Spring Races Broom Race Hufflepuff v Slytherin

Gemini yelled out in frustration. She did not expect to fall of the brrom and now she was wet more. She didn't want to disapoint her team and she thought she was at this point. She quickly looked around to seei f any of her team as around her and was more happy to see she did not see anyone.

She couldn't loose her confidence. She could not. It was ridiculous. Everything bad had to happen to her

First she missed a curse, then she had to catch up, she made a fool of herself, and it hurt. She now missed a rock she was aiming. Nice.

It seemed like a miracle that she had reached this far.

Jack couldn't help but grin because Grey was off his broom. The kid deserved a loss, and Jack felt the moral high ground to gloat. But the most important thing was to keep moving forward. He had to win this race, or his ego may never recover. It was go time.

Like the last round, a lot of the action is centered around that particularly difficult waterfall. At the back of the crowd, the badgers make a big play to get ahead. Claire alley-oops Jack, sending him careening to the snake-heavy front of the pack. Serena, on the other hand, is able to slip through the now-infamous waterfall with ease thanks to her umbrella charm. Simon returns to his broom. And Avery takes aim at one of the youngest Slytherin players. A large stick strikes true: Vale will be feeling that tomorrow.

Scarlet, Percival, and Wyatt battle through the thorns and trees. They are mostly able to fly safely through the obstacles, though Wyatt does get clocked by two branches. Scarlet takes the lead. Jack, still careening, manages to miss the sharpest thorns and most oddly placed trees, but before he can overtake the Slytherin, he slams face-first into one of the widest trucks ala George of the Jungle, but he's surprisingly able to stay on his broom.

Keeping the umbrella above her head as she moved through the air, Serena navigated her way through the waterfall. She inhaled sharply as she approached it, wondering if she would fall like many others before her. But it was alright. She managed to get herself through the waterfall, likely due to the umbrella that was sitting above her head.

Serena exhaled with relief as she flew through it, without completely falling off. She passed by some of her teammates. This was stressful and definitely about to get more intense as the finish line drew closer. Now it was a matter of an all or nothing. Her hands gripped the broom tighter, as her eyes scanned the area trying to figure out where everyone was and what the best move here. She had to figure out what she was supposed to, what would be best.

Wyatt kept going. He felt varying degrees of pain across his whole body, but this was the game he decided to play, no? To give up now would be a waste. He smelled smoke, turned his head around for a single moment, and there it was stronger. At least it didn't seem to be ahead of him, and if it was coming from behind, he had an idea of who started it. Wyatt carried on with a smirk.

Percival gets back onto his broom and zooms as fast as he could towards the obstacle up ahead with Wyatt in tow. When the dangerous bushes came Gray weaved and dodged his way through the sharp bushes that were made to cause harm, appearing at the opposite end without a scratch on his body. He gritted his teeth and glared ahead, knowing he had to keep up that precision if he wanted Slytherin to beat the Huffs.

----Ok, so Vale prehaps was getting too carried away in her excitement. Her excitement that led her to totally not set the trees on fire in the midst of it. But still, the girl was laughing away. Her mind was ready to go to other places after bleeding and getting smacked around maybe too much. Vale was feeling great despite the circumstances. The possibility of death around the corner. Watching others fall to their potential demise. It was a dream come true for her.

This race wasn’t over. Maybe he had been knocked off his broom previously in the race but he got back in. Maybe the badgers were falling behind but this broom race was not over.

Simon quickly surveyed his surroundings, taking note of where some of his fellow badgers were. He gripped his broom tighter and set his sights forward and continued on
