Goosebumps Club Meeting may 1st 2022 pv

Getting up, Bailey was excited. That morning she had a meeting of the Goosebumps club, and the scream, the newsletter she had helped to design, was going to be there! She had not seen the finished product yet, but she was excited to see. Both she and @Ari Gwild had worked super hard on it. @Kim Sato, @Noah Jupe, and @Sienna Lenior had done an amazing job writing the articles and helping.
Getting dressed, Bailey looked at her watch. It was 6:30 am- the meeting was in 30 minutes. Pulling on a black shirt, some jeans and her black boots, Bailey grabbed the plate of green caramel apples and the cookies from the recipe in the Scream. Heading to where the meeting would be, Bailey balanced the tray of cookies and the box of caramel apples.
Entering the room, Bailey say that Noah was the only one there so far. “Hello Noah! How are you doing this morning?! The room looks great!” Bailey said cheerily. The fact that Noah was there first made sense, due to the fact that he was the head of the club and the fact that she was there 15 minutes early. Walking over to the table with the food, Bailey saw that Noah had brought or possibly made a great spread of food- and it included Caramel apples.
Laughing, Bailey placed the foods down and said to Noah “The food you have looks amazing- if I had know you were making or bringing food I wouldn’t have brought these caramel apples. And the cookies are the ones from the scream. I hope you don’t mind…”

Outfit: Pajamas, with no shoes. Messy bedhead.

Sophia was utterly exhausted. She hadn't woken up this early since her old days in public school, and she could feel the difference. Seven in the morning was too early to even exist, let alone to attend a club meeting. Was Kim some kind of sadist? Why would he invite her to a club that meets hours before class even began? Didn't he know she needed her beauty sleep?

Her hair was a poofy mess, her eyes had tiny crusties in them, and she'd somehow managed to make it all the way to the corridors before realizing she wasn't wearing shoes. In fact, as it was, unbeknownst to Sophia, she was actually shuffling along the corridors in her pajamas.

She didn't even know exactly where she was going. All that Kim had said in his stupid letter was that the room would appear when she needed it to. Whatever the heck that meant. She'd been wandering the corridors for five minutes and no stupid room had appeared. What she needed was to find this club meeting so that she could use Kim as a pillow and take a nap before the meeting actually started. That would be nice.

As she rounded a corner she was positive she'd already rounded before, there stood an unfamiliar door. Was this what Kim had meant?

Hesitating only briefly, she pushed into the door and continued her groggy, zombie-like trek into the club room. She saw Noah and Bailey, both blessedly familiar faces, but where was Kim?

"Hey, everyone," she said with a yawn, looking around until she found Kim. Ah, there he was. At the food table. Stupid glutton. Stupid beautiful glutton with his stupid strong arms.

She shuffled over to him and rested a head on his shoulder, using it as a makeshift pillow.

"Hey Kim," she breathed dreamily. Almost instantly, she started snoring, despite the fact that they were both standing up still. It didn't matter. She was tired, and the night before she'd had another stupid bout of insomnia, so she would get whatever sleep she could.

Hello everyone! Don't mind the disheveled Sophia, it's still early!

Mei rolled out of bed. Literally. There was a loud thump on the floor as she fell. She groaned and sat up. Thank god she had chosen bottom bunk. She stood and stretched and popped her neck. She walked to the bathroom groggily and brushed her teeth and her hair.

She walked back and got ready for the day. Waking up early was not her usual thing but sometimes she just had to do so. She slipped on some fishnet sleeves and a black t-shirt that read love in small letters across the front. She paired this with a black skirt with white lines criss crossing it. She pulled on some knee high socks and black boots.

She draped her headphones around her neck and walked out of her dorm and through the common room. She made her way down to where the meeting was being held place. She enjoyed Goosebumps club. She had read the entire series at least twice. In fact she had brought them with her in her trunk.

She walked into the Rehearsal room to see four other people already there. Hopefully she didn't miss anything too important. "Hey guys! Sorry if I'm late." She glanced around the room taking in the sight and the smell of the foods that had been brought.

As she was talking to @Noah Jupe Bailey heard several more people enter. Bailey saw that they were all people she knew; a grumpy @Kim Sato, a @Sophia Nelson who was still her her pajamas and who looked like she could have wandered in by accident. And lastly, @Mei Hagikura walked in, and she looked awake and reasonably cheerful.
As they entered, each a few minutes apart, Bailey went and said hello to them.
When Kim walked in, Bailey walked over and gave him a quick hug. He smiled a little at her and asked how she was. Smiling widely back, Bailey said “I am great! Though it is a tad early today- I do think Noah might be doing this to see who is really devoted to the club. Either that or he has something against you.”
Smiling, Bailey knew that Noah was really devoted this club, and wanted his member to be as well. When Kim mentioned having two people coming for the meeting, Bailey smiled. She knew of @ Pax Zhang and Sophia, and was thinking hey- I could have come with Sophia. We come from the same place - only if I know she was coming! when both Sophia and Mei walked in. Noting that the meeting, so far, was very Ravenclaw heavy, Bailey walked over to Noah and said “Have you checked who is actually interested in this club? I mean, we have several ‘members’ who haven’t responded to my owls and who have not been to the meetings or anything. We… oh if you tell me that I can make a spread sheet; are we going to terminate people’s memberships if they don’t act interest in the club and don’t respond to owls? Or have you already done this?”
Curious, Bailey was talking to Noah because she was honestly interested in this club.

Most of the students wouldn't appreciate the early start, but Pax kinda loved them. Summer mornings were some of the best. The weather wasn't annoyingly hot, but warm enough that they didn't feel a need to bring a jacket when they ran. The sun hadn't fully risen, so there were still orangey-pink rays cast on the ground. Dew was scattered across the grass, making the base of their trainers damp.

They approached the door of the room, a thin towel around their neck. Deciding to come straigh from their run, they were probably dressed unlike anybody else there, in a bright aqua running shirt, black sports leggings and teal trainers. But their mind was racing and ready for what the day would bring.

Pushing open the door, they smiled at all the current arrivals, several Ravenclaws that they'd definitely seen somewhere before, before heading over to Noah. "Hey, I'm Pax, I think Kim mentioned that I would be coming today. It's great to be here, I'm excited to see what this'll be like!"

After letting Noah acknowledge their presence, they turned to say hi to Kim. "Hey! Thanks for inviting me here, it seems pretty cool. So...what do you typically do at these meetings? Do you go through that magazine or do other stuff?"

Sophia felt like she'd had the worst nightmare. She'd dreamt that she'd had to wake up in the morning for a club meeting at seven in the morning. It was awful, and she was glad to have finally awoken from that terrible dream. She didn't know why she'd decided to take a nap on the grounds. She normally preferred to frequent the Owlery in her free time.

"Sophie?" a voice called from a distance. It was Kim. It had to be Kim. She'd know that voice in an instant.

"Come on Sophie,", he said, suddenly appearing at her side, "We have to go. You have to collect your trophy at the Potions award ceremony, so let's go, or you'll be late."

She looked over to Kim, noting that he, like her, was wearing his school robes. For him to be wearing them outside of class, this ceremony had to be important. Why couldn't she remember it though?

"Potions award ceremony?" she asked, before it clicked. Oh no. She was going to be late.

Another voice came from her left shoulder, a voice that was high-pitched and intelligent.

"Sophia, he's right. You won't get there on time on foot. You have to fly, Sophia!"

That voice. Who was it? It was so, so familiar. Yet she was sure she'd never heard it. Looking over to her left shoulder, she was surprised to see Amelia. Her owl offered her a quick wink.

"Well, are you going to stare at me all day, or are you going to collect your trophy?" Amelia asked impatiently.

"She's right, Sophie," Kim said again, wrestling her attention away from Amelia. To her surprise, floating at his side was a flying carpet. A beautiful blue and silver flying carpet, that perfectly matched her house. Kim climbed aboard the carpet and patted beside him, "Come on, Sophie! We have to go. Felix is going to be there too, and we can't be late."

Sophia frowned. Felix? Wait, yeah. That was right. Kim liked Felix. But something was really off. What was going on?

"Wait!" she exclaimed, "When did you meet Amelia?"

Amelia left her shoulder and plopped down onto the carpet between them. She gave Sophia a disappointed glare that said, 'Seriously? That's what you're worried about?', but Sophia didn't pick up on it. Instead she climbed onto the carpet with her friends and they took off. As they soared at a comfortable speed toward the castle, other pieces started to click in Sophia's head.

"Wait a sec," she said again,"Flying carpets are illegal in the U.K., aren't they? And Kim, aren't you afraid of heights?"

She was feeling worried now. Something was amiss, she just knew it.

Kim chuckled beside her, grabbing the reins on the flying carpet - since when did carpets have reins??? - and leading them toward the main entrance of the castle. With a trademark smirk, he said,"I guess with love, you can overcome any fear."

What on God's green earth did that mean?

The carpet touched down in front of the main entrance and the three of them - with Amelia on her shoulder - ran through the castle toward the Great Hall. They seemed to arrive just in time, because as they entered, her old priest from Ireland, Father Lamb, was making an announcement to the students in the Great Hall.

"And for best first-year Potions student, we have Sophia Maria Nelson," he said proudly, holding out a trophy shaped like a cauldron in her general direction. She walked up nervously, accepting the cauldron-trophy and turning to look at Kim.

She smiled when she saw that not only was Kim - hand-in-hand with Felix - sitting at a bench, watching her accept the award, but Amelia was perched upon his shoulder, Sage was sipping on some steaming tea and smiling at her, Colin was holding a wriggling mouse in his maw, and Gem was beaming at her proudly. This was amazing. She'd done something well, her friends were here for her, and life just couldn't possibly get any better than this. It was much better than her dream from before.

The only thing that could possibly make it better, was if-

"Sophia?"

A familiar voice called out to her, but there was no way. It was impossible. She turned to face the voice, and, yes, it was him! Her dad was smiling at her, giving her a big thumbs-up. She ran to him, hugging him tightly.

"I'm so proud of you," he said. Another pair of arms wrapped around her shoulders. She knew them immediately. Her mom.

"We're so proud of you,", she said with a smile, "Now go be with your friends."

"I love you both. So much!" she said as she let go, running back to her friends. She stepped up to the table her friends were at and sat down, happy to show off her trophy.

"I'm so glad I met you guys," she said with a smile. This was officially the best day ever. She rested her head on the trophy and watched the rest of the award ceremony, not noticing that she was slowly drifting back to sleep.

Sophia woke with a start, bumping her head on the arm of the chair. Something didn't quite feel right. Wasn't she just doing something? Something important? She winced and rubbed her head, sitting up quickly. Where was she?

She glanced at a nearby clock and noted that it was early. Just after seven? Oof. Why was she up this early, and why wasn't she in her dorm?

Then she remembered, falling asleep on Kim's shoulder. Right, but how'd she ended up here? The clattering of a plate on a table caught her attention. There was Kim, the glutton, carrying food as usual! Well, he had her full, undivided attention.

"How long was I out?" she asked as she began to pick snacks off of his plate. She gave a big yawn, stretching her arms above her head.

Wow! Noah actually had more people come this time than they did last time. Perhaps that was a sign of accomplishment! And these were new people! The rainbow haired boy clapped excitedly. Then he changed his expression to one that was one of the solemn moods.

It was Goosebumps Club, home of childish horror stories and overreactive imagination. But whoever said monsters aren't real, are obviously lying. Listen, hear me out, if the muggles were right about witches being real, then monsters are real. Of course, if they met our hippogriffs, they really would be targeting us even though we don't have a mole on our nose like the stereotypical witch. This is part of the muggle overreactive mind, according to Noah.

Noah took a Mummified Finger, and bit into it. He loved the taste of it, and how the grease/juice from the biscuit wrapped sausage exploded in his mouth. It was clearly something delightful.

He listened to those who had entered. "HI BAILEY! how are you? I woke up early this morning, so of course I have a reason to be exhausted." Then he leaned in and whispered to Homework Thief. "I set up the time for the meeting to be this early. I'm planning on it to be earlier next time! Just to mess with a certain Gryffindor." He said, winking.

He smiled at the sight of the cookies. He was glad Bailey read The Scream. It made him proud.

He laughed at the sight of Kim and the full platter. "No worries! Thank you for inviting them. Oh, and I personally love the Mummified Fingers. Let me know what you like!"

"Hi? Are you..." Noah looked at Kim, then named one of two people he was told. "... Pax? Sophia?"

And she seemed breathless at the sight of Kim. Huh, he thought he was the only one who liked Kim. Maybe it was rather reoccurring, maybe Kim was some sort of date magnet, like Simon is a chick magnet.

And then Bailey popped "The Question." He was hoping no one would ask that question. "Yes. Bailey. I do routine checks. About twice a month. If they aren't doing anything after signups, after the second month (four checks from me) Speaking of, are you going anywhere anytime soon, so I don't mark you off the list for active members?"

Hmm, at the same time, it seemed another Gryffindor came in. He reminded Noah of Kim. But he never actually got to know Pax. Maybe it was the possible personality?

"Glad to see you Pax! Welcome! Come enjoy yourself some Pumpkins!" He said, to Pax Zhang.

"We are rather chill. But we like to get to know our Goosebumps Fans! We will occasionally have a play, like the one we are going to have in a few days after school begins, when you'll be a higher year than what you are now."
