I'm Not A Writer PV Mae Practice Finished

Serena grinned as the Ravenclaw spoke to her. "That's good," She replied as the girl explained that she enjoyed Astronomy. It was never a subject that Serena really got. She was just stargazing, which was pretty but she had not quite understood the point of learning it. "I'm not sure how I feel about that one, to be honest." She replied. Then again, perhaps it was because she preferred more practical subjects. Whilst the Hufflepuff chose to avoid studying wherever possible - she was not a Ravenclaw, after all - she did enjoy a few subjects. Her favourite was always Flying, mostly because she loved feeling the wind in her face and the thrill of the sport. Quidditch was definitely exciting. She also preferred subjects like Potions, where she could see the actual results of her efforts. Astronomy was more about knowledge and theory, over practical skills. Yes, there were times that that knowledge translated into practical information and helped to guide things but she did not know enough about it to be able to do that. Right now, it was something that she did for the sake of doing it. 

It did not really help her right now. The Ravenclaw mentioned something about Divination, which was a subject that Serena did not really pay much attention to. It was interesting as it gave you an unique skill. However, she was not sure she would be very good at it. Nor did she really believe in it. She did not know that much about it, however. Perhaps by third year, she would change her mind. For now, she just thought of it was something to do with reading cards and drinking tea. These were both things that the Hufflepuff did not plan to do. She could be wrong though. Perhaps when the time came, Divination would fascinate her. In fact, she barely knew what she was going to do in five minutes, let alone years in the future. Perhaps that was why she ought to do it...

Suddenly snapping her fingers, Serena recalled she had a Prefect meeting to get to, "Ahh, I'm so sorry, I'm late! I have to go!" She announced to Mae, "I'm going to be late for something if I don't leave soon, thank you for your help though," She explained as she quickly began to pack away her things. The Hufflepuff shoved everything into her bag before looking at the Ravenclaw, "It was nice to meet you, Mae. Hope you manage to get along with Professor Yornikovych," she continued with a smile on her face as she picked up her bag, throwing it over her shoulder and waving a goodbye to the girl, "See you around!" She replied as she quickly left the room with her belongings, making her way back up to the upper floors before she was late.

"That's good". Serena replied to what Mae had said about Astronomy. Serena then said "I'm not sure how I feel about that one, to be honest.". Mae seemed to think that Serena was one of the many people that would get into it, after all it was looking at stars, but Mae enjoyed it. Suddenly Serena snapped her fingers "Ahh, I'm so sorry, I'm late! I have to go!". The girl seemed to say in a bit of a rush which was then continued with "I'm going to be late for something if I don't leave soon, thank you for your help though,". Mae smiled as the girl started picking up her things from the table. Mae was proud that she could help someone with something that they found important. "It was nice to meet you, Mae. Hope you manage to get along with Professor Yornikovych," she said as she slung her bag around her back and turned around to wave at Mae "See you around!". The girl said as she rushed out of the room "See you around soon," Mae said to herself although the girl was long gone. Mae started to pickup the books as she left the room with a bit of a smile to head to her dorm.
