Something Wicked
It was becoming late. It wasn't past curfew but it was beginning to get closer and closer to curfew. Still a little bit of day light left in the sky.
Eri sat on the grounds reading a book completely ignoring the time of day. It wouldn't be the first time she stayed past curfew. And hopefully not the last.
The Ravenclaw sat alone on the grounds. Most of the kids that were on the grounds had left to go to their common rooms. The rest of the mm were getting ready to leave. Since it was getting late out people were getting ready for bed. Not Eri she just sat on the grounds reading her book. Nobody cared to tell her it was time to go in or even glance her way. She liked that. Since she wanted to sit and finish reading her book.
The brunette was getting a little tired, but not enough to fall asleep. She heard footsteps from somewhere behind her, but she didn't want to look up yet. She needed to finish her page in her book. She read one more page and the footsteps kept getting closer and Eri looked up as the footsteps got closer.

Something Wicked
Levi had just had a reasonably bad day. Arguments, black eye and a bunch of other bruises around his body. Groaning slightly as he walked past the people going inside to bed, Levi spotted Eri on her own. He started to walk forwards, wincing at every step. After a fair amount of wincing, Levi tapped Eri on the shoulder.
"Uhh, why you out here?" Levi asked Eri. "It's nearly curfew."
She could easily ask him the same question, but Levi skipped over that thought. She was reading a book, which was normal enough.
Levi sat down next to Eri, and just sat in silence. He wasn't sure what she did. Read her book more? The clock ticked closer to curfew, until Levi was tingling with dread. He didn't want him nor Eri to get in trouble for being out so late.
"Should probably go inside," said Levi. "Otherwise the professor's will be mad." Levi thought he'd made a good impression on the Professors up 'till now, he didn't want to throw that away. Though he may be wrong, this was his opinion. Still, he didn't want someone to be in trouble because he'd left them.
Also, the forest looked very creepy in the dark...

Erilooked up at Levi. He had a black eye she probably shouldn't ask about that. "I'm just reading. And I should ask the same about you. Why are you out here?" She shut her book. Why couldn't she just be left alone in peace? She shook her head. "Not if you know where to hide. Then the prefects, head boy, and head girl who are parroting can't find you." She said. Well now it was pretty obvious that she had done this sort of thing before.
Now that she got a good look at Levi it looked like he had a lot of bruises and she wondered what happened. "What happened?" She said indicating his bruises and black eye. Did he get beat up by somebody? She didn't know that. So maybe she could stay out here a little longer but Levi might make her go inside. At least now she knows it is almost curfew. She already knew that, but somebody came to tell her that as if she didn't know. Which was nice and annoying at the same time. She knew what time it was and wasn't planning on going inside anytime soon even if someone made her.

"Hiding? That's your grand plan?" Levi frowned at her. "Where would that be then, Miss Little Know It All?" The boy raised an eyebrow at her. He was joking, partially. He was actually a good follower for rules, but he had to be in the serenity of the grounds.
"I got in a fight with a Slytherin," Levi said to Eri's question. "Got a bit hurt," he said. "What are you reading?" Levi attempted to look at the book's cover and the title.
Levi frowned slightly. Somehow, whilst sitting, his body lost balance and he fell into Eri. Uh oh, thought Levi, pulling himself away.
"I, uh, sorry," he said rather quickly. He had gone slightly red, and stood. He began to walk away, when a twig snapped in the forest. Turning around slowly, Levi peered into it to see darkness.
"Imagination?" he mumbled to himself. "I have a good one, people said..." There was another twig snapped. Levi began to get frightened; he was still jumpy from his fight earlier.
"Oh god, oh god, oh god..." Levi kept repeating, curling into a ball on the ground. "Oh god, oh god, oh god."
A dark shape in the forest seemed to move.

She looked at him. A know it all? She knew he was joking. "In the bushes by the Lake. Where else could we hide?" She said as if he should know that but she was just joking.
"A fight with a Slytherin? What did you do to get him that mad at you?" She didn't expect him to get into a fight with a slytherin and get that badly beat up.
When he tried to read the cover her book she stifled a laugh. The cover was worn and there were no letters on the cracked leather surface. "A book. I'm kidding my great grand fathers journal passed down to my grandfather, then to my father. There wasn't room left for me to write in it when I got it." When he fell into her she laughed watching his face get red.
She straightened up when she heard the sticks cracking. They weren't his imagination. Eri stared at him ad he curled into a ball. So he was brace enough to fight a slytherin and not a mysterious creature. "Get up I can't handle something that big on my own." She watched the dark shape move at the edge of the forest.
