Reena strolled down the corridors with her mini back pack (that contained her now-finished homework) and a textbook in her clutch. She had just been at the library, finishing homework for one of her classes. A fellow Gryffindor had kindly let Reena borrow their notes to copy from a lesson. During that time Reena had been running late so she never got the notes. Now that she finished her homework, she could return the book to the girl. She met the girl in the common room, opening her bag to get the notebook. "Thanks so much, your handwriting is super neat by the way. " The student waited patiently for their notebook while Reena searched a bit more frantically. The student frowned. "You don't have it?" Reena frowned and waved their hand dismissively. "well go find it! Those are my notes you know!" Reena got to her feet and swung her bag onto her back.

"Alright, alright. I'll be right back, hold on." Reena walked out of the common room, heading back to the library once more. She most likely just left it on the table- she was bad at remembering things. She lost things so many times. Heck, she lost a cat in a classroom before. On the way, she paused and hesitated. She could take a *quick detour* right? She turned on her heel and ran to the kitchens, asking the house elves to make her boba tea. "Make that two- actually- please and thank you!" She laughed nervously and rubbed her arm, waiting awkwardly. Still, the house elves finished quickly and happily gave her the drinks. "Yay! Thanks! Okay bye! I like your- uh- your outfit. By the way." She scurried out the the drinks in her arms, taking a sip from one of them every now and then.

She reached the library and turned her body, trying to block the drinks from view. She was just taking a quick stop in the library- it wasn't like she was staying with the drinks. She headed to where she was sitting. A table over, there was a boy sitting there that was not there before. She eyed him, heading to her table and grabbing the book. She shoved it in her bag and looked at the boy again.

The only word that came to mind was beautiful.

He seemed out of place, in this library. He looked like he belonged in another world- and he looked like he wished he did at the moment. Hastily, she grabbed a random book from the shelf and walked over. "Hi there! I'm here reading this book- uh" She looked at the cover of the random book. "Learning about how to charm your cheese. Um, yeah. It's really- gouda." She shifted and smiled at her own pun. "By the way- I really really like your outfit. It is SO cool." And here she was, wearing her wide-legged dad jeans and her pale blue sweater.

She sat down and eyed the boy. "Do you ever smile?" She finally asked. "You know what? Have my other bubble tea. When I'm sad, I drink boba." She slid the untouched drink over to him, happy that she had asked for two.

Color had returned to Draven's cheeks in the past couple weeks. He'd started eating again at least, and his sleep schedule had slowly gotten back on track. It was still a fitful couple hours spent staring at the curtains drawn around his bed, but at least Deimos was there to keep him company.

He'd been at the table for the last three hours, and his hand was starting to cramp up. Instead of the shaky, careless script which had stretched out over his parchment paper over the past few weeks, the regular elegant scrawl was back, black slanted letters shining in the gloomy library light. He could have used a break.

Draven sighed, setting the pen down. He'd sat at this very table with Juni only a few months prior, laughing about Edgar Allan Poe. It hurt to think about it.

He supposed it didn't matter. Juni was gone somewhere. Better a clean cut than watching them slowly grow apart, the letters they sent each other get shorter and more spars-
"Hi there! I'm here reading this book- uh"
Draven startled, his head snapping up.

Before him was a girl. A pretty one at that. Draven didn't have the energy for poetry, but anything he could have thought up wouldn't have been able to do her justice. He gave her a pale smile, twisting the cap back on his inkwell as she spoke. It was more politeness than anything that made him stand up, but he didn't have the chance to invite her a seat or even help her down. For she'd slid into the chair opposite to his, planting a cup of something before him.

"Thank you?" he gave the drink a cautious look. Black spheres were swimming through the thick liquid, bobbing up and down in the slight movement of the cup. "I'm not sad-..." He wasn't fooling anybody. Dray's eyes flitted from between the strange girl to the strange drink to the pile of parchment paper still waiting to be filled with notes.

Well, he supposed anything was better than essays.

Sitting back down, he wrapped his hands around the mug, pulling it closer. "Thank you." Lifting it up, he took a small sip. His eyes widened just a fraction of an inch.

"O h"

"This is wonderful!"

Draven took another sip, a tiny smile blooming across his face. "Wow it's actually quite lovely? What is it?"

Reena pursed her lips and raised an unconvinced eyebrow at the boy, almost slightly offended that this boy assumed she was stupid enough to believe him. "Mhm. Right. You're not fooling anybody." She absent-mindedly flipped through the book (How to Charm your cheese) that she had randomly picked up. Some of the things in the book actually looked good, surprisingly. It could have been worse. She could have picked up the most boring book in the world and pretended she was interested in it. She sat up straight at one picture as she let the boy debate taking a sip of the tea. "Oh! This looks good. Doesn't it look good? I think this looks good." She turned the book and pointed at the picture of one of the dishes, wondering if she could make it on her own. She flipped the book back towards her a bit too energetic and whacked her nose with the cover of the book. "Argh-" She set the book down and rubbed the tip of her nose. The boy had finally taken a sip from the boba and as soon as he did-

A smile, tiny (but a smile) grew on his face and she smiled in return. "You DO smile! You should do it more often, it looks nice." She gave a triumphant smirk and sat back. "It's bubble tea! Seriously my favorite drink ever." She pulled her cup towards her and took a long sip. "My mom and dad call it an obsession. I guess they're kind of right, but I would not be able to live without my boba tea." She was glad that she had gotten this boy to like it, now she had someone to share it with! Most people eyed the floating boba in her drinks and gave her weird and confused looks. Wizards didn't drink boba tea.

Weirdos.

She set the drink down and took a quick, paranoid look behind her shoulder. "We're not supposed to be drinking in here, are we? " No librarian in sight. She looked the other way. Nope. Maybe she was off doing something in another part of the library. "Oh well. I don't see the librarian. I think we're good." She turned back to the boy again. "Oh, I'm Reena. I should have started with that." Cracking her knuckles absent mindedly, she surveyed the boy again.

He was happily holding the drink she had provided with a small smile on his face. His skin was pale but his face carried a tiny bit of color. His choice of clothing showed that he gave no attempts to even try and add color to his appearance, with his dark clothes. She wasn't judging his personal style, no. She liked people who expressed themselves in their own way. She did so, for one. With colors, however. She was all about the colors. The boy seemed so perfect, so unrealistic. Well, he seemed like the boy everyone would want. "What's your name, if you don't mind me asking?" She waited, full attention on him as she took another sip from her drink.

"To be fair," Draven said, red tinting his cheeks, "I didn't think I'd be talking to a pretty girl today. I'm not dressed to entertain."

The library wasn't silent today. Filled with the crinkling of parchment paper, the scratching of quills, and the voice of the girl before him. She'd swept in the old catacomb of the building and brought with her the smell of wind and rays of sunshine, broken through the monotony. And Draven, for whatever reason, found himself able to breathe easier around her.

He cracked a smile, taking another sip of the 'bubble tea'. It was bitter, but instead of leaving a bad taste in his mouth, it cut away the dizziness which had started to build at the back of his temples, clearing his mind. The blobs floating in it weren't bad either.
"You DO smile! You should do it more often, it looks nice."
Draven laughed, his eyes shining in the afternoon sunlight as he peaked at Reena coyly across the table. "I know almost everyone in this school," he grinned, fingers traversing over the mug, feeling the grooves and carvings in the candle. "But your family eludes me," he leaned forward in his seat, gray eyes meeting brown, watching her intently.

Abbadon had always said Draven and his mother shared a look. Where Rory studied art, looking for the minute details, for the shadows and strokes of the brush that made a canvas unique, Draven looked at people. Their freckles, their dimples. The glint of their hair and the flakes in their eyes, the way the corner of their mouth shot up when they smiled, the shine of their teeth. "Pray tell, Reena." he rolled her name over his tongue, reveling in the way the vowels fell from his lips, like the lyrics to a song he'd forgotten. "Where are you from?"

The librarian passed somewhere behind them, and Draven concealed the drinks with a flick of his wand, moving the pile of scrolls inconspicuously forward. "I'm Draven. Draven Mirador."
