Drust shrugged, "I dunno.. I don't really know what house elves eat? What if they like the cold stale stuff?" It didn't seem entirely out of the realm of possibilities in the magical world. Things had their quirks, but as far as house elves, Drust knew them to be quite curious creatures. For better or for worse, he would rather just let them sort out the cold stale food, instead of him having to eat it. That seemed entirely unsuitable when there was perfectly good warm food in front of him that he could replace it all with. Why look a gift horse in the mouth anyway? They were privileged enough to have that warm food, might as well take advantage of it. It was not as if he were a starving orphan...

A moment of silence would pass between them it seemed, but then Dru would look over as she fiddled idly with her bracelet and yawned. Contagious as yawns were he put a hand over his mouth to yawn as well. "Don't start that," He grumbled shaking his head with a sigh. He stretched and let out a little moan as he did so popping his back as he did. That felt good.

"I'm already tired as it is."

Cassie just looked at him and shook her head. "Well, I can't help it. I'm also tired. So you are just going to have to deal with my yawns." Cassie smiled and swept her hair to the side out of her face.

Her right hand had ink stains from her drawings and her drawing book was sitting on the table in between her and Drust. It was an interesting book. It was black leather with a silver wolf in the front. The wolves eyes were sapphire and its teeth were diamond. Maybe the jewels were real or maybe they were fake.

Cassie stifled a yawn. He wasn't the only one who was tired. She just wanted to go back to her dorm and sleep. "If I try to take a nap at this table, will you wake me up or let me sleep?" She asked seriously. She wasn't going to actually sleep, but she would if she could. She just wanted to know if he would wake her up or let her sleep. Cassie yawned again. Then she looked at Drust. "Sorry I couldn't help it." She half apologized. She didn't even try to not yawn she just let it happen.

Drust noticed the ink on her hands briefly, but didn't think much of it. It wasn't particularly uncommon to find students doodling on their arms or hands from boredom. It wasn't even that uncommon to find ink students hands and arms from accidental smearing whilst writing. After all, ink had a tendency to take forever to actually dry off. Which made things all the more difficult, at least as far as notes went. Drust had to very carefully often times, take care that he did not smear his notes. Drying them was the biggest issue, and for their essays he was always concerned that he would somehow end up smearing everywhere if he didn't write way in advanced and leave it strung up over his four poster bed to make sure that it actually dried more effectively.

When the girl asked if she could take a nap and if he would wake her up, Drust shrugged. "Sure, I suppose. I don't see the issue." He responded, he didn't see the issue in waking her up. Although, he had to admit it was a bit backwards for him to do so considering the fact that she had made him wake up when he was taking a little bit of a catnap at the table.

Not wanting to be vengeful, he decided to forgive and forget for the moment. Surely her actions would come to bite her later. Plus, she had apologized. Which was good enough for Dru who was quite simple minded in these regards.

As he reached for more food he noticed the notebook with the wolf. Interesting design, although very girly. He couldn't imagine having a notebook with diamonds and jewels laid into it. It seemed far too eccentric, even for Drust who had a tendency to be quite eccentric in certain situations.
