Okay. What I'm about to say next might confuse some people. Two totally different emotions.

First, BLACK VEIL BRIDES IS DROPPING A NEW MUSIC VIDEO AT MIDNIGHT AND I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!

Second, could I just...now that my small amount of excitement is out of the way, can I just say that I'm actually really, really struggling right now? I'm empty and sad with grief. I don't know what makes me truly happy anymore. Even the hobbies I've had that were fun before don't really make me happy now. Not much of anything really does.
I'm tired of crying. I'm tired of getting emotional over anything that reminds me of my dad. But I feel like I'm grieving the wrong way. Should I just let my eyes fill with tears every 30 minutes or should I distract myself and force things out of my mind so I can go about my life? Great, now I'm crying again.

I just feel really, really, REALLY lost and alone. And empty. Very, very empty.

And now I'm going to throw in another glimmer of happiness in my life. Small, but big enough for me.

My Chemical Romance released a new single, their first one in 8 years. I'll have to listen to it tomorrow, but this brings me a little bit of joy to see my favorite emo band making new music.

That's so cool! I'll take a listen. Even though I don't listen to stuff like that, lots of people are saying it sounds good, so why not?
Edited to say that I can relate to the music thing. Most of my favorite bands/singers release their songs before i was born or when I was a toddler and it makes me wish I were born earlier. And then they don't update for six years RIP

I'm so glad that you're finding something that makes you happy in these grim times. I know sometimes it feels like you're all alone in this, but you're not. Lots of people have experienced grief, and they get you. There is no 'wrong' way to grieve- as long as it doesn't hurt anybody.
I know sometimes you're not ready, but if you are, I encourage talking to someone- because once again, you're not alone, never will be alone.

Ari, I hope you find peace. You’ve been through a lot and with all the upcoming changes, stress probably is adding to everything. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Let yourself heal in time and most importantly, hang in there.
