Noah looked at Hunter, who withdrew his wand. "N-no you don't have to do that!" Knowing it was pointless to even try to change someone's mind as it's never worked from Noah- who lacked persuasion. He heaved a heavy sigh. "Fine. I am here because I wanted to practice. Is that so wrong?"

He thought about perhaps giving Hunter a chance to talk. But no, if he wanted to be known, he had to prove his worth. Should he cast the Severing charm? Or the Tickling charm? What would work? What would make him sound like a more intimidating foe, compared to his real self. He couldn't even scare or intimidate the Broom Racing Captain, Nicholas. Noah was awful at any form of charisma or dexterity.

Thats it. Noah knew what he was doing. He was going to cast something he hasn't previously thought of. The Knockback Jinx. He hasn't used it in a while after all. It was so long since Noah was able to demonstrate and flaunt his talented self, and now, he had the time.

Noah performed the wand movement of Flipendo. "fli-PEN-doh!" The boy cried, hoping the spell hit.

Hunter listened to Noah's words, noticing the small-statured boy beginning to withdraw his wand as if a duel between the two of them wasn't meant to be. Still, though, Hunter withdrew his wand with the idea that a duel was a duel, and real experience could be gained within this fight. As Noah's mind began to change once again, Hunter wasn't sure if his question was rhetorical or not, "Course not, practice makes perfect as they say," to which Hunter pointed his wand at Noah.

Even though Hunter didn't duel, he wielded a wand of Aspen wood, a fine quality wood that resembled ivory and was utilized by the best of duelists. Some students were afraid of Hunter when they saw such a thing, and many questioned his capabilities since he rarely used it in a fight. He himself was unsure if he was fitting for such a wand. Such doubt tended to influence his magical power, but he had to consider everything when it came to reason. He wanted to question Noah about what wand he had out of curiosity, " Mr. Jupe, sorry to ask, but what sort-" Hunter cut himself off as his eyes followed the wand movements that Noah was making. Hunter always had a feeling of fear and paranoia creeping up his back, and thus he found trouble relaxing or letting his guard down in any situation. His eyes followed, and the words that came from Noah's mouth made Hunter swiftly kick against the ground to push himself to the left in a very quick fashion.

The knockback jinx, a bit of a hefty and powerful spell that Hunter had taken a lot of hits towards before this duel. His eyes didn't shift away from Noah, and Hunter gave a slight thought to what spell he should cast. Based on Noah's small stature, Hunter assumed the boy wouldn't be able to take many hits. Then again, many students were surprised by how constitutionally strong Hunter was despite being a bookworm. Still, winning or losing didn't matter. Hunter was looking for data/information on duels and spells. Testing spells and their capabilities would reveal a lot for future events.

Hunter needed this duel to last long to gain the most out of it. This could end up being torturous for both parties... or just Noah. With a tired look that some could describe in the color of "grey," Hunter lifted his wand and proceeded to enact the only curse spell that he knew, "Mucus ad Nauseam!"

Fuck. Noah's attempt at casting Flipendo was shit. Clearly he wasn't as great as he wanted to be, and desperately hoped that this duel wouldn't be like the one he had with Liana Kerr.

"Well- if you're curious about what sort of knowledge I have- then it's-- utmost and perfect. Wait-" Noah widened his eyes in fear. "THE CURSE OF THE BOG-" He immediately jumped out of the way, not finishing the word 'bogies' because it would've been possible that the spell could've hit him should he have said the word and finished it.

"YOU BLOODY IDIOT! I'M NOT TRYING TO MAKE ANYONE SICK OR HAVE SOMEWHAT OF AN ENDLESS COLD!" Noah yelled out, both fear and anger went into his words.

He figured the boy would rather suffer a fate worse than death- and so- he decided to use a interesting spell- something he always had an interest with- but wasn't Incendio- (or it's sibling spell, Incendio Duo)- the TONGUE TYING SPELL! Ooo what fun was that! How delightful!

Maybe now he wouldn't need to listen to unnecessary commentary on how awful his spellcasting was, should it have succeeded.

He performed the wand movement, which was using his wrist to make circles, twice. Now, he stated the words- "MIMBLEWIMBLE!"

Hearing the term bloody idiot was a slight surprise that Hunter hadn't quite expected to hear from Noah's mouth. He took it that perhaps Noah wasn't quite as meek as he portrayed himself to be during spring break. Perhaps he took dueling very seriously, and certain aspects just really got on his nerves. Or maybe he had a very bad cold and experience with the "Curse of the Bogies." Hunter was about to place his wand in his mouth and take out his journal and a muggle pen to take note of this key aspect, but before he could he already saw the next spell coming toward him. He immediately arched his back backward to dodge the mimblewimble aimed at his mouth. It scathed passed his eyes and bits of hair, and he himself was amazed by his own reaction time and flexibility.

It reminded him of his first time dueling, and it was a mixture of himself dodging spells after spells. Hunter wasn't much of a fighter, he wanted to be a healer, but he knew his own strengths and weaknesses. He kept his wand in his hand, realizing he wouldn't have any time to take current notes as of the duel.

Hunter was tempted to try and cast Curse of the Bogies once more. The sickness was rather unpleasant but allowed great possibility in learning about magical sicknesses and how they influenced the bodies of people. Each person was unique, and thus each immune system was bound to react differently. However, he found Noah's close aim to be a bit of a pester and figured he should try something else first, "Rictusempra!"
