"All right, off we go, then!" Gemima exclaimed. She gently took Akemi by the hand and began leading her through the courtyard's garden. She still felt on edge, but she was determined to push all her doubts and worries down, for the sake of the ball. This was going to be fun!

The courtyard was already awash with the petals and leaves of springtime blossoms. Gem wondered what sorts of flora they had at the crafting table. She'd done a bunch of research on flowers prior to the ball, so she was looking forward to picking those with the best meanings and symbolism. For instance, gardenias stood for purity, bluebells for humility, day lilies for healing, and so on, and so on. It seemed Castor had been rubbing off on her!

As they wove through the bustling crowd, Gem idly wondered where the others had gone off to. First, she had to find Kim, but wasn't Sophia with him as well? Right, they had done the Firewalking Game earlier. That must be done by now. Gem swallowed nervously. Well, the night was still young, and nothing bad had happened just yet!
Finally, she spotted a couple wearing matching flower crowns. Gemima quickened her pace.
"Here we are!" She happily lead Akemi in the direction of the crafting table.

As Burnett got in the last word, until the inevitable moment they would see each other again in their room, Willow also quietly left without saying any words at all. Even though it was likely that he deserved this cold shoulder, it still hurt his heart to once again see that he was causing her pain. Of course, Marion could see it too. She had not come to the ball that day with any agenda as far as he knew-- only to taunt him, as though she knew that within moments he would realize what she had done to him. As Flash followed Eun-ji's footsteps blindly, his other hand covered the eye uselessly. It was clear Marion already knew who Flash's friends were, but he needed to stop the flow of information as quickly as possible.

As they stopped, Flash recognized that she had intentionally taken him aside, something he was grateful for. How was it that Eun-ji always seemed to know what he needed? At that moment, he almost felt more suspicious than grateful, but his desperate need for a friend outweighed his paranoia. She touched his face with the gentleness of a butterfly's wings, a carefulness that Flash felt so deprived of that it alone made his eyes wet with the portent of shedding tears. His emotions were not in check, his entire life was potentially careening out of control.

"My eye..." Flash would begin, stopping to cover them both with the crook of his arm. It would help him remove some of the tears building there, as well as protect him from a sudden outburst in the midst of being completely overwhelmed. He would instead resort to focusing on breathing, but his breath would betray him by shaking.

"The healing tent... I'd like something to cover it." Despite his clear emotional distress, Flash managed to answer the question, though it was not really the question. He was not in any physical pain, his eye did not hurt. These were the half-truths that Flash excelled in, the almost-lies that almost-worked, if not for Marion. Before she could answer though, Flash's voice would drop to a weak whisper. "Thank you."

If she was still holding one of his hands, his grip would weaken as well. The gravity of the situation was not yet fully grasped, his face still held the phantom feeling of Burnett's fist upon it.

"Oh, this?" Sage crooked a finger at her flower crown. "I made it at the booth over there."

The girl nodded towards the crafting table's general direction. Sage couldn't help but feel pleased with her handiwork; it was always nice to have someone appreciate one's efforts!

"Hah, after what I'd witnessed today, I definitely wouldn't put it past him." Sage agreed.

This may very well be the first time she'd glimpsed at Kim's devious tendencies. He had seemed like a proper lad, but perhaps pretty faces hid more than meets the eye. Course she wasn't averse to good ol' leg-pulling but time, place, occasion was key.

"I'll be sure to spare his face, sure." Gem was surprisingly easy to talk to! Sage liked kind, sensible people; she needn't put up appearances with them at all.

Banter aside, a tickle of smoke reached Sage's nostrils. The effigy had begun to burn in earnest and with it, the paper-wishes the students had made, its draconic form crumpling into ashen bits. There was something satisfying about watching the flames devour everything in its path. Fire is eternal, all else is finite - but that's something Sage will go to bed thinking about.

A voice called out Gem's name.

At first, she had thought Soph and Kim had finally caught up to them. A lovely girl approached them asking for someone's whereabouts, and it would appear Gem was acquainted with her. It'll be difficult to find anyone in this chaos, honestly.

"Nice to meet you, Akemi." Sage gave Akemi a small, shy wave, and nodded to Gem. She didn't mind stopping by the crafting table again. "Thank you, it's quite easy once you get the hang of it."

Sage followed the duo to the crafting table.

Eun-ji was a bit lost now that they were alone. Some gestures seemed to come naturally to her yet the witch still wasn't sure whether they were the right thing to do. At times like these, she wished someone showed her how to comfort people. She dragged Flash away on pure instinct. She wanted to protect him, but she didn’t bother to ask if he wanted to be protected, or how. Although, it appeared drawing from her own experiences and needs paid off in the end. The boy tried to hide it but his distress was clear as day to her. They were so similar to each other it hurt. Eun-ji wanted to hug her friend when his arm covered his eyes and his breath shuddered. It felt like she should hold him in order to keep him from falling apart. She even took one step closer but ended up being too scared to actually go through with it.

His eye? Did Jack manage to hit it or was it something entirely else? Perhaps he just wanted to prevent any tears from coming out? All mere guesses that would go unanswered. She could tell the the boy didn’t want to elaborate any further and so she wouldn't ask. Not today at least. By now, Flash’s grip on her hand weakened and she squeezed it one more time before letting go. Pulling out a Heather out of her hair, she had stuck it through the threads of his thick sweater, right where his heart was. It was a second time Eun-ji had gifted him a flower. This time she was not so embarrassed about it. Heather symbolised good luck, admiration, and protection. Everything she wanted for the Slytherin and though he might not understand the meaning when he eventually saw it, she knew and that was enough for now.

“I see, would you like me to go with you?” The witch asked softly once he shared his plan with her. She hoped he would say yes but she would understand if the answer was no too. “Also…Don’t worry about Willow too much. The deeper the love, the deeper the wound so she must love you a lot. Wounds are a nasty thing but they can be healed as long as you take care of them in time. You two will be fine.” It didn’t matter how much you cared for someone. It was impossible to go through life without hurting them at some point. You just had to try your hardest to fix it afterwards. Eun-ji wasn’t sure what happened back there but she firmly believed her statement. “And you don’t have to thank me. I wish I could do more but I’m a clumsy person and have much to learn. Still, feel free to find me if you ever need anything.” She wasn’t talking about her physical ability of course. On the contrary, she was far from clumsy in that area but matters of the heart were always difficult to navigate for her. Having no teacher, Eun-ji had to figure that one all on her own and it was going slower than she would like. It was okay though..Nobody was perfect and she definitely wasn’t.

Pacifying words and an unsteady smile would greet their concerns as Marshal’s touch seemed to tear Evelynn from a trance of some form. Part of him wanted to believe her, to take her words at face value and move on with his night under the assumption that everything was, indeed, fine. Yet a different part of him knew that her demeanor was all wrong.
While her sudden attempt to cut off the circulation in his arm was unusual to say the least, it could possibly be explained away by a dizzy spell or something of the like, resulting in a blind grasp for anything to stabilize her. But it was her response to questioning that earned his suspicion. The Evelynn he knew would not have so simply admitted to such a spell, willingly relinquishing her infallible guard on any plausible sign of weakness, most especially in so public a setting. She would have been dismissive, gracefully brushing aside their worries as though it had all been but a construct of their respective imaginations.
That reaction would have been nothing more than dignified tact to save her constant composure, but this… this was altogether fake. A strategic admittance to a lesser flaw in order to draw their attention away from a larger gap in her defenses.
The subtle tremor of her hand as she relinquished his arm in favor of the protective embrace her other fingers offered only served to cement his misgivings.

”Eve…” he began, hooded irises drifting inquisitively across her features, in hopes of unveiling the truth behind their hardening surface. But the motion of Ivy’s head caught the edge of his vision, and as his gaze shifted to her past Evelynn’s red hair, she would see reluctance to abandon the subject in the furrowed nature of his brow. Even so, abandon it he did, convinced by the other girl that a pursuit of the matter would directly oppose Eve’s desires. Though her desires always seemed to involve keeping everything to herself, bottling emotion and anxiety in a place no one else could reach, and he was about finished allowing her to deal with everything on her own. One day, he would show her that she didn’t have to be alone, and how much lighter burdens could be when they were shared.
One day. But not today.

The girl’s hasty redirection of their focus was not lost on him, though he did turn toward the point where the announcer’s voice seemed to originate, quickly coming to understand that the actual individual must have been located in the Great Hall.
Ears perked, the boy listened closely, intrigued at the names that would be listed. Unfortunately, none of them sounded familiar in the slightest, save for Mathias Pride, who he knew to have been involved in some sort of romantic escapade with Winnie. A jolt of displeasure pricked his heart at the thought, but it was washed away in the veritable flood of exasperation pouring from Evelynn’s voice.

Glancing uneasily at Eve first, he then cast a silent plea toward Ivy for any explanation as to who Howard White might be. But alas, the girl appeared at an equal loss, her question met with a baffled shrug of Marshal’s shoulders.
Just at that moment, gasps of awe and mutters of curiosity heralded the formation of several sculptures, immortalizing the evident champions in the best a vineyard had to offer.
It was then he made the mistake of glancing toward Evelynn once more, quickly taken aback by the ice in her gaze. Eyes like a dark hailstorm, she fixed one particular sculpture with a stare that would likely petrify even the stoutest of hearts. Even catching her ire off-hand, Marshal felt the steely cold which seemed to emanate from her very soul and seep into his bones.
Scary.

That cold was symbolically offset by a blaze that engulfed one of the vegetated statues, the explosive light reflecting off of the girl’s eyes and guiding his own to the burning display. In spite of himself, the Gryffindor was unable to resist a slight grin at the sight. Of course he would never condone such an action, but he could undoubtedly enjoy it from afar. It seemed Eve wasn’t the only one to disapprove of the Goblet’s decisions.

That fire was promptly extinguished, though it set the stage in an odd way for what was to come. Following his companion’s prompting, he would turn his attention to the boy she’d indicated, the very same upon whom her gaze had been fixated during her recent episode. Eyelids narrowed, but no comment was made as he accompanied her toward the base of the giant effigy.
Moments later, the inert dragon was seemingly brought to life before their very eyes; not in the literal sense he might have hoped for, but the way the flames clawed hungrily across its surface, sparks trailing in their wake like an incandescent memory, it certainly appeared to have adopted a sentience all its own.
Face alight with a flickering glow, Marshal watched the magnificent show adoringly, only distracted when Eve spoke again.
Happy to have her attention on something other than whatever had unsettled her before, he replied enthusiastically, ”I mean, I was kind of expecting it to burn us all to a crisp and then fly off into the night in all its dragony glory, but this is cool too.” A cheerful grin was thrown her way, only to disappear when he noticed the way her eyes flickered subtly off to one side.
Oh, he thought, a small thorn of irritation stitching his mind. It seemed she wasn’t truly interested by what he had to say; rather, there was something else that intrigued her entirely more. Yet again he would follow where her eyes darted, noting a nearby disturbance, where violence had apparently found its way into yet another school event. Could they not have a simple dance without one or ten individuals attempting to end an adjacent existence? Sure, he’d been one of said individuals during the course of a previous ball, but that was beside the point completely.

His curiosity regarding the nearby group was swiftly interrupted by another voice, cutting into his thoughts. It was the fearful shake in her words that snapped his attention immediately to Ivy, who had turned away from the burning effigy. Though she soon turned back to them, inquiring about the altercation Evelynn seemed so intent on. Another attempt at misdirection to veil the true, underlying issue. Why could nobody simply be straightfoward about their problems around here, he wondered. Was there really such a need for one to impose an image of perfection for the sake of their peers?
Throwing one more glance in that direction, then to Eve, that pinprick of annoyance permeated his tone slightly as he responded, ”I haven’t the faintest clue. But let’s forget it and go get a drink or something. Don’t you think that’s a good idea, Eve?” The final question was thrown pointedly over one shoulder while he ushered Ivy toward the nearest refreshment table.
Action: Being suspicious of Eve's excuses, wishing that someone would simply be straightfoward with him for once, watching the effigy burn, ushering Ivy toward the nearest refreshment table.

banner made by the lovely Pea Elena Fowl <3 And yes the quote is 100% Hana's thoughts
Just a second ago, he would be thankful enough to see Fowl not moving from the last spot she was last seen. She was as impatient as she was pretty. Sadly, it seemed that he miscalculated just how impatiently pretty she was. Because next thing she knew, she had other company. And not just another company. But the worst company he ever had the displeasure of laying his eyes on. Enzo.

Hanako was so stunned seeing the two together he halted a good few feet away from them, watching them converse with an oddly blank look from the usually expressive boy. His chest felt like something clenched them and he was so put off by the sensation that he almost dropped the flower crown. No way this was jealousy he was feeling, right?

She had one job. Stand there and wait. Not charm someone - and Enzo out of all the people- and forget she was his date. The quick tendency to get jealous was something Hanako knew he had a problem with. But he didn’t know it could be this bad. He was sure the only feelings he had for either of those sickos - Enzo and Pea - was disdain. Perhaps even labels mattered greatly to him. No matter how fake he was being to Pea about his feelings, she was still his.

His date

His partner

His entertainment for when the night goes in flames

And no smirking french boy who was unusually obsessed with Hana’s dates was going to change that.

Pleased with his resolution, he sighed and began walking toward the pair with an irritated look (surprisingly genuine one as well). Unfortunately, he had no time to make his charming entrance known, because no sooner than after he started walking, Fowl placed her delicate hand on Enzo’s palm. He raised her hand nearer towards his lips and Hanako knew just what was coming next. [Slight Godmod allowed by Pea and Enzo]

At the time, Hanako could not understand what overwhelmed him. Anger? Panic? Whatever it was, it prompted him to do the only thing he could do at the moment.

So he threw Fowl’s flower crown.

He directed his aim towards Enzo’s ugly face, but it could have landed anywhere, honestly. Just as long as he stopped Fowl’s hand from being infected by the disgustingness of Enzo’s lips. She’ll thank him sooner or later.

Wherever it landed, Hanako had already speed-walked towards the pair doing his best to hide his hurry with the brightest grin he could muster. “ Aww ahahaa sorry for taking so long. I gave it my all to make it as pretty as I could. Buttttt I should’ve known you’d outshine any flower. Apologies for making you wait for nothing. Once I'll practice my skills, I'll present you with another one more worthy. Well then…” His grin remained although devoid of any enthusiasm. Hanako’s warm brown eyes turned towards Enzo with a chilliness to them.

Ohhhhhh my apologies, Delcroix. I thought for sure I saw a pesky fly around here. But it seems that it was just you~” He clearly wasn’t sorry, but that was for the others to interpret as much as they wanted. “You can keep that" he said indicating towards the flower crown. "Would be a nice touch of color to you, wouldn't you say? Oh, Fowl sorry, you don't mind do you?" he glanced towards his date, almost forgetting the flower crown was meant for her to wear, not to throw at pesky flies.

" I should thank you for entertaining my date while I was gone. Were you two just getting …acquainted?” he glanced between the two with a questioning look with a particular small glare towards the boy he threw a flower crown at earlier.

Jealousy wasn’t a good look on a love-sick puppy, wouldn’t it? It was an ugly emotion. While Hanako fought off an urge to take Pea miles away from this french slug, he would have to refrain himself until he could gouge out Pea’s reactions. Would she be put off by it, or flattered? Depending on her next actions, he could determine just how jealous he was allowed to show.

This is ridiculous. Why was Enzo still following Hana around and messing with his dates? Just how much did he share with Pea while he was gone. The uncertainty of it made his stomach churn. What if Enzo told her of their first meeting? Flirty banters and all? What about Hana’s previous date, Mason? Enzo was sly enough to twist stories in his favor. He seemed devilish enough to do it according to Hana. He couldn’t even begin to wonder why Enzo was so keen in ruining his dates. Was he just salty that he wasn’t enough charming to get his own date? From the looks of it, it seemed that the French boy was alone. Not even with a friend.

Oh well boo hoo gosh I wonder why no one wants to hand around him’ Hanako thought, biting down on releasing a taunt about it. Patience patience patience. At least until Pea goes to the bathroom or something.

Though he was waiting for Pea to show her thoughts on his minor(?) jealousy, he wasn’t very good at hiding it. Perhaps it was because it was Enzo specifically. One he had a memorable relationship with if you could call it that.

As Flash was distracted by his own turmoil, Eun-ji would squeeze his hand briefly, before knitting a flower into his cardigan. He did not know the language of flowers, nor the significance of the act, but it would draw him out of his spiral. Ground him. It was bright and pink, with a subtle earthy aroma. Flash used to travel the Hogwarts grounds looking for wildflowers for his dorm, and in that moment he could remember something pleasant, something good in his life.

She would ask him a question, and he would be slow to respond, a further talk about Willow following. Eun-ji likely meant well in saying that Willow loved him, but it only reminded him of how much pain she must have been in. Perhaps it was right for him to be reminded, this was not something he could run away from, and he did not intend to just let their close friendship die because of this. Even if he was not long for this world, he could not endure any moment of it completely alone. He needed people, he needed to be loved, otherwise what was there worth living for.

"Please go with me." Flash would say, feeling the need for companionship despite whatever he may have been selfishly pulling her away from. Unlike him she was likely enjoying herself with some company. "I can't say I like asking for help... but I can't think of anyone I'd rather have come to my rescue."

His words were almost like his normal self, a callback to her words that seemed to diminish her own ability even though she was his hero in that moment. If she was clumsy, he would gladly accept clumsy help. What mattered was that she cared for him, not what words she used. With that, he would keep his eyes beneath his sleeve and hold onto her arm closely, signaling that he was going so far as to ask her to guide him blindly.

"I hope you're right... about Willow." Flash would add. As tired as he was, he wanted to connect, wanted to feel like he wasn't falling off the face of the planet. "In Divination, you read about a secret being revealed. I didn't think it was going to be this one. How horrible is it that I have to keep so many?"

Normally he would not talk so candidly, but these circumstances were extenuating.

The gift of the flower was a spontaneous gesture but it seemed to be the right thing to do. Perhaps it was the lovely scent that helped to soothe down the boy's nerves. Eun-ji couldn't be sure but whatever it was, she was grateful for it. The topic of Willow on the other hand...well she knew it would be a sensitive subject right now but at the same time, she just wanted to help. Relationships were tricky. There was often no way back once you let an issue fester without addressing it. She didn't want that for Flash. She didn't want that at all.

“Please go with me.” The Ravenclaw blinked in surprise. Truthfully, it was precisely what she hoped for yet she didn't expect him to actually say it. They were very similar in many ways and Eun-ji knew for a fact that she would be too scared to do the same had the situation been reversed. She admired his courage and she was stupidly proud to be the one he asked. “I...thank you.” She said with a soft smile before realising he probably couldn't keep up with her strange thought process. Not seeing her definitely wasn't helping the matters either. “For trusting me I mean.” She clarified. “I'd be happy to help. I know how hard it is to ask for it so there is no need to explain. I will be around if you need me and who knows...one day I might be the one come to you for help.” Those were not empty words. The fact that he allowed himself to be vulnerable in front of her meant a great deal to the witch. It felt like she could do the same now. Well, perhaps not today but someday for sure.

Flash holding onto her arm should have felt awkward but Eun-ji soon realised that wasn't the case. She had met some blind patients at her father’s workplace and had been in the very same position then. She knew what to do now and this was her friend whom she loved dearly. She would make sure he'd reach the Healing tent safely. The witch remembered one of the patients telling her how scary it was when their world suddenly plunged into darkness. The simple tasks like pouring themselves a cup of tea became an unimaginable challenge overnight. Flash of course was not blind but that didn't mean the situation wasn't scary for him. He had to trust her to navigate him through the terrain and eventually crowds of people in the Great Hall but Eun-ji was fairly sure she would do a good job. She just had to pay extra attention to her surroundings.

“For sure. It's going to be fine just...talk to her, okay? I don't really know her but from what I've seen so far, she seems like a good person. Apologise and explain as much as you can. When you get to the stuff you can't explain, just tell her and ask for more time. I'm sure she'll understand. The worst you can do is ignore it and hope it goes away.” Eun-ji knew as much from her personal experience. She could already tell her own relationship with her mother slowly started deteriorating but that one was very complicated. Eleanor would actually have to be there for the two of them to talk things through... “In Divination, you read about a secret being revealed. I didn't think it was going to be this one. How horrible is it that I have to keep so many?”

The witch listened to her friend’s words attentively. He was opening up to her and she didn’t want to miss anything. She was leading him carefully, occasionally using words to describe a difficult obstacle in their way but she still made sure to keep up with his words. The Ravenclaw was quite good at multitasking. “Yeah…they have an annoying tendency to pile up don’t they?” She understood and her heart ached for the boy next to her. Eun-ji also wished to ease his burden but he would have to let her, which wouldn’t be easy to do. “It may be hard to believe now but perhaps it’s a good thing one of them got revealed tonight? There is only so much one can keep bottled up. You’ll just get sick.” At least that’s what her grandma used to tell her. Ironically, she was one of those people that always kept things to themselves though. “The way it happened wasn’t ideal of course but still…in the long run it might ease the burden a little.” Eun-ji didn’t know the details so she could have been wrong but she sure hoped she wasn’t. “And if you ever need to talk, let me know. I promise I won’t pry if you don’t want me to.”

It was definitely much more enjoyable conversing with someone on the same level as her. Not that she’s saying Hana is not up to that standard.

..He is rich, ..possibly not horrible looking, attractive even if she has to admit, -if he’s just several inches taller then she’s sure wouldn’t have doubts going to the ball with him. It’s just- HE IS SO ANNOYING. The way he speaks, the way he was mocking her with his smile, the way he is definitely plotting something in that big head of his. SO DAMN ANNOYING. While Enzo here- didn’t seem to have those qualities in him. *That she knows of just yet.*

And right after she was finished comparing Enzo and Hana in her mind, Enzo reaches her hand, suddenly she feels her heart thump just for a mere second. It looks like he is about to kiss her hand. A small blush suddenly presents on her cheeks. But at the same moment, the boy midget actually came back. She saw him in the same blue suit with flower embroidery that she picked for him in the corners of her eyes, and lazily turn her head towards its direction while her hand is still with Enzo's.

“Oh finally, look what the cat dragged in.” She said with a sly smile and a lazy tone. Hana approaches them- his face did not look thrilled at all at seeing Enzo being so close to her. This time Pea genuinely believes it was a fit of real anger that Hana is showing. Pea continues to smile as her plan is actually working. Oh, apparently it was very easy to stroke his ego after all.

But just as she notices something in his hand- of what looks like a.. a flower crown? He put up his hand and throw the flowery wooden tiara in their direction- more so towards Enzo. It was really fast that she stumbled backward almost falling on the hard dirty paved stone below her.

“WHAT THE HELL HANA!?” She was utterly appalled by his reaction. Apparently, she didn’t know Hana would react as dramatically as that. And for a slight second, there was a little bit of panic on her face.

“ Aww ahahaa sorry for taking so long. I gave it my all to make it as pretty as I could. Buttttt I should’ve known you’d outshine any flower. Apologies for making you wait for nothing. Once I'll practice my skills, I'll present you with another one more worthy. Well then…”

As she steadies herself, she looks at Hana as he is talking to Enzo. His voice definitely did not sound friendly and that stare- looks like he is about to punch Enzo square in the face. As long as they didn't start dueling each other or throwing punches, she would be fine- this is her plan after all. And she is very happy seeing Hana react like this.

"Really- A fly? You know you could've hurt Enzo." She says with a furrowed eyebrow, looking worried at Enzo. Of course- this is another act of hers, just to add a little fuel to Hana's anger.

But as she looked at Enzo- she notices the flower crown that was thrown at them. It was a little broken but still somewhat intact. It is actually quite beautiful- wonder how that midget learn to make something like that and to think that he actually made it for her is actually.. quite sweet. So there was a little disappointment on her face when he ended up giving it to Enzo, although it was very brief, she wonders if Hana catch that.

She then cleared her throat as she looks back at Hana with her piercing blue eyes. "Oh, are you jealous Hana?" She chuckles, "We are just getting acquainted, he also mentioned a little of.. you two's past encounters. I heard that he beat you in a duel once?" With another snarky tone in her remark.

Watching @Eun-ji Lee Hunt insert herself into the confrontation seemed to startle her cousin into Korean. That, or he was saying something he didn't want Lucia to hear. The Hufflepuff doubted that, though: Ye-jun seemed more the kind of person to keep thoughts to himself rather than say them out loud if he didn't want people to hear them. Despite having no idea what he was saying, Lucia let it slide - after all, there were more important things to focus on right now... like making sure Eun-ji got out of whatever was going on without getting hurt.

Unlike Lucia, Ye-jun didn't pull out his wand. Maybe he thought diplomacy was the best choice here, or maybe he was planning on using his fists if dramatic action was needed. From his tone of voice, it was probably the first option. Lucia herself preferred not to jump to aggressive action, but if she needed to defend herself or her friends, she had no problem in using her magic to do so. (She did have a problem with using her fists, though. With just a tiny amount of physical strength and no idea how to properly throw a punch, Lucia doubted she'd be helpful in a fistfight.)

As it happened, neither magic nor fists were needed as Eun-ji pulled her friend [@Flash Holmwood]out of there. Unexpectedly, he wished @Willow Anderson a happy birthday before allowing himself to be taken away, and Lucia blinked, completely missing Willow's flinch at the phrase. It was Willow's birthday? How did she not know this? She should have gotten her co-captain a card! Since she hadn't, the best she could do was give her own, "Happy birthday!" to Willow. Lucia then followed her friends, eyes warily flitting around the other ballgoers as if one of them might be next to employ violence against the boy. What was his name? Lucia didn't know, but he was a friend of Eun-ji's, and obviously a close one, so Lucia would follow her Ravenclaw friend's lead.

Surprisingly, Ye-jun suggested to Lucia that they should leave Eun-ji and the boy alone. "You think so?" Lucia asked quietly, confused at the proposition. Surely the best thing to do would be to stay here and make sure the boy was okay? Sure, Eun-ji seemed to have a handle on that already, but you could never have too much help, right? "You know her better, I guess..." Although Lucia spent more time with Eun-ji on a daily basis, since they went to the same school, Ye-jun was family. They'd known each other before Lucia came into the picture, so she supposed it would be best to follow Ye-jun's advice. "I wonder who he is, and what that was about." Maybe she'd have a chance to ask Eun-ji later on in the evening. For now, the two of them had lost sight of the girl in the crowd.

Suddenly at a loss for what to do, Lucia slowly slid her wand back into her bun, then turned to show it to Ye-jun. "Did I mess my hair up or is it okay?" It would be annoying of she'd pulled some of her hair out of its bobble when she'd roughly pulled her wand out of the bun.

"Want to dance?" Lucia asked her friend, gesturing to the area where he and his cousin had danced only a few minutes before. If he agreed, she'd let him lead the type of dance and stay mostly silent, focusing on the music, unless he began a conversation.

When Lucia noticed Eun-ji leaving with the boy, she pointed the pair out. "Should we follow them? Maybe they're going to the Healing Tent." Surely Eun-ji wouldn't leave without letting them know, would she?
