The boy knew Quinn, Taking a closer look at him.. "Kim? Yeah the robes do make us look different! " She quickly put her hand down, she felt embarrassed. It helped a little bit knowing that Kim didn't recognize her at first as well.

He told Enya that the Grifindor table was most likely just loud because the where close to winning the house cup in what felt like a year. Quinn smiled, "Ravenclaw has been winning quite a lot, so its understandable" She added to Kim's statement. He sat in front of Quinn and Enya, he filled his plate with deserts.

"that's a lot of sweets!" Quinn told him. Soon some more sweets had appeared on the table, Like some custard tarts, and cookies. Kim went for the tarts.

Quinn finished her plate of donuts and the cheese cake. He asked what there favorite sweets where, Quinn looked at Enya she knew the answer. Quinn the looked back at Kim "Donuts are my favorite doesn't matter what kind, they all taste amazing " She told him. As she waited for Enya to tell Kim her favorite she grabbed some more donuts, a custard tart, a brownie and some cookies.

She ate the brownie first, it was warm and chocolate. "This is really good! You where right Enya it is to die for!" she told Enya, with a smile on her face. Quinn got her self some milk to dip he cookies in, 'One of the best was to eat your cookies' she thought.

'So they know each other!' Enya thought. How nice it is to know someone, especially in a school as big as Hogwarts. From the sound of the conversation, they probably knew each other before the sorting, but Enya couldn't recall either faces when she got sorted. Not that she had really been paying attention, that damn hat still made fun of her.
"Brownies are just the best, they're always my favorite," she paused. "But my dad makes the best kind. I think they might just be the kind with boxed batter, but they're good anyway!"
The elves at Hogwarts probably hand-made all of the food, or at least used magic to speed up the process. What kind of magic would someone even be able to use to make food cook faster? Probably something too complex for Enya to learn. Maybe in the future, or possibly never. If it was too difficult, she'd never be able to learn.
"I wish I had as much house spirit as the rest of them." Enya mused. She definitely had a lot of energy, just not so much today. The brownies would definitely help.
Quinn's reaction to the (absolutely delicious) brownies only made Enya smile with a knowing grin. Of course, the brownies were delicious! You could never go wrong with them, and Enya was very much aware of that.
"You know, I don't like custard very much," Enya said, quirking her head to the side. "I don't know why."

Kim wasn't the type to shake hands.

Not if he didn't seem as if he had to. He preferred remaining touchless if possible.

He nodded as Quinn mentioned Ravenclaw had been on a pretty impressive streak. As Quinn remarked on his full plate of sweets, Kim smirked as he looked down at his stack.

"You can never have too much dessert!" The pink haired boy said with a raised brow, as if the mere thought was incomprehensible to him. Kim nodded as Quinn told him donuts were her favorite dessert and licked his lips. "Mmm, they are pretty delicious. Perfectly fried bits of dough with different kind of glaze and icing on top. How could you go wrong there, right?" Kim asked, talking a bit more than he usually would.

But it had to do with sweets. He could talk forever about them. However, talking was for later, eating was for now. With that, Kim glanced over the sweets before him on his plate. He'd start with the apple pie as it was probably the one that didn't have the strongest taste. Kim didn't want the stronger tasting desserts to overpower his tastebuds. As he bit into the apple pie, he tasted cinnamon, spices, a hint of vanilla and fresh apples. The crust was crispy.

Perfection.

And the bottom was not soggy like many apple pies tended to be from the juice of the apples.

The House Elves knew what they were doing with these desserts. Kim selected the pumpkin pastie next and again was assaulted by spice notes, namely nutmeg, cinnamon and some others. Fresh pumpkin always tasted great, no matter what the season might be. Once again, he peered down at his plate and chose the strawberry shortcake. This one was delicious, just the right amount of sour and sweetness. But it also tasted quite light too. Two items were left.

The plain glazed donut and the chocolate brownie. Kim picked up the donut and bit into it, savoring the fried dough as it melted into his mouth. "Mmm.... I think plain glazed taste the best, not too sweet but sweet enough to fulfill your cravings." He commented and then picked up the brownie when he was done with the donut. By now, he needed something to drink. Seeing Quinn dip into some milk, Kim decided on the same type of drink.

Milk and chocolate just went so well together.

Breaking off a piece of the brownie, he popped it into his mouth and swallowed some milk.

The milk cut through the richness of the chocolate and made it even better and Kim smiled happily at the taste. It was then that he became aware of Enya's words.

Right, he was in the middle of a conversation with the two girls. He'd almost forgotten. "I like them best without icing on them. They don't even need that extra sugar on top!" Kim said to Enya and then tilted his head to the side. "What is this 'boxed batter' you speak of?" The tall boy inquired, wondering what she was referring to. What did that even mean? Did they make the batter and then throw it inside of a box for some odd reason?

Wouldn't it be rather... unsanitary like that? As Enya commented on her lack of House spirit, Kim shook his head at her. "Don't worry, I'm sure there are other people like us, who aren't behaving like animals..." He said with a shake of his head and blinked when Enya remarked she didn't like custard much. "Really? What don't you like about it? If it's the sweetness, that's why I like it a lot. It's not overly sweet." Kim told the girl.

"But at the same time, it's sweet enough that you know it's a dessert." Kim told her. "Or do you just not like the texture?" He asked. If it was the latter, oh well.

There was nothing he could do about the texture of the dessert.
