Closed Firewalking event

Second time through.
Hadashi was beginning to think that this may have been a mistake. But, he was here, and he needed to finish this. He had a real shot at winning here, and he wasn't going to just leave at the end.

Still though... The pain in his feet was starting to become hard to ignore. This was beginning to exceed Hadashi's meditation abilities. Which, to him, said that he needed to practice it even more. While he did not anticipate himself doing this again, it was still a good indicator that he had a way to go to master meditation.
Or at least thats what he told himself.

And it seemed, he was right to remove his kimono. Otherwise, that rogue flame would have burned it. And he would have been extremely upset with the girl in charge of this. Sure, that hurt like a bastard for a second, but there was no lasting damage.
He didn't know if the same could be said about his feet, but he refused to look or acknowledge anything to do with them until after the third round. Looking would only make things hurt worse and may even make him quit. And under no circumstances would that be acceptable to Hadashi.

So, he just focused his mind to prepare for the final run.

Once again, Cassie and Drew let Charles go before them. At least now they knew what was in store, right? Welll... no. When Charles stepped out onto the course, Cassie was amazed to see flaming missiles- were those flowers? - shooting out of the bushes. "I am so glad we did this in age order," Cassie sighed as Charles stumbled across the course, heckled by the loud girl with the clipboard. "COME ON ALLURING, PUT SOME WORK INTO IT!" the Beauxbatons broom racer screeched in the direction of her friend.

It was Drew next, and Cassie patted him on the back as he took his place at the start of the course. "You got this, Drew!" Drew, however, decidedly did not have this. He'd barley taken two steps onto the course when he was suddenly drowned with flowers. "Drew!" Cassie watched in horror as her Ilvermorny friend crumpled onto the burning Lego bricks. Her feet carried her forwards without her even telling them to, so she was as close to Drew as possible without being on the course. The girl shouted for an adult, and one came and took Drew off to the healing tent after extinguishing the flames on him.

After she'd run the course herself (thankfully, she didn't end up unconscious), Cassie gave Charles a side eye. "Yeah. Alright."

This round was the most intense of them all. The contestants would have to give it their all to win. The yelling intensified to the point where it seemed like they were running an obstacle course in the army. And the flowers kept falling, even faster than before. From the outside it looked pretty but for the people actually walking on the Legos it was almost unbearable.
On top of that, another contestant chose to leave the competition to help a friend out. So much fuss for one person falling on hot coals. The tiny Ravenclaw overseeing the course didn't get it.

"FINE, GO JOIN YOUR FRIENDS, IT'S YOUR COMPETITION TO LOSE!!!!!"

Aida's and Quentin's tactics seemed to be working nicely for the both of them. However, after two rounds of coming in last, it would be extremely hard to turn things around. Their times for the third round were surprisingly good but not enough to bring them victory. They were still last.

Charles and Jane remained steadily somewhere in the middle of the ranking. Their results weren't that bad but just not quite good enough to beat everyone else.
Hadashi, who had been on top of things for the first half of the challenge, seemed to be going slower this time because of the toll that getting burned took on him. So he wasn't too far ahead of everyone mentioned above. However, he was still faster than the people who were coming in last.

But the real competition was between Galton, Serena and Cassie. It seemed that they were going to be in the first place together since they were all going at a rather fast and steady pace. When the last contestant crossed the line the girl yelled again.

"ATTENTION, STUDENTS! THE WINNER OF THIS FIREWALKING COMPETITION IS GALTON LANSDALE!!!!!!!!!!"

It was obvious that he was only ahead of Serena and Cassie by a second or two but he was the winner nevertheless. Still, Serena and Cassie had the second place to share, it wasn't too bad.
