Things were not looking good for the Ravenclaw team. As the strong wind was still blowing against them, their reflexes and movements were definitely suffering from that. Wanting to exploit the advantage, Dmitri once again demonstrated, like in the previous round, just how good of a duellist he was, and his Knockback Jinx split to target both Cade and Samantha. Unluckily for them, there was nothing they could do in order to avoid the powerful hit of the jinx, as the wind showed no signs of stopping yet.

Opeila had set her eyes on Cade as well, and she raised her want to cast her own Flipendo towards the boy; perhaps she was too determined, or maybe Dmitri's skills had made her feel somehow self conscious about her own skills, because something went horribly wrong with her spell, and the Knockback Jinx backfired, hurting her instead of Cade. But that wasn't the only Flipendo that the girl would receive in this round: Cade had set his eyes on her and aimed his wand in her direction, but there was nothing that Opeila could do, and the jinx hit her on her shoulder.

Samantha had tried to cast the tongue-tying spell at Dmitri, but the boy was way too fast, and the spell ended up hitting the wall behind him.

Starting with the first Flipendo that hit the young Slytherin, things began to go wrong for her really quickly now. Not that she got overly frustrated, no, but as she raised her wand, already casting the spell, another Flipendo hit her, causing her to mess up the wand movement she actually knew so well.
A split second before it happened, Opeila knew it would. The spell came out of the wrong end of the wand, hit herself and made her stumble a few meters back and it was then that she first realized that she was seriously weakened since the beginning of the duel. This was ridiculous. She was better than this! Dmitri and her, a fifth year and a third year against two second years should not be a problem, and she would not be knocked out. Oh no, she would not allow them to take her with them.

Action: Doing as strategized.

Her spellcasting didn't seem to improve like the young girl hoped it would. Last round she had tried to get Dmitri's tongue twisted so he wouldn't be able to talk or cast any spells anymore but had missed, maybe this time she would have more luck? Sadly, her aim wasn't the best and Dmitri could easily dodge her incoming spell. To make things even worse, all the other spells did hit, even though not all the intended target.

The force of the knockback jinx, which originated from Dmitri's wand, was impossible to avoid with the stupid wind still howling. After taking the hit she turned to her partner more exhausting than before. "You're on a roll!" Samantha told her duelling partner, who did a lot better than her and had actually hit the person he had aimed for.

At the next turn of events, Dmitri couldn't help but shake his head. "Look what dueling has devolved into these days. Honestly, there should be a raise in the standards of dueling." He'd cross his arms before rolling his eyes. "And people keep blaming me for all these children's losses when their failures are all their own!"

Imagine the gall.

If there's anything Dmitri Kazimir Jones can do, it's setting the bar high for everyone else.

Doing as strategized

It was looking ugly for Ravenclaw. No matter how many spells Cade threw at the pair of Slytherins it didn't match their speed and strength. Cade managed to throw another flipendo at Opeila knocking her back that was hope within itself. She wasn't looking as difficult as before. But then again, Cade felt pretty fatigued too. If he wasn't careful, things could get very nasty for both himself and Sam. And that thought was amplified when Dmitri threw another split jinks towards them. Cade tried to move out of the way but he was too slow, too tired, and he was knocked back once more. How much more of this could he take?

SLYTHERIN WINS

While the whole situation was not looking good for the Ravenclaws, more than ever, it seemed like Dmitri had every intention of finishing the duel as soon as possible. That didn't mean, however, that Samantha and Cade would not go down without a fight.

Aiming her wand towards Opeila, Samantha tried to deal some damage to the girl who, however, seemed to just know that a spell was coming for her; easily enough, Opeila stepped out of the way, only a couple of moments before she healed herself a little bit.

While this was already impressive -Lydia wished she had such dodging skills herself- Dmitri proved once and for all his undeniable superiority when it came to spellcasting. Just like before, his Flipendo went for both Samantha and Cade, who seemed to be a little lost for a second; that moment of hesitation proved to be the end of his presence in the duel because, even if by a very little margin, Dmitri's knockback jinx hit him, and he fell to the ground, unconscious. But just as Lydia was about to stop the duel, the other Flipendo hit Samantha right on her shoulder; the force of the spell was enough to push her to the ground, her body too exhausted to withstand any other attack. Just like that, in the blink of an eye, the duel was suddenly over, and Lydia had a couple of seconds in which she simply stared at Dmitri, a mix of admiration and fear in her eyes, before she stepped back onto the platform.

"Wands up Viridian Vipers!" she said, clapping her hands as Samantha and Cade were carefully moved off the platform, "Congratulation to you, Dmitri and Opeila! You have brought another victory to your team! Slytherin wins this duel!" Lydia exclaimed as she continued clapping, hoping in her heart that during the next duelling season she won't have to face Dmitri and Opeila. "This is the end of the duel, thank you all for watching! See you all next year!"
