Run Boy Run
Energy surged through Pax as they exited the classroom. The next day was their first quidditch match, and as the new co-captain, a lot of expectations were resting on their shoulders. They wanted to prove that they were capable, especially as there were probably at least a few who didn't think they were up for it.
With all the pent- up energy they had, there had to be some way that they could release it. So they decided to go for a run. It was a good way to release stres and tension, besides, they wanted to get back into the habit (they'd stopped doing it as much since joining Hogwarts).
Scanning the nearby corridor that was flooded with students, they selected their next target running partner. A Gryffindor boy (at least, it seemed like a boy) with his hair swept back in a half- up half- down style, relatively tall in stature, standing tall and proud. They would be perfect.
Making their way through the crowds, Pax weaved through the people to approach the tall Gryffindor, tapping them on the shoulder (they may or may not have had to stand on their tip-toes for that).

Tomorrow was the day of the Spring Races.
Broom races. Yes, that was right. An event Kim had no wish of going to.
Anything that had to do with brooms or flying was something he'd prefer not to be around at all costs. But thanks to Sage, Kim had been roped into attending the event.
She'd dragged him into an errand being hosted by one of the professors, where the students had to make banners to support their House. What he hadn't been informed of at the time, was that those who made banners were expected to attend the actual race too. It would take place at 2pm the following day and Kim was not looking forward to this. A sigh escaped his lips as he waited for the students to file out of potions class, as he remained behind them all.
It was his usual method to avoiding the madness of the crowd rush.
As he waited for the others to leave the room and make their way up the winding staircase, Kim reached up to run a hand through the front of his hair.
The boy's hair was currently pulled back into a short ponytail with a hair band keeping it in place, although some strands had escaped here and there. He smoothed down his robes and after the last student had disappeared through the door, Kim headed out himself. The tall purple haired boy slowly climbed up the staircase and emerged into a bustling corridor, where everyone was trying to move everywhere at once. Ugh, Kim decided to wait for a time.

Eventually, Kim spotted a break in the crowds and he quickly stepped forward. All he wanted was to get out of there and back up to his dorms to rest for a short time and then figure out what he wanted to do later. It was around this time that a hand suddenly made contact with his shoulder and Kim glanced down to see an unfamiliar face. Who the hell was that? He didn't recognize them at all. And the boy introduced himself to him, confirming his suspicion.
Ah, so he didn't know them.
"Mm. No thanks." Kim said and then turned around to head off, away from them.

Pax blinked as the boy turned away. Well, that was rude. They weren't expecting to be completely denied. That wasn't in their vocabulary. Unconsciously, they grabbed onto the boy's robes. Since he didn't want to run with them, it had quickly become their mission to convince him. That wasn't something they could control, it was just something that was triggered in their brain.
"Come on! Please," they said, pouting. "It'll be fun!"
They pulled at the boy's robes, pulling him back to face them. "Exercise is healthy for you," they said matter- of- factly. "And you look like you run regularly. I want to get back into running. It makes sense, doesn't it? You should run with me!"
They tried to speak with a serious face, but they couldn't help but break into laughter. "I mean, come on! Do you not want to be healthier? Besides, running is great for stress, and no offense, but you look a little stressed. And running with a friend is so much better than running alone! Pleeeeease, come on, pleeeeeease!"
Pax racked their brain for bribery...and then an idea hit them. They smirked. "And do you know the best thing about running? The food afterwards. After a good run, food always tastes better." They let that sink in. "Now, what do you say?"Reducio

Kim didn't care if it seemed rude.
If he didn't know the person, he wasn't the type to try to get to know them.
But it seemed as if Pax just couldn't take a hint and they reached out to grab onto his robes. Kim was yanked backward as he met some resistance from behind and glanced back at the culprit. As he'd suspected, it was Pax and he narrowed his eyes at them. But before Kim could open his mouth and say a single word, they started to spew out a number of things. Pax had the nerve to pull him back over to them and Kim regarded them. Who the hell was this Pax?
They certainly had that daring and nerves of steel that Gryffindor was known for. As Pax went on to explain about their interest in running and why they wanted him to run with them, Kim remained quiet. However, as Pax mentioned their stress, Kim made a face. He didn't want to think about the races tomorrow, it was true. Running might take his mind off it for a time. And he didn't have anything to do today. It wasn't as if he would do this every day.
So why not?
It was then that Pax said something about delicious food after their run and Kim perked up.
"I suppose. When did you want to do this?" He asked letting his blue eyes flicker over Pax. The tall, purple haired Gryffindor awaited Pax's response.

With a grin, Pax clapped their hands together with delight. They honestly hadn't expected the boy to agree so quickly. They didn't even know his name, or if he was even their age. But it didn't matter.
"Yay! Great!" They cheered. Yes, they seemed very much like a child right now, but they didn't care. Despite all of the odd looks that they may or may not be getting from everybody else trying to escape the corridor.
"Oh, I never asked your name, that was rude of me, I'm sorry. Also, we should probably get changed, I'm not going to run in my robes, god, do you know much I'd trip over myself. We can do a lap or two around the grounds, and then get the food after!"
Pax turnd away, before realising that the boy had also asked them a question, and then turned back. "Oh! Right! Question. Time. Yes. Um..." They went to look at their non- existant watch, before realising it was, well, non- existant. "How about we say... in 15 minutes? Yeah, that should be enough time to get back up the dorms, change, and then get back to the grounds."
Their smile lessened for a second as they whispered, "And if you don't show, I will find you and I will eat all your food. In front of you. When you are starving and want nothing more than to tuck into a good meal."
And just like that, the threat had passed and the grin was back. "I'll see you in 15!"Pax Zhang has left the corridor to run to the dorms to change, before meeting Kim at the grounds.Reducio

Kim eyed Pax for a moment.
They looked quite excited over his acceptance which made him wonder a little.
Did they not have any friends? It only made sense to go running with your friends. Not pick some random person and ask them to be their running partner out of nowhere.
Pax's words made Kim raise a brow. They definitely seemed energetic and very talkative. From the way they were speaking, it seemed as if they wanted to do it right now. Well, he supposed he could oblige because it wasn't time for dinner yet and he didn't have anywhere to be. Pax was like a whirlwind or a tornado, that was what Kim was reminded of when he saw them. But he had to admit, they were growing on him. Even if they were still strangers.
A sigh escaped his lips as he made his way down the hallway and through the corridors. Taking his time, Kim headed up the stairs towards the Gryffindor dorms. Pax was well ahead of him, they seemed to be determined to be the fastest to change and get down to the grounds area as soon as possible. Well, Kim was going to take his time. There was no need to rush at all. The grounds would still be there whenever Kim arrived, as long as it was before dinner.
Climbing the stairs, Kim soon disappeared from sight as he said the password and the lady opened the door to the Gryffindor common rooms for him.
