Heads up all, just a reminder:I browsed through the roster and removed anyone who hasn't posted since May, as well as any obsolete profiles. Our roster is pruned and up to date. If you were removed but would like to rejoin at any point, no need to re-apply, just owl me! I've been going through a tedious move this month, but I'd like to start working on the next League get-together, and should have something started after my home / duelling / the Fall Ball has settled down some.No amount of activity will be required of League members (though your character may be removed if your account has been inactive for 6+ months)

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
A great cat of some sort, most preferably a panther.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Youssuf has seen a black panther in the wild, in the forests of Karnataka. He was so enamoured with its jet black appearance, its complete invisibility at night and its grace that he almost leapt from the Jeep they went to see it in. He has since realized that he can actually become a black panther and believe me, he is thrilled.
What do you hope to get from this group?
Adventure! The ability to become a panther! Friends! Company! A group of New Marauders! I could go on and on.

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
A crow or a raven is ideal. Who hasn't had the wish to fly without the use of a broom?
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
It's part of his namesake and family coat of arms. I had sort of hoped to become one sooner, but this club could be good practice and preparation until the time comes. I've read the ingredients list and even plan on Cain practicing once he joins this club and learns of what one has to do to be an animagus by holding a mint leaf in his mouth on a regular basis. Seems like the hardest part of the spell, though I bet a mint leaf tastes better. Another good preparation might perhaps be feeding some crows,ravens, or black birds outside to befriend them and get to know the animals better.
It would also be great to fly for a quick escape and great for spying from a tree branch. Not that he would spy on people of course, but the option would be there.
What do you hope to get from this group?

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Mammal- Likely something like a Raccoon or a Fox.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
Opeila has had most unstable life circumstances outside of Hogwarts, with the death of her mother and grandmother, the forced moving in with another family in a different country (Finland), switching to another family and then finding out that not only all this change happened due to a misunderstanding, but also that her new guardians will not let her go to find her father, supposedly for her own good. For months Opeila has felt trapped in her situation and she will take a liking to the idea of becoming an animagus and get some kind of freedom through this.
What do you hope to get from this group?
Symbolism for character development. Obviously Opeila can't become an animagus as she is already a seer, but I will integrate that into her development as a decision she makes later, as she becomes older and more accepting of herself. Instead of escaping, she'll choose to face her situation and not to become an animagus, for her own sake.

What type of animal does your character hope to become?
Avian/Uncertain. Perhaps a bat or something similar.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus?
To Evelynn, flying is a thrill and a convenience, one that could be practically useful for faster travel and inconspicuous observation. (In reality, she doesn't get to choose her form and will be landed with something very different)
Instead, her form will actually end up as that of the North American Cougar. Solitary, dignified and fiercely protective, Evelynn (who had initially felt mismatched with House Gryffindor) displays many feline characteristics. Fearless and determined, she exhibits warrior like traits even if she herself would deny it. Rather than the cougar, it's the Wampus
to which she finds a curious affinity, something (that will be when her wandmaker application next month is approved) demonstrated by the core of her wand. She is Gryffindor through and through, and the silent physical strength that will be afforded her by that form will cover one her current weaknesses.
Of course, she knows that she is not guaranteed any particular type of outcome, but wishes to pursue becoming an animagus anyway. Part of it may be ego. As exceptionally difficult as the process is, it would simply be another form of magic to master. Additionally, however, given her fixation on the unusual happenings around the school and her desire to protect and defend against whatever might assail the students, she's eager for any advantage she can get dig her claws into. If that comes in the form of an animal that won't necessarily be turned if she gets bit by a werewolf or dhampir, then she'll take that layer of protection. Not to mention the use of relative anonymity in future or the assistance for reconnaissance she might gain as an animal. It could prove to be useful.

Does your character hope to have animal friends? Do they need help researching their animal? Are there specific types of events you would like to play in this group (please feel free to add any suggestions or requests here)? Just curious for now?
ICly, I don't think Eve is seeking friends so much as coming to the realization that the process might be a bit more complex than she is willing to attempt alone if she is to get it right on the first attempt. Curiosity is another motive. As for specific events.. it might be neat to RP out specific steps of the animagus process, or spend time exposed to real animals as a sort of way to gain familiarity and prepare oneself for knowing what would come with turning into different kinds of animals? Would have to think on ideas.

What type of animal does your character hope to become? Charlie hasn't decided which Animagus she would like to be, and it's possible she won't know for a few years.
Why that animal?/Why do they want to become an Animagus? She would like to become an Animagus for a multitude of reasons. Her friend Colin is a werewolf, and she would like to be by his side while he is transforming without being harmed. She also would think it would be a different perspective she'd love to look through.
What do you hope to get from this group? More information and education on learning how to become and Animagus!
