silence did wonders on whether or not a person was appealing! With silence Alec would be able to focus on the important thing, he'd have to fix his clothes later, and Alec would have to get more ink. Even while Alec's library study session was ruined he would have to make the trip and time wasted here worth it somehow.
He doubted making his time worth it had anything to do with pygmy puff being involved. Alec preferred to make his time worth it in a way that didn't revolve to a foreign student being overtly friendly while he had cleaned up that ink mess.
Reaching for one of the books he brought to the table, still strewn about from his studying Alec would open the book to a random page. Alec had already read the book many a time, it was not as if he needed to reread it again, or needed to care about which page he turned to. Reading for recreation, he wasn't the academic type when it came to recreational reading, but he didn't mind.
What Alec did mind was being confined to a chair, if he was going to waste his time here not studying he could only wonder what the point of being here was. Alec was reading, and again not for studying, meaning he was also not getting the ink out of his clothes.
Letting out a sigh Alec glanced from his book to pygmy puff. Closing the book Alec would set it down on the table. His lips pursed as he watched pygmy puff for a moment. “Tell me, pygmy puff. What are your aspirations?” Oh yes, Alec was going low. Was he underestimating pygmy puff? Only time would tell.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | Alec glanced over at him. Hiro smiled at him. Alec looked away again and the boy pursed his lips as he thought for a few seconds. Perhaps he could be of some use to him. But in what way that wouldn't make Alec feel annoyed by him? Hiro tracked his progress with his eyes as he regarded him silently, enjoying his company. Even if it was pretty quiet company at the moment. And then, Alec closed his book and looked over at him. This was the second time he'd done so and Hiro's curiosity was piqued by this. As Alec asked him what his aspirations were, Hiro raised a brow. Did he really want to know? Wait, was this a trick? The pink haired boy narrowed his eyes at him. Hiro looked around the table. Yes, that would do. Reaching out to grab some crumped up paper, obviously trash, Hiro grabbed Alec's quill off the table and wrote down something on the parchment. Once he was done, he pushed it over to him. - If you want me to talk, promise I won't lose the quiet game. I don't want you to walk away from me yet! It's fun to be with you. - Hiro gazed at Alec, waiting for the other boy to respond to his written words. Ah, an idea popped into his head and a smile came to his lips. That would definitely help Alec out a little. It might even make him soften up. - Stay here for a moment, I'll be right back. I'll track you down if you leave, so if you don't want me following you around all day, don't do it!- The boy warned with his written words and then got up to leave the library. He was back within a matter of minutes, he'd actually run to the campgrounds and back again without rest. Since he was in really good shape he wasn't too out of breath, but he was slightly out of breath as a result of not resting in the process. Hiro had come back with an enchanted satchel slung over his shoulder. Hopefully Alec was still where he'd left him. Or else, he'd have to make good on his earlier threat. What Alec wasn't aware of was that Hiro was very good at tracking down other people. Especially those who didn't want to be found. Ask Mathias. He'd have countless stories to tell about Hiro managing to somehow find him when he was in hiding. But what met his eyes was an empty table. Of course. Alec had yeeted out of there. Hiro shook his head, the boy didn't realize how good his tracking skill was. Even if he didn't want to be found, Hiro would be able to find him. Eventually. No one could hide from him forever. With that thought in mind, he resolved to track the boy down again. No matter what it took. And off he went again, in search of his latest target. A boy called Alec Mason. Of course, he didn't need to find him right off the bat. If he got distracted by someone else, that would be fine as well. But regardless, he wouldn't give up on his search for Alec, even if the other really wanted him to. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────
actions: Hiro leaves the thread in search of Alec! notes: Hiro continues to play the silent game, leaves to get his enchanted satchel and returns to Alec.
