Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 3

“Reparifors” The telltale purple relief flooded over her body, and she was able to take an easy breath, no longer feeling like she was backed to the edge of a cliff. She had been knocked unconscious in only two duels, and she was not about to let a third one happen. San observed Thomas ready to evade another attack, and as he cast his wind jinx, it split. But it would seem that lady luck was still on Slytherin’s side. Not only did one not target Santario at all, but Illowy managed to dodge both of the wind streams coming at her while successfully landing her own hit. “Flawless execution.” She smiled at her teammate before focusing back on the boy across the piste. Just because they landed, a hit didn’t mean it was time to get cocky.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 3

This duel had to be in the running for the most dramatic looking. Between the storm clouds brewing overhead and herself and Baines both seeming to follow the same train of thought as they conjured up their own blustery breezes... it was like a scene out of some dramatic, dusty old gothic novel. Though his cast seemed to be aimed for her partner, the blasted thing split in two. Evidently, the lad's aim wasn't terribly good this go around, but with a bit of grace and quick feet, she managed to evade not only the gust of wind meant for herself, but Martin's too.
The snake shook some straying hair out of her eyes, smirking a bit to herself to see her cast had managed to hit though its cast was a bit subpar from her preferred standard. Sharp eyes glanced to her partner, who certainly was looking better now, and returned the small smile at the compliment.
The duel was theirs. She could taste it. They just needed to keep the effort up; now wasn't the time to start slacking.
I was told I was dangerous. When I asked why, they said, "Because you don't need anyone." That's when I smiled.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 3
Though Ventus was a rather utilized part of Tom's arsenal, he had yet to witness one of his own split. It seemed the spell had a mind of its own, both gusts veering entirely off-target and instead headed towards the older of his two opponents. This would not have ruffled the eagle's feathers if not for the fact that both the original and the split missed their mark. How irksome. Further irksome was getting struck by a spell from his opponents, it seemed rather cruel that it happened to be their own wind jinx. All the more annoying was Santario restoring her vitality across the piste.
"Hm," was the only evidence of his ire, the same silly smile still clear on his face.Action: As strategized!

During a duel there seemed to always be one round where no one could land a hit. What was, statistically, kind of a fun occurrence. Santario and Illowy now had one target, both of them being in fairly good shape. Thomas seemed to have a sense of Santario's cast and was able to dodge it way in advance. He was also able to dodge Illowy fairly easy. But that also was true for the reverse, Santario gliding easily out of the way of Thomas' cast towards her. Three duellists still remained standing.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 3

It was exceedingly frustrating for every spell in a round to miss, not that she wasn’t happy that they weren’t hit, but that meant zero progress was made for the outcome. Thomas's flipendo had been expertly cast, but she had seen was far too prepared to be hit by it. He also seemed to have become far nimbler than the last time they faced off, which was granted roughly two years ago. Each of them had gotten far better in their own right, and this time she would admit all his running of his mouth was proving to be for a good reason, despite the fact that it was annoying as hell.
The storm clouds churned and rumbled above their heads, almost representing how fast her mind was racing, putting together the next moves and outcomes of the duel. Santario took a deep breath and let it out through her lips as she centered herself and stretched her neck from side to side. All she needed to do was stick to the plan and hope her hits landed. Future strategy didn’t much matter if she couldn’t manage to hit him.

Each time yet another of her spells failed, Illowy was making a mental note to lock herself in the duelling practice room. At this point, it was nearly embarrassing how many of her spells were failing to land. This kid just seemed so light on his feet. On the other hand, he was hardly impressing her in any other way aside from his wonderful talent of running away. An ever featuring pattern she was starting to notice.
Why was it again that she'd ever mourned not getting into Ravenclaw?
The girl shook the though from her mind; not the time, nor the place. Right now, she just wanted to see that boy wiped clean of his cocky smirk.

In this present moment, Thomas was regretting not putting more points into accuracy remembering those training drills he promised he’d get done some time ago. It wasn’t the first time he was struck with such a thought, and it probably wouldn’t be the last due to his somewhat haphazard grasp he had on any sort of routine—more than likely he’d forget to do them as soon as the sting of whatever loss hit him wore off. For all his vitriol Thomas did not possess the capacity to hold a grudge for long, generally his memory of annoyances was short as he’d always find new ones right around the corner.
Nonetheless, Tom was certainly feeling the irritation now. With the time limit weighing heavily on his mind, the Ravenclaw knew he was losing this numbers game, 2 versus 1 was beyond unfavorable. "Oooh, almost got me with that one," came his goading call to the opposing team. Even if he wasn’t going to win, he was more than happy to be annoying until the duel was over. Not that he had given up just yet, there was still time for a comeback!Action: As strategized!

Thomas was a lean, mean, dodging machine. What seemed like an impossible chance of him seeing Santario's spells coming at him and dodging quite easily, happened not once but twice. Willow noted that she should probably ask him for dodging tips later. Getting hit by spells was... bad in duelling. Illowy shifted her focus elsewhere, getting rid of the ever gloomy cloud over the Slytherin's heads and transferring it over to Thomas instead. Would this help the serpents? Or would it only be foreboding to the eagle who stood below it? What seemed like a match that would end early with one of the Ravenclaw's going unconscious in round 3 now seemed to be taking it's time. Much to Willow's delight of being able to see some powerful duellists in action, though her heart ached for the fact that Pericles wasn't also there to participate.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 3
Storm clouds rumbling overhead, Thomas confidently moved out of the way of the gust of wind headed his direction. It seemed that their duel had devolved to some form of mass weather event, a thought that was mildly amusing. Amusing enough to earn an audible chuckle from the boy, in fact, at the absurdity of it all. He was not oblivious to how the gesture might be perceived, he simply cared not for how his opponents might’ve regarded his laughter. The fact that he still had yet to be knocked off of his feet was an exciting one.
"Close!" It wasn’t really, at least not this time around. He knew more close calls were likely in order, Thomas just hoped he possessed the skill to continue his evasion and to turn this duel around.Action: As strategized!

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 3

Santario had personally witnessed one other person who could doge this well. It was almost as if he was predicting their moves before they made them and she was getting really tired of being engulfed in wind.
She had to square up and put more into it. Losing was not an option. She had gone unconscious in her first duel and last duel whike she was a changeling she straight up lost. She could not lose now. She had to prove that she could still do it that those things couldn't take amything away from her.
