Yeah, just wanted to make sure that was all cleared up and understood before we moved on so that it didn't happen again.

One thing that November Morsus was learning on this fateful evening, was that things could always, always get worse. Just when he thought the situation had become salvageable, downright manageable, even dropping rumours of an even more secluded place where he might be able to ply his wicked trade in peace. All he had to do was stay atop the toilet, and not make a sound.

It was just then that all hell broke loose.

The room suddenly filled with light and sound, the initial blast of it knocking November near off his feet. His heart sunk and he knew, he knew, that that much commotion would surely call the attention of more and more and more, and that if a teacher or staff came to investigate, they would not be satisfied just leaving the locked stalls alone.

So he had to act, and act fast.

His ears still rung from the blast, so he knew everyone else's did as well. That meant he could move without them hearing him. Quickly, he rifled through his pockets, seeing what he had to work with. One sandwich in a plastic bag, hardly touched, and some spellotape.

He gulped as he recognized what exactly he'd need to do.

First, he bade a fond farewell to the sandwich, (it was obvious he wasn't going to eat it at this point anyway,) and released it into the toilet below. It was the bag he needed. He then took his tools, his poor, beloved, perfectly clean tools, shoved them into the bag, then sealed it up tight. That would have to do... Finally, he removed the lid of the toilet's tank as quietly and carefully as he could, taped the bag with the tools securely to its underside, and replaced it.

He'd had a lot of practice hiding things in St. Romuald's, and this was one place that people never looked. His tools, and his secret, would be safe.

Once that was done, there was the matter of what was going on outside his four little walls of secrecy. He quite frankly had no idea, and at this point he wasn't so sure that he wanted to know... But curiosity overcame him, and he peered at the feet which were visible under the door of the stall. Was-... Was one of them bleeding? Oh no. Ohhhhh no.

And this was why she locked the door.

This didn't go exactly to plan, no one was supposed to get hurt- only scared but as the smoke cleared and the blinding lights faded, this was not the case. Her eyes fell on the Tall Boy who was propped up against the sink. What was he saying? She couldn't tell but she knew he was shouting. We couldn't have that.

The Redhead Girl suddenly burst out of the bathroom stalls, she saw the scalpel before Xailah did, and without hesitation ripped it out of the Tall Boys foot. Ouch. Some droplets of blood spattered Xailah across the face, and she tried frantically to wipe it off with a gloved hand. Immediately her mind went to the possibility of the boy having Aids or worse- Cooties, she didn't know what "Cooties" were but they sure seemed to be easy to contract around here.

The sudden act of the scalpel being ripped out of the Tall Boys foot only resulted in more shouting from the Tall Boy. "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! You're going to get us all in trouble! Is that what you want- Oh don't you dare tell the professors! I'll make you a dead man if you do- don't think I wont!" She wrestled the injured boy to the ground and tried to put a hand over his mouth. "Boy, don't make me smother you."

She sat beside the Tall Boy in silence for a little bit, thinking of what to do next. "Look, I had no intention of hurting you, I only wanted to startle you so you could drop the scalpel- and you did- obviously" She irritably bopped him on the head. "-I do have to say it was almost worth it though, I mean I haven't seen a light show like that since I tried to reanimate my sisters dead goldfish!" Xailah let out a small chuckle. She looked down at the growing pool of blood by the boys foot-"Oh man, I hope you had no intention of going to the Blossomfest Ball."

Xailah looked up at the Redhead Girl, and the Gryffindor boy. "Do either of you have some sort of medical training." She honestly didn't think either of them did, but it never hurt to ask. "-and if you don't do you know someone that might?" She specifically stared at the Gryffindor boy this time, she knew that he had some sort of information that she didn't have- why else would he have gone to the Crying Boys stall as soon as he had entered the bathrooms-strange.

Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....

I'm going to take the liberty of answering since Kathleen already did a ways up. If you mind, I can delete it and post later.

"Woah! Okay," Green said, stepping back, hands raised. "Now, this is all getting a bit out of hand, isn't it?" he said softly, voice reasonable. His eyes slid from face to face, gauging reactions as if measuring reagents as they slid into a cauldron to mix. He had precious little control over these people, and the situation was volatile. If he couldn't slow things down - boom.

He took in a quiet breath, remembering the other vial on his pocket, the one filled with thick, golden fluid. His father's gift, and his last resort. Blast it all, he had hoped he'd be able to save that for something much more dire, but this situation had gone quite far enough. Clearing his throat, he spoke with calm confidence.

"Naturally, I can see why you'd be angry. You probably weren't expecting something like this to happen, and with the angle of that cut on your foot, it's clear nobody is going to believe that anyone did this to you but yourself," he shrugged, "Unless you'd like to accuse a house-elf of getting on its knees and stabbing you. But I personally bear you no ill will for taking the scalpel, even if it was not yours, and in any case, I have a solution. While I do not have much medical training," he said, looking at the golden-eyed girl, "I do have a healing potion on hand." He took a step back from the three of them, flashing the golden potion at them from his pocket. "And given these unfortunate circumstances, I would be perfectly happy to share and alleviate some of that pain. Provided, of course, that we are all going to be friends," he said, locking eyes with the Slytherin. "Because if we're all going to get detention anyway, I might as well keep it." He slipped the potion back into his pocket. (He really might as well. He hadn't been sent here to get a perfect record; he had been sent to actually learn something. And how a York acted under stress was something.)

Green took a clean handkerchief from his pocket - unmonogrammed, just a bit of cloth - and held it out to the Slytherin boy. "Now, why don't we get that shoe and sock off, and press this to the wound while you drink," said Green gently, kneeling by him. "They'll fix up just fine with a bit of hydrogen peroxide and a repair charm, and then we can talk about mutual interests in a mutually beneficial way, hmm? Or we can all suffer further. I'm prepared for either possibility," he shrugged.

There was no way in hell he was giving up November at this point. The boy could barely admit he liked gardening, much less stitching up open wounds.

Charles screamed in pain as the scalpel was pulled from his foot. The pain causing him to cringe and bite his tongue. He had not felt this kind of pain in some time not since he once got a nasty cut that time on his finger while trying to cut some onions. But even that was nothing compared to the pain he was feeling in his foot. Who in their right mind would pull the scalpel from his foot and for what reason. He could not see the person because of the blinding light but he only knew someone did because of the pain that it caused him. He then heard yelling all of the sudden. Someone telling him to shut up and then he found himself on his back and some girl laying on top of him trying to place her hand over his mouth. But it did not last long and now the girl was beside him. He turned and looked at her and growled again

“ Just who do you think you are!. Just who do you think you are for assaulting me and pushing me down to the ground. I have done nothing to you or anyone in here and this is what happens to me. All of this just because i picked up the scalpel.. What in the world did you think i was going to use it for ?He yelled at the girl before sitting up and laying his head against the sink. Oh he was going to go to a professor alright and get this lot in trouble. Of course he could also use for another reason as well. But regardless he will gloat when he sees them all in trouble for stunt. How to explain how he found himself in the abandoned bathrooms though. Oh he knew he would make up some story that would explain that.

“ Is that a threat you just made girl. Do you think by threatening me that will do you any good. I had no intention of telling the professors anything but after that.. I might just reconsider “ He groaned as he sat up more and looked around. Finally the blinding light was clear and he could see in the bathroom. He heard another voice speak now and he groaned in pain. He saw that the person that spoke was from his own house. He was curious now why the boy decided not to help him as he thought housemates should always defend one another.

“ I think I can manage without the healing potion. Besides why in the world should i trust you after what you allowed to happen. I thought those of the same house protected each other. And yet you watched and did nothing. “ He slowly got to his feet and groaned in pain as he tried to put pressure on his foot. But the pain was too much and he lifted his foot up slowly and began to hop towards the door of the bathroom. But before he made it to the door he fell as the pain was too much and he once again leaned against one of the sinks.

“ Nobody has told me what brought you all here to begin with. Surely something did or you would not have attacked me like you did. I mean why else would you hurt me if you were not protecting something important “ He asked softly as he tried to not think of the pain coming from his foot. Oh he will get his revenge one day on all of these students that attacked him. That he knew.

November winced as he saw the scalpel snatched from the shoe by his stall, blood following. So it did sink through the shoe and hit skin, and worse yet, was being removed right away. One of the first things he'd learned was to keep an impaling object in place until the patient was removed to somewhere stable, where a doctor could repair the damage safely. Otherwise all the blood would come out, and come out it most certainly did...

He cringed further as he saw a figure-the girl with the umbrella, he recognized-tackle the injured boy. He could only guess in horror at what kinds of germs and nasties the wound had been exposed to at this point, but did he dare expose himself to try and come to the rescue? After all, when the prospective patient had found his scalpel, he seemed very eager to punish, to report. Would even the best assistance dissuade him from that? Somehow, November didn't think so.

But before he had to think too long on the decision, a very familiar and very beloved voice spoke up, came to his rescue. Green. He promised a healing potion, tried to exchange it for the lot of them getting off scot-free, and November prayed to any of the Dark beings that would ever care to listen to a creature like himself that the other would take up the offer.

But of course, like all his prayers, it went unanswered.

The injured boy was furious, and, quite frankly, November could see why. He was attacked incredibly suddenly, usual last-ditch measures being snatched at the first attempt. But while November's only part in this crime was owning the scalpel in the first place, somehow, he doubted the other Slytherin would see it that way, so staying hidden in his metal-walled sanctuary seemed the wisest choice for the moment.

But how long would it last?

The Slytherin boy knew they were protecting something, something big, and that something was obviously him. He could feel those metal walls closing in on him, and he gulped.

Trust issues. That was it- the Tall Boy had trust issues, another possible weakness; She made a mental note of that. This was kind of like peeling apart a onion, each time a layer was removed, a new one was revealed, in conclusion the Tall Boy was nothing more than a onion to her.

The Tall Boy had not accepted the healing potion from the Gryffindor Boy; Xailah clicked her tongue and shook her head in response to the action of refusal. "It would have been wise to accept the boys kind offer- after all, you're in no position to be a choosy beggar."It was a shame the Tall Boy couldn't be threatened to not tell the professors. Good thing there was always a plan B- bribery. That plan had to be put into action later though.
“ Nobody has told me what brought you all here to begin with. Surely something did or you would not have attacked me like you did. I mean why else would you hurt me if you were not protecting something important “

Good question, she didn't exactly know the answer to it- or maybe she wasn't up to explaining the fact that she had been following another student; not only would he want to know who and why, he would without a doubt think she was crazy- if he didn't think so already. So instead she gave a half-truth "What brought me here was my own curiosity, I've never been in these bathrooms before, so I wanted to check them out. I always come out after hours to look for lost things- and it seems like the only lost things in here are lost students." She grimaced at the Tall Boy.

"And as for attacking you- well I was only looking out for my fellow peers. I didn't know what your intentions were when you had the scalpel. I think you would do the same thing if someone who you deemed a threat had something to hurt you or other people with. After all, it is better to be safe than sorry, Correct?"She felt her half truths seemed justified enough, but plan B still had to be put off- at least until everyone was in a calmer state of mind. "Oh! It just dawned on me, that I never introduced myself. I am Xailah Alptraum; delighted to meet your acquaintance..." She extended a small gloved hand to each of the students in hopes they would accept her handshake.

Just a quick note as the OP/de facto manager of the thread: Since I know schedules can get kinda busy and might not always allow time to post, but we also don't want to leave everyone hanging forever, I'mma allow everybody three days since the last post to respond before the post order automatically skips to the next in line! But don't worry if you get skipped, as soon as you come back you can go right back to your usual spot in the turn order. . w . Thank you and carry on~

Green tilted his head slowly as he watched York's reply, the interplay with Xailah, his feints and jabs. He seemed to be taking the position that so long as they didn't know whether he was going to tell the professors, he might have power over them. Perhaps he expected them to bow and scrape, try to salvage what might be left of their reputation with him. But Green doubted this would be fruitful for either he or Xailah; he could sense the hate in this boy, his humiliation. It was too similar to his own. No, York didn't want to be friends. York wanted to bite.

Green suppressed a smile. How exciting.

"As you like it," he said softly, slight pureblood accent suffusing his voice; it was easy to imagine how the boy had mistaken his house, particularly in this dim lighting. It sounded as if he was unaware that Green had popped the fizzbang, as well; he might not even have known it was a fizzbang. These things were in his favor. "I am sorry to see you in such a predicament - that looks painful," he nodded at the foot, unable to stop himself from grinding it in a little. "But he's quite right, he has no idea what might be in this vial," Green nodded at Xailah, slipping it back into his pocket. "I could offer a demonstration, but... it sounds as if you'd like to handle this on your own," he shrugged. "As for why I wouldn't stop it... what do you believe I could have done? You were holding a scalpel, a banana was thrown at you, and then there was a flash. I could no more see what was going to happen than you could. I'm just worried about how you're going to get to the nurse's office," he shook his head.

Leaning forward, he smiled thinly as Xailah, shook her hand. "Nice to meet you, Miss Alptraumm. Although a shame about the circumstances," he clicked his tongue, looking back at York. He could tell her his name later; he didn't want to volunteer any information York didn't already have, though York might have remembered him from the ceremony just as he had remembered York. He'd have to wait and see. "Are you sure you don't want that potion? We could also try wrapping the foot to stop the bleeding somewhat. Luckily, the wound looks very simple to fix, for someone with the proper training." He didn't really want to offer, but he managed to squeeze an approximation of sincerity into his voice.
