The thin, diminutive boy let out a sigh of relief as he watched Xailah spring into action, settling against the bathroom wall quietly to watch. Here was an unexpected twist, her jumping in to claim the scalpel; Green couldn't imagine a reason behind that save for the goodness of her heart.

Or a desire to capture November's gratitude and use it to extract some favor from him at a later time. That's what he might do.

Well. Whatever. The two were effectively close enough. And the lie was fairly well crafted in a tense situation, too, which earned his admiration. He had seen scalpels used in potions class before, and though it was up a few flights, the bathroom was en route between the dungeons and the Gryffindor common room. No, not bad at all. Green immediately found himself liking this girl.

His eyebrows rose and fell as the Ravenclaw girl suddenly calmed, concern blooming on her face where panic had been. Another pleasant surprise; he listened to her explanation with interest, then watched with one brow furrowed as she took the stall next to November... and... oh, she wasn't lying, she really did need to use the... hmm. Do girls do that, take the stall directly next to another person when there are others available? They are always going into bathrooms together, maybe it's something to do with that, he grunted to himself quietly in thought, subconsciously shrugging one shoulder.

Turning his attention back to... yes, that was York, wasn't it? He remembered the name York, it was one of the old Pureblood families... he watched curiously, waiting to see what he would do with the golden-eyed girl's explanation. He likely wouldn't accept even the most reasonable one in the world if it didn't suit his purposes. And Green wanted to know his purposes.

Charles turned his attention to the Gryffindor students question and chuckled. “ Do you honestly think i am going to believe that answer do you girl ?. That a professor would allow you to take a scalpel out of the room so you could clean it in this abandoned bathroom,. Unless of course the professor is muggle born than it would make sense those people are always careless when it comes to good magical practice “ He gestured around him taking in the bathroom once more. He began to wonder again if the myth of the ghost that haunts the bathroom was true or if the other students knew about it. What would they do if he told them a story his father told him about a girl who moans all day in an abandoned bathroom and does not like when people enter it. Would they believe him or would they think he was lying?. Does he dare shout out to the ghost and hope they respond in kind?.

He walked over to the scalpel and picked it up. He looked at it closely taking it in before turning around to face the girl that asked him the question. He began to play with the scalpel in his fingers turning it around gently and carefully as he did not want to by mistake nip himself with the instrument “ What brings me to this bathroom. Where Io i begin? Well for starters the loud screams that i heard from it that did not sound like it came from its resident ghost. Oh you do not know about moaning myrtle, do you? Well, I heard she is not a fan of. Gryffindors. Apparently, the brave lion's house liked to. Well, bully the poor girl. But that does not answer your question “He said with a laugh as he walked around the girl the scalpel still in his hand. He noticed one of the girls rush over to a bathroom stall almost like regardless of what was happening if they needed to go there was nothing going to stop them. He walked back over to where he picked up the scalpel and leaned against the sink as he folded his arms across his chest making sure again the scalpel did not nip him as he did so.

“ I suppose what brought me here as well besides the loud screams was because of a story i was once told by my father. Oh, what a story it is, Something about a hidden chamber or something like that. I wanted to check it out myself.. You know to see if its true or not. That is what brought me to this abandoned bathroom beside the screaming. “ He said softly almost in a whisper as he looked at the Gryffindor girl and the other boy that was in the room as well. What he said was well partially true in a way. He had heard of the stories of a hidden chamber and wondered if they were indeed true. What he was not expecting though was to have other students already in bathroom before he could get a chance to investigate himself. Oh well it was time to have a bit of fun with them. Now he was curious what the responses will be to what he said.

Sealed in the cramped, dusty quarters of a long-forgotten toilet stall, November awaited his doom. One hand was shoved tight in his mouth to keep the sound of his tears as quiet as possible, his body rigid in the effort not to make a move, not to make a sound. But it was only a matter of time, now. Soon his transgressions would be revealed, his hope demolished. Soon everyone would know his name, his face, how bad he was.

And then, a miracle happened.

It was that same catlike purr he'd been first faced with earlier, and she was lying. Lying for him. Shock suffused him, sheer confusion. Why would she do that? She'd just called him Dr. Frankenstein, which was a cuttingly accurate observation. Truth be told, if he could become Dr. Frankenstein, if he could take the discarded parts that no one wanted and craft himself a man who would never leave his side.... Well, when the other children dreamed of ponies on Christmas day, November dreamed of this.

But, if she knew what he was, could spot it so easily, then why would she lie for him? Possibilities swirled in his mind: Maybe she wanted something from him, maybe she just wanted the glory of reporting him herself, or, maybe, the most forbidden and impossible concept of them all... Maybe she understood.

No. He couldn't allow himself to think it, hope would inevitably lead to carelessness, to crushing disappointment. And besides, there was still the matter of the others.

And there was one now, darting into the stall next to his. This must have been the one who screamed, and her close proximity made him go silent and still once more. His heart pounded so loud he was sure they all could hear, as her words replayed themselves over and over and over in his head: You're mad. You've hurt people. You're mad. You're mad. You're mad.

Her words came again, not the haunting shrieks of his own memory this time, but whispered from the stall. They were kinder this time, curious, but after he'd seen the horror so plain and clear as day on her face, nothing in the world could convince him this wasn't a trap. The children at St. Romuald's had tried to trap him before, baiting him with kind words and offers of friendship only to corner him, betray his secrets. For that matter, so had the adults, claiming in public that he could come to them with anything, and then meeting him with harsh punishments any time he tried.

No, he wasn't falling for that one. Not anymore.

So he remained frozen, curled even tighter around himself, not daring to move enough to look at the note that slid beneath the wall of his stall. And then, a third voice spoke.

At first, his stomach flipped, the lie the others had so carefully crafted seen through in an instant. The tiny flame of hope he'd just barely begun to kindle died in an instant.

But just as quickly, another one ignited. The things this boy was saying... Claims of a hidden chamber. A hidden chamber. Exactly what he needed to hide his medical practice, and any other secret he wished to have, away from the prying eyes that were everywhere in the school. Even just a place that no one else knew to be alone in, well, that was a dream come true.

So he leaned in further, hardly dared to even breathe, and he listened.

Kathleen bit her lip. Had the boy not seen her note? Had he not heard her whisper? She worried and thought, so engrossed in the mystery that she didn't notice it at first. He had stopped sobbing. Almost no noise came from the strange student's cubicle, no chokes, no sobs, no snuffles. Just a shuffling of robes, as though he was moving.
She pressed her ear to the partition, listening for more sounds. But nothing came. It was a tense atmosphere, as if... as if he was concentrating on something. Kathleen still heard the others talking, maybe... maybe this was it? In what the stranger was seemingly so engrossed? She also listened carefully, now being able to distinguish the words. "Oh, what a story it is, Something about a hidden chamber or something like that. I wanted to check it out myself.. You know to see if its true or not. That is what brought me to this abandoned bathroom beside the screaming.“ It was a deep, sonore voice, probably the one of the tall Slytherin prefect. A shiver ran down the young Ravenclaw's spine. It brought a memory to her mind... Once, in the far corner of Flourish & Blotts, she had found an ancient book, with a grubby leather-bound spine and spatters on the front which looked horribly like blood. But, curious as she was, she had opened the thick volume, soon engrossing herself in a tale about a certain chamber hidden in Hogwarts - a chamber which contained unspeakable evil. A monster which killed students. Probably teachers, too. And most important - the answer was said to be in this very bathroom. The guy seemed knowledgeable. What if he really wanted to release the creature? Kathleen's eyes were wide with fear.

Fear. The driving force for most peoples actions, and one of the few emotions Xailah wasn't quite familiar with. The Tall Boy had played the fear card, and Xailah might have been scared if Hogwarts ghost weren't in abundance.

Xailah observed the Tall Boy, searching for the slightest break in his confident persona. What made him vulnerable? Could it be his curiosity?-Maybe, maybe she could use that against him. This boy was obviously very proud- so pride was another option. She quickly dismissed her thoughts when the Tall Boy went and picked up the scalpel from the sink.

The redhead girl ran to the stall next to the weeping boys, she must have really had to go. This wasn't a good time to be using the restrooms, she thought. Or maybe the redhead wasn't relieving herself, maybe she went to coax the boy in the other stall out. Made sense, but now wasn't the time to check.

The current task at hand was to get the Tall Boy to drop the scalpel. She watched hypnotically as he skillfully twirled the object in his hand, this made her a bit uncomfortable, but she didn't flinch or draw backwards- she just watched, hoping that the boy would make a wrong move and cut himself on the scalpels sharp blade.

To her disappointment the scalpel never made contact with his skin, she watched him lean up against the sinks. Cool, calm and collected. Thats when he said something that peaked Xailahs interest.
Xailah clicked her tongue and chuckled at this. She wasn't sure if she liked this boy or not; his sophisticated response to the situation at hand made him admirable, but the snobbish attitude killed the admiration."The chamber you're speaking of- I know where it is. The only problem is that you can't get into it unless you know Parseltongue, or have a House Elf who is willing to take you there....and..I suppose you could get in through the pipes too....I highly doubt it though. You're ego is probably so big you most likely wont be able to fit into the pipes."

He still had that damn scalpel, and at this point it was irritating the heck out of Xailah. Xailah grumbled and pulled a small bag out of her umbrella. It was a velvety drawstring bag; she began rummaging through it. She found what she was looking for- a banana (she forgets how it got in her inventory) and a box of Exploding Whizz Poppers. Before she did anything else she locked the door to the bathrooms. Then she simultaneously threw the banana at the Tall boy and the box of Exploding Whizz Poppers at the Gryffindor Boy. "Think fast!" she smirked.

She prayed that the Gryffindor boy had at least some idea of what to do with the Whizz Poppers (and she hoped he knew how to catch). The sudden attack with the banana might make the boy drop the scalpel- or theres always the chance of the banana missing, triggering him, and then making him retaliate negatively. And if that is the case...then we just might have to see how pure his blood really is.

Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....

Green's brow knotted as he saw the golden-eyed girl (hereso named forevermore) turn to lock the door. What was she doing? Sure, she had locked everyone else out, but she had also locked them all in, precluding a dash to the door. Then he saw that flashing, golden gaze slip to the scalpel in York's hand, not with fear, but with intent, and some inkling of her plan clicked.

Oh. Oh, no.

So when she whipped about to toss him what proved to be the small, brightly colored canister of an exploding whizz popper, the world seemed to slow for a moment, the firework falling into his hand as if through the weightlessness of space.

A surge of ice shot through him as he realized what had to happen here.

He imagined the howler that would come in a week when his father heard, the weeks locked in his room and hungry over the winter vacation. The lectures. The glares.

But Morsus did so dearly love his knives.

Green barely got out a sigh before he aimed the Whizz Popper and let it fly. Oh, well. Networking wasn't everything...

Exploding whizz poppers were physically harmless, and not too big or fancy as fireworks went, but they were loud, and they were bright. Green turned and covered his eyes with an arm before leaping forward into the screaming of swirl of bursting light, squinting at the ground, trying to spot where the scalpel might fly. Better have some bandages left over for me, Silky, he thought to himself bitterly as he went for it, arms outstretched.

Totally up to you guys (Xailah and Charles) where the scalpel goes and who catches it; Green doesn't need to be the one to make the catch, and Xailah might have had the chance to move first, anyway.

Charles listened to the Gryffindor girl speak and something she said made him smile as she given another part of the puzzle his parents did not know.. So that was key to unlocking the chamber then. He would need to learn how to speak Parseltongue or have a house elf take him.. The latter seems to be easier than the former. Just as he was about to respond to the girl. She reached down into her bag and threw a banana at him.. Which caught him off guard as it hit him square in the chest area causing him to stagger and hit his back on the sink. But he was still holding onto the scalpel in his hand tightly even after being hit by the banana. He growled at the girl now angry that she would dare attack him for no apparent reason. What had he done to her. He answered her question truthfully.

“ you stupid girl I know the location of the chamber is in this bathroom but thank you for providing me a way to access it now. Well, two ways of accessing it with the latter being easier than the former. I have done nothing to you and yet you attack me for what may I ask ?. I picked up this scalpel not to do any harm but too “ he could not finish his sentence when he was blinded by a bright light and a loud noise. Causing him to jump from fright. The scalpel leaving his hand as he squinted to see in the now bright bathroom. He bumped into the sink behind him the only thing preventing him from falling flat on his butt. He let out a scream of pain as he felt something sharp stab him in the foot. The scalpel had landed blade down into the top of his foot

“ What is the meaning behind all of this. “ He groaned in pain as he shouted into the blinding light “ I came here to investigate the screams that I heard coming from the bathroom. I wanted to make sure everyone was fine.. “ He let out another groan “ Sure i came here also looking for the hidden chamber that is rumored to be in this bathroom. But I was not expecting to be attacked because of it. Do you realized what you have done, Wait until the professors hear about this little stunt of yours “ He groaned again in pain and sank to the floor, still blinded by the light and defined by the loud bang. He looked down and saw that his foot from where the scalpel landed was bleeding

A blinding light exploded in the bathroom. Kathleen shrieked and shut her eyes in fear, but when nothing happened to her, she dared to open them again. Due to the loud cracking noise - it sounded like fireworks? - she could not distinguish any actual words, but heard a lot of angry, loud voices outside the restrooms. "What on earth is going on out there?", she shouted, waiting for a response. One of the fireworks, presumably Exploding Whiz Poppers, banged right in front of her door, which made her shriek once more and she recoiled before laying her hand onto the lock in the door. It swung open, crashing against the wall, as the Ravenclaw girl ran out and stared at the bizarre scene.
Suddenly, she saw a red liquid. Spatters of blood on the floor. The young student squinted, where did they come from? It was terribly hard to see with all this blinding light the crackers created. Finally, Kathleen seemed to be able to retrace them to the Slytherin boy's foot, seemingly, the sharp scalpel had cut it. She darted forward and yanked out the gleaming instrument, hoping the student wouldn't be too angry. But after all, it belonged to the boy in the only cubicle remaining shut, the one who had been here first, didn't it? Even though she still disapproved of the use of the scalpel - except maybe for medical purposes, had he actually been helping someone? - she pondered giving it back.
Suddenly, she heard a noise. Something right behind her. And it wasn't a stray firework.
