Sports Bring Us Together PV Clair Fernandez Closed

Clair had spent a lot of time inside that day, too much time inside. So it had only made sense to go outside, with her satchel by her side Clair set outside, today she had filled it up with lots of things, mostly books.

As she walked along the grounds she noticed a girl with a ball, at first the Ravenclaw stayed back and watched, trying to decide if she should ask if she could join, because it would be lots of fun, or if she should just stay away. She stood there and tried to decide, for some reason it was extra hard today, her hand slid up to the locket that hung around her neck, the voice inside had brought her a few seconds of calm a lot lately, hearing her father's voice was so helpful when her mind was in a rush. But this time she did not open it, she just held it.

Finally deciding that the worst the girl could do was say no, Clair walked up.
"Hey! I see your playing Football? Do you like to play sports much, or is it more of a time filler?" For Clair when she had lived the simple life of a Muggle horse riding had been her big sport, now Broom Racing was her sport, and she did not plan on leaving it any time soon!
"My name is Clair, Clair Fernandez, First year Ravenclaw and Broom Racer" she interduced herself with a broad smile.

"Hey! I see you're playing Football? Do you like to play sports much, or is it more of a time filler?"

Enya paused, dropping the ball down to the ground and pressing her foot against it. She chuckled airily, before nodding to the girl's question.
"I really like playing sports, I used to be on a whole bunch of teams. That was when I went to primary school," she hummed. "I liked football, rugby, and baseball."
She paused for a moment, faintly reminiscing about the days she used to spend playing outside. She was always the star of her team, no matter the sport. Her teachers would always criticize her for not being good at school, but on the field, she was the boss.
"Did you like sports, too?" she asked. This girl- Clair- had a little bit of knowledge on soccer, so maybe she enjoyed the sport as much as Enya did? Maybe not as much as Enya did, since nobody could ever like sports more than her! No matter how many times her father or her dad would suggest, Enya liked sports more than everyone else in the world! No! In the universe!
Okay, maybe not in the universe, but she could definitely tell she liked sports a whole lot!
"Oh, right," she blushed for a second- she had completely forgotten to tell the girl her name! "I'm Enya Mae, first year Gryffindor." She desperately tried to ignore how awkward that was, how could she seriously forget to introduce herself?

"That's cool! Teams are always great to be on." Clair had been on a team at her muggle school, that is before she had ben pulled out due to her random spurts of magic, which had made everyone think she was crazy. "They really help you to get better at the things you love."

Did? Well she still liked sports. "I do like sports yes, Jumping and football are my favourite out of muggle sports." Jumping had been something she loved, before she had known she was a witch it had been her dream to become a professional Jumper. "And I'm rather bias about magic sports, Broom Racing is the best so far, I've yet to try the others." Clair doubted she would try the other wizarding sports, why leave the sport you love, and the place on your team, when you might nit get a place on the other teams?

Clair smiled, "Nice to meet you Miss Enya." She dropped her gaze to the grass, not exactly sure what to do, she had asked if she could join, maybe the girl wanted to say no? Or maybe she had not really thought on it, no matter.
"Rugby is a fun sport too." She commented softly, mostly to herself.

"Yeah, I agree," Enya nodded. She thought fondly back on the days when she was still on her track team, she was closer to her teammates than anyone. "I used to be on the track team for my school, it wasn't anything major 'cause we were still in primary."
Football was this girl's favorite sport? Enya liked her already. It was hard to find another girl who was interested in something like football. From both her neighborhood, and her school, her teammates and friends had been mostly boys into sports.
It wasn't like sports was the only thing she was into, of course. She really liked theatre, but even then, it was still hard to find other people into that as well. Elliott was probably the only one she knew into theatre as much as Enya was.
"Yeah, football is really good," Enya started. "I love watching the tournaments. It's probably my dream to play in the big leagues."
Magical sports weren't something Enya was really even aware of. Even being at Hogwarts, she had still yet to care about quidditch or broom racing. A few of her classmates really liked it, though. While she didn't understand the hype around it, she would probably enjoy trying it out, anyway.
"Hey Clair, do you wanna kick the ball around with me?" Enya asked, kicking the ball towards the other girl. "Nothing serious, though! I haven't warmed up!"

"Major things can happen in Primary." She grinned, lots of things had happened then. "It forms us into the people we are, pretty sure that's Major." Maybe that was nit what the other girl had meant, but Clair had taken it that way.

She nodded, "Yeah, at home I love to watch the matches, my family used to crowd around the Telly and watch it." She sighed, they had done that, in the summer when her sisters, Father and mum had been home, but now both her parents were gone, and her sisters were busy, in some ways her family was falling away from each other, the pillars that had held the family together (her parents) had fallen, and then slowly, the sisters had brown up, Izzy finding a life with a friend in the city, Belle getting married soon, and Clair still finding her feet, while she was supported by staying at Hogwarts.
Shaking the thoughts away before they threatened to take over all her feelings, Clair nodded
"Sure!" She walked over, "Neither have I so we can warm up together!" She had not played football since she had joined Hogwarts, which now seemed like years upon years ago.

"Haha, yeah!" Enya nodded. "Primary school taught me that I was not very bright." She was almost instantly reminded of her teachers trying to teach her any subject, and Enya not even coming close to grasping the subject.
She hummed absentmindedly as her and Clair passed the ball. It was a tune she had remembered from an old commercial she once listened to a few years ago. Though it was catchy, Enya wouldn't've been able to remember where it was from, or what company was trying to sell something. Oh well. Too bad on them.
Enya almost immediately noticed the slightly solemn look on Clair's face and contemplated asking the girl about it. She didn't want to make Clair talk about it if she didn't want to, so Enya decided to do something else.
"Were you ever a smart kid in school?" she asked Clair, pausing their passes for a moment. An icebreaker! Clair seemed like a smart person, and Enya faintly wondered if she was as smart as she seemed. Though, to be fair, what Enya would consider "smart" was probably the bare minimum for just about anyone else.
"I was never super smart in school, my classmates and teachers always made fun of me for it," she quirked her head to the side and smiled. "Until I scored the final shot and would win us every game!"

"there is no such thing as stupid, I mean, Some people find learning harder." She sighed thinking of her friend from when she had been little, Fern, she had had loads of troubles learning. "I think schools pressure Children into feeling stupid, or worthless. I think it as the fault of them, and only them. I'm sure your very smart." She smiled, "And sorry for rambling on, I just hate it when people feel like their stupid."
As the girls passed the ball back and forth Clair enjoyed the feeling of being outside and active.

She thought for a moment, trying to think, she liked to think she was smart, rarely ever getting any marks below 98%, but was that smart? Or just the fact that she had been able to understand the lessons.
"I'm not really sure, I did fine, never failed. But...." She let her voice die out, if this girl had had trouble with school then it would not be fair to talk about her own time at school, which had been rather easy.

"Thats really amazing! It's so much fun to win a game, it feels even better to win after you have lost." She smiled, thinking of the last race she had been in, which they had won.
It had been so amazing, mostly because it had been Ravenclaws' first win.
