OOC Note
So sorry for taking so long to interact! I honestly didn't expect that many people to come interact with Willow! I've bolded names for ease of reading to see what she says to your character. Please don't feel obligated to come back if you've left the table! Again, I'm so sorry for the lateness. Everything happened so fast!

What Willow would have never expected was how quickly people would swarm around her books. At most she expected to have 1-2 people to talk to. This event quickly filled up and the girl felt slightly overwhelmed, but this was her time to shine. First Kim Sato came up to the table, someone Willow hadn't previously met. "I'm Willow! I'm a third year Hufflepuff and I'm a practicing Wiccan." She slowly pushed her food to the side. Snacks would have to come later. A familiar Hufflepuff also showed face, AngelFyre, "Hi AngelFyre! Yeah you're correct. I'm Wiccan!" Should she- just jump into an explanation?

Sophia Nelson then came up, obviously interested in the books. Mentally Willow was making notes of what to talk about. Bailey Glade, someone Willow didn't really know also came over but apparently she was a friend of Syl's which made her a friend of Willow's. The young girl glanced down at her wrist and held it out with pride. Friendship bracelets shared with Flash, Alan, and Sylvain all proudly on her wrist. They looked worn, which was fair since she never took them off. "Yeah! Isn't it so cute? I love my friendship bracelets."

An additional person came up, goodness there were so many. Colin McCoire. Again, not someone she super knew but apparently he knew about her, greeting her with a bow which made her flush. "Oh- I'm actually not a prefect anymore. I've just had so much going on that I didn't have time- so, I stepped down. But I'm still on the duelling team and the Headliner news team! I wouldn't call myself a pro with anything though." She waved off the compliments, trying to not get too in her head about it. Her interest was peaked when he mentioned an old recipe book. "I would be really interested in that actually- if you could let me borrow it once you get your hands on it. Me and my grandma made a lot of salves and everything together before I came here. My mom mostly does it now, and sells them on Etsy. Which is a like- muggle online store if any of you don't know about it." Sophia also seemed to know about muggle medicine and now seemed as good as any time to launch into an explanation while she had a captive audience before they left because Willow's writer took a bit to respond.

"Um- I guess while you're all here. Hello~ My name is Willow Anderson, I'm a third year Hufflepuff and my family practices Wicca. My grandma was the first of our family to sort of start our family on it, and by the time my mom was born she had a pretty good handle on it. My mom and dad actually met at one of the festivals for a Wicca holiday and he's been hooked on it since. I'm the third generation of witches in my family, first generation witchy- wizard- person, which is kind of cool." She paused and took a deep breath before moving on.

"So- the first book is my plant compendium. I've been drawing since I was very little and plants are my favorite so I draw and take notes about plants and their medicinal properties. Towards the end of it you'll see when I started attending Hogwarts because there are new plants in there from the wizarding world. This other one is a history of Wicca. My mom gave it to me when I started showing interest in practicing and has some pages pasted in at the end of why my grandma started practicing. So that's pretty cool. Um- this other one is a book of basic spells and everything. My grandma's notes are all over it. She used this before she moved onto writing her own spell book. This is another book that is like- a short book on all of the holidays. You guys can look through any of them if you want." Willow felt kind of shy about the whole situation, shrinking back into her seat. People started to come and go from the table, getting anxious from the crowd or seeing their friends across the room.

One of them talked about not getting married, but people thought he was (Kim)? Colin burst out into song or poetry or something and ended up leaving. AngelFyre left and rejoined a couple times. Eventually Simon showed up and he started talking about Catholicism with some other people around Willow's table. She happily eavesdropped, not having much to contribute but being content to listen and learn from the others. She pulled her snacks back towards her to happily munch on while observing the people around her.

Religion was an interesting concept in Pax's household. Their mother had grown up at as a Christian in a relatively Christian household (attending church on a Sunday, all the usual Christian things), but wasn't quite sure what they believed now, labelling themselves as agnostic. On the other hand, their father had grown up with atheist- turned- Taoist parents. Unlike his parents, he'd stayed an atheist, despite all the regular visits to temples and spiritual things in his old family home. When he'd moved to Canada and met their mother, he'd dabbled in Christianity for a while, but ended up without a belief. However, both of them had always encouraged Pax and their brothers to follow their own ideaologies (within reason, of course).

Their older brother, Nico, was currently agnostic like their mother. They'd explored a variety of different religions (ranging from well- known to obscure), but wasn't sure which hey believed personally. On the contrary, their younger brother Jason believed in Mahayana Buddhism, and has done so for a year. Pax, however, was completely unsure where they stood. Like their brother Nico, they'd done a lot of exploration into different religions, but they hadn't settled on anything. They don't know if they believed in multiple gods, a singular god, or none at all! So, when they heard about an event in the Great Hall about religion, they thought it'd be a good chance to learn some more. Besides, their brother would likely be there as well.

They entered the Great Hall when it seemed the event was in full swing. Everyone was gathered around talking, and for once, they felt a little awkward and out of place. A large religious event was the one thing that could make them feel a little alienated. Mainly because they had no idea what they believed. They were interested in mythology, did that mean they believed in the gods? They didn't even know.

Either way, Pax took a deep breath and walked in, trying to spot anybody that they knew or could talk to. They awkwardly grabbed a couple of cookies and a glass of lemonade before wandering around alone for a little bit. It was the first time that Pax had been pushed aside in an event, or not been as willing to participate. Religion was just something that was such a loose- ended topic for them. Spotting a group of (potentially) first year students, with a mix from what seemed like Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, Pax settled on walking over there. They had come to socialise after all.

"Uh, hi," they smiled, with an awkward wave of their hand. Recognising Kim from the Tri-Cooking Club, one of the other Gryffindors they'd seen in the common room, and another one of the members of the tri-Cooking Club. "I'm Pax...Pax Zhang...pronouns are she/they if you didn't know? How are you all? I assume you're here because you're religious?"

Judith walked into the Great Hall after she heard there was this kind of celebration, or rather gathering for the many holidays that had been falling on the same day. She didn't really know a lot about what was about to happen, only that people would be discussing their beliefs/religions, and to Judith, it seemed like this might be a chance for her to talk to people about her Jewish being. Until now, the only ones who knew she was Jewish were Hunter or her cousin Juniper, but otherwise she didn't think anyone knew.

Pesach Passover was only a few days ago, and Judith was rather sad she hadn't been able to celebrate it fully, altho she was happy to be here at Hogwarts, but keeping the laws in a non-Jewish community is just a really big struggle, but at times Judith saw it more as a way to grow up without all those laws, and see if she still feels so connected when getting home/or when she graduates from Hogwarts and gets to start her own life. Altho she believes she will never really give up her love for Judaism up.

Being Jewish was something Judith was rather proud of, she would always wear her Magen David david star to show that she was a Bnei Yisrael Child(ren) of Israel. She was proud of her family, her traditions and of her connection to G-d. And altho she couldn't really follow all the mitzvot commandments, she could still do some of them, the once she felt most connected to, such as praying or giving charity, or even lighting candles and all. Judith always felt that following a religion in your own being, in what you find important and how you think you can connect to G-d is still the most beautiful thing, no matter how many mitzvot you follow.

If Judith had to choose a favourite holiday, or a favourite thing about her religion, it would be the community, and for holidays Sukkot. She absolutely loved the Sukkah, praying in it made her feel special and made her feel the most connected. And being in a community with people who live towards the same goal, or towards the same vision was just beautiful, cause altho it was the same, everyone lives it differently, and Judith definitely saw beauty in that.

She took her seat at the Great table and saw someone eating some snacks next to her, so she decided to just get the conversation running. "Hey there! How are you doing today?" She asked the person, hoping she could get a conversation going, maybe even discuss some religious topics.

"Oh uh it's actually Extressia..." she nervously waved toward Snakey Bois: "And I guess pumpkin pastry is your favorite, it's all your eating for the snack before us Jarael, it's not sorry for the assumption, and I am a brave lion, thank for the compliments." She smiles at Jarael, meanwhile, she appreciates AF explanation of being in a religion, this has been an insightful convo already, not that she really cares but still. "Thank you so much, AF. I really appreciate it." she blushes in happiness. She wasn't sure who to talk to though, there were so many people sn the tables. Might just stick with Jarael and the blue streak hair boy:
"Uh, what's your name too snakey boi, and how did you and Jarael meet?" She said the nickname Snakey Boi was like a question, it wasn't not obvious why Jarael's friend had a nickname like that, most likely he was a Slytherin. But she really didn't care, just care about a simple question with more chocolate mint cookies and some religious convo. Jarael speaking was strange, but fun in Extressia's opinion, and Colin seem excitable which was made her more nervous, but seem like a good dude who wasn't obvious about their feelings with Jarael, and the same could be said for Jarael herself: "Should I tried to matchmake them." thought questionly Extressia.

Waterfall oh waterfall shower over me. Let thy words give power to me.

Colin wondered what Jarael's words could possibly mean. Waterfalls and words and power. He watched with interest as she munched on the pumpkin pastry he'd given her. That made him happy and he smiled.

The red haired girl across from them spoke up then. "Bloody Tres, of lions' brood," he whispered. She said her name was Extressia. He grinned when she told Jarael her favourite snack must be pumpkin pastry.

Colin thought about pastries as the girl talked with Fyre Angel and Jarael worked on her pastry. He didn't care at all for pumpkin pastries himself, and had wondered why on earth he'd picked one up. He began to eat one of the meat pies he'd gotten. These are much better! he thought. But it dawned on him that there was a reason he went over to the snack table and a reason he'd picked up his least favourite treat. Colin glanced over at Jarael. She seemed happy. Aye, that's reason enough!

Then Extressia said something. Colin looked up at her and blunk his eyes a few times. "Me!?" he asked. "Oh! Um!" he laughed and whacked the side of his head --- he whispered to himself: "Aye, laddie, she's speirin at us!" He said: "I'm Colin! We met over a skeleton!" Colin's glace flickered towards Jarael then back again. He nudged her gently with his elbow. "Dry old bones in dark arts class!" Colin grinned at the memory.

And then just as suddenly, the grin disappeared and a thoughtful expression took its place. Thoughts churned over in Colin's mind and in his heart, and he understood. "But that's just it, Bloody Tres! You've joggled my head around, and it makes sense now!" Colin thumped the table with his fist and turned in his seat to face Jarael.

For a moment he stared off into nowhere, then said something in almost a kind of chant:

"Waterfalls and words for Eyes of Sky! Words I have words galore;
Tears are water when they fall, from the heart to the Earth;
Words I have and words I'll give; words from me are words to thee; let them be power to thee!
"

"Do you see, Jarael? It's like when I'm fighting against the evil Liche King! He steals what's good and tries to make us sad. And his warriors are everywhere, always trying to hurt people. But I stand against him. I've fought him in the Courtyard and down in the dungeons and even along the edges the Forest. He's tough, but I have to be tougher. Even so, I haven't been able to conquer him fully ---" Colin sighed heavily. "--- He falls in defeat, but never in dismay. And he shows up again now here or now there, ready to fight when I'm weakest."

Colin laughed so happily. "Owooooooo! Did you hear that? Eyes of Sky! I --- I said all that without ---" his voice changed in that moment from exuberance to quiet wonder "--- without a single stammer! And --- and you're right, Jarael --- angels do watch over us. In gale or in calm --- they're all around us!"

Colin turned back towards the table, his eyes bright and his back straight. He said softly: "Bloody hell! Take that, thou wicked Fairy, so contrary!" He giggled softly and turned towards Jarael again, his face right up close to hers. He stuck his tongue out at her as far as it would go, crossing his eyes trying to make sure there were no Fairies on it anymore. "Ngook! R'r'el! Ng 'ok ngy 'ung gack!"

Clair had heard about the errand, she had no idea what to bring, so she had brought everything!
With the satchel that she had bought from Hogsmeade, or, um, been given by a very generous person who was very much allowed in Hogsmeade, she could pit all her books and things in it and carry them down to the great hall. Thinking quickly she first shoved her Bible in her bag, it was about religion right? Well her bible would be perfect, it's leather cover was worn from use, and it's thin paper pages had been loved and used a lot, but Clair felt it was safe to bring it.
Next she put a box that had the cross painted on top, this held all her favourite Bible scripts and teaching, inside if you opened the box, you would find small slips of paper, in twelve Colours, red, orange, yellow, pink, blue, green, violet, ultra purple, lilac pink, teal, mint green, and Navy blue.
there were exactly 365 slips of paper, one for everyday of the year, and y were colour coded, January was Red, February orange, March Yellow and so on.

The next item that would find it's way in her bag was her chain, it was a simple golden coloured chain with a heart that hung off the end, if you opened it up, it would say 'for god so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, so that whoever believes in him shall nit perish, but live a enteral life.'
Of course it did not work at Hogwarts, so Clair did no wear it.
And the last thing she would put in her bag was a stack of parchment and some ink and quills, so she could write notes if she wanted.

Deciding that she wanted to wear something a little different from what she always wore, she rummaged through her outfits and found a dress that was long and almost touching the ground, it had a light pink flower pattern and a white background, it was much more springy then what she always wore.

As she headed down to the Great hall she realized she was a little late, it seemed like a lot of other students where there already, looking around she tried to see if she knew any of them, but if she did, they were hidden. Oh well, time to meet new people!
Walking forward with her satchel on her back she settled down at a chair, not sure what exactly to do she waited, hopefully she could catch on to what everyone was doing soon.

The event took almost no time at all to begin gathering a crowd. Farron walked around idly eavesdropping to make sure everything was going all, but overall it seemed like a success. Groups naturally split up by the tables, by the snack table, chatter about why people came and what they believed in filled the room. Despite the errand not being planned by her, she still felt a swell of pride on behalf of Nigel for the overall success of the event.

At the start of the event a small boy approached in a full suit. He could've been a mini professor by Farron's opinion, he was certainly more dressed up for the occasion than she was. "Oh hello Marius. It's much less formal than that." She gestured to the groups of students already forming. "Just a place for people to chat openly about it. It might be a bit nerve wracking to send people up to the podium to talk about something so personal."

Since she had been wandering the hall for awhile she decided to sit down at the closest table to her, still in range to talk to the boy. "No one has told me about what they believe yet if you'd like to start here." She tried to put on her warmest smile, she knew some students had started to feel overwhelmed and if she could save one of them that would be good enough for her.

Willow was happy to be munching on snacks and eavesdropping, but a girl next to her that had truthfully appeared out of nowhere began to talk to her. Which was fine- it was much less overwhelming than the five people before. "Hi there! I'm doing good. I'm glad I came, there's so many people." She nodded over to the books she had in front of her. "I'm Wiccan and these are some of my books so, feel free to read any of them if you'd like!"

She finally took a good look at the girl next to her, and realized they hadn't been introduced. "I'm Willow Anderson, a third year Hufflepuff. What about you?" She also saw the Star of David necklace that she wore. Willow wasn't really familiar with Judaism, but she knew about it. Her parents made sure that she knew a lot of basics about a lot of things. They never wanted her to feel trapped in Wicca, rather if she wanted to try out any religion they would've been happy to take her to church and all that. But, Willow never felt the desire so it was an open door that was left untouched. "I like your necklace, are you Jewish? I know you guys have a lot of holidays throughout the year like Wicca, it must be hard to be away from home for them. I know for me it is."

When Simon gave his reason for being in a religion as "Understanding", she was more than a bit in awe of him and the way his mind worked. The foundational things all applied, of course, but he took it to another level, and maybe a much more inviting one to any who may be questioning or seeking. It was a thought provoking answer, and when he was finished, she reached back over for his hand, only this time she did not let go.

Her attention was directed away from him when Willow decided to share about her experiences and her books. AngelFyre was most interested in what she had to share because she was rather ignorant of what it meant to be Wiccan. The muggle world was not always kind when it came to its portrayal of Wicca, and AngelFyre figured the Muggles must have it really, really wrong because Willow was just so nice and always so helpful.

"Willow, I hope you will forgive me for my ignorance here, and if I say something idiotic or hurtful, please believe me when I tell you it is not my intent to be either of those things. My lack of imagination may show here, but when I think of a religion, any religion, it seems to be that there are central tenets of belief and a God, or Gods, to pray to and worship. When I think of Wicca, I am uncertain where the loci of belief centers upon or emanates from, if that makes any kind of sense? Is it a reverence for natural systems more than a reverence for a deity, per se?" Hoping she did not sound like too much of an idiot, she was fairly certain Willow would not make her feel as such, even if she were an idiot. Thumbing through Willow's books very gently, AngelFyre very much appreciated their beauty and the personalization of the family history preserved in them. "What marvelous things to have passed down to you."

Her attention was momentarily drawn away from one of the books when she heard the girl with short red hair introduce herself to Colin as Extressia, and then acknowledge AngelFyre's answer. AngelFyre smiled and nodded, still looking through the book. Squeezing Simon's hand, she gently rubbed her thumb in small circles on his palm and just quietly waited to see what would be revealed next.

Judith was happy someone had asked her about her Magen David. Usually, no one notices it because it's a star, which is to most people not so special. But to Judith, it was rather special. It showed her pride and practically what she devoted her life to. "Hey! I'm Judith Cohen, a first-year Ravenclaw!" She said and smiled, happy to meet a new student. Judith was very social but usually didn't make too many friends.

"Ah yes, I'm Ashkenazi Jewish! And yes we do, there tons of holidays, and indeed it's not too easy being away from home during the holidays, sure because the most fun holidays are not during holiday time, so i have to for example celebrate Chanukah here, and i can't celebrate Sukkot at all, which is the worse haha, but in the end i had a choice, and i chose this. It's what makes me the happiest, and once i finish my 7th year at Hogwarts, I can go back to fully concentrating on all the Mitzvot! commandments, There are some holidays that fall over the summer that i can do, and i can still fast and pray so I'm glad that at least i get to do that, without that, i might as well have never come here, because altho i love it, for nothing i would totally abandon Hashem g-d nor my religion.." Judith said and smiled.

Judith looked over at the Wicca books. She wasn't supposed to show any signs of practising other religions, so she would be careful with what she would do or what she would read. "Those book's look pretty cool? What is Wicca actually? I don't usually learn about other religious so!" She said smiling. "Oh you mentioned your religion has a lot of holidays as well, which are those then?" She asked as well.
