Roast Chicken Friendships
Colin's face screwed up as the three grabbed each others hands. He scratched his head absently. "Must be a girl thing," he said to himself. "Weird." While the girls were introducing themselves, Colin watched Quinn. She'd noticed his --- terror. Colin sighed and looked down to his empty plate. He'd really have to tell her. And soon. She was a good friend, and so was Bailey for that matter. He'd have to tell her too. His gaze shifted towards Ivy.
Just not here in the Great Hall.
Not here in front of Ivy. She had --- the look. She knows --- O God, I'm sure of it! Oh, I'm doomed now! Colin felt like Ivy had cracked him open like a history book and could read anything in him she pleased. He shivered slightly.
Ivy scared him. Deep down the old terror welled up. Quinn and Bailey didn't seem to sense anything out of the ordinary, though. But this Ivy was a Slytherin. How would I even know who she's talked to in the House? Maybe she's a Ministry spy? Do they even do that with students? But --- he remembered what his Ma sometimes talked about. Aye. Best be careful around her.
It took Colin a long moment to rise up from the depths of his reverie. "...vegetation...how did you get to know Colin...Library...exploring and eating..."
Ivy shifted herself over a bit to make room for Bailey, and Colin stood as his friend sat down. He knew he shouldn't feel this way, but he suddenly felt much more comfortable with Ivy a little further away --- just in case. He fingered the wand in his pocket and felt reassured. You just never know when you'll need it!
Bailey recounted the whole story of their adventure and picnic lunch. "Oh!" he said, pretty sure that Bailey meant for him to answer. "Aye, aye, Bails! I actually didn't think the others would come along; and I thought poor Taizu would faint dead away when you declared him your friend!"
Suddenly Colin laughed again. Bailey must have some kind of calming influence on him! "And didn't I nearly faint away when you declared me your friend too!" He paused for a moment, a confused look coming over his face. "Wait --- Ivy, what do you mean is Bails a vegetable?"

Ivy told Bailey that we where having a debate and that she hopes shes not a vegetarian. As Bailey sat down between Colin and Ivy. She told me and Ivy how she and Colin had met. She also told Quinn and Ivy that there names where pretty "Thank you! your name is super pretty to!" She thanked Bailey
As Bailey was telling the story Quinn thought that Colin was acting a bit odd.. Like he was scared of Ivy? When she finished telling the story Colin said something that a Taizu nearly fainted? 'Must be another one of his friends' Quinn thought to herself. He then proceeded to say that he nearly fainted. Wich made Quinn giggle at the thought of Colin fainting.
He paused and had a very confused look on his face, He asked Ivy why she called Bailey a vegetable. Quinn nearly fell out of her seat laughing. When she got herself together she told Colin what Ivy actually said "She didn't call Bailey a vegetable, She asked if she was a vegetarian" The roast was to tempting and she grabbed some more of the chicken and placed it on her plate, The vegetables also looked very good so she grabbed more of them as well.

@Quinn Root“Aww thanks!” Bailey said in response to Quinn complementing her name.
When Colin mentioned him almost fainting when she declared him her friend, Bailey laughed and said “I can be a bit forward sometimes. Taizu looked scared for a bit too- and Kim… well he seemed skeptical. But he ended up being my owl pal, and we didn’t realize it till I roped him into being my Vice President for the Peaceful Mind Club and he showed up and I recognize him!”
Then Colin was confused on why Ivy had asked if she was a vegetarian- he thought she had been called a vegetable.
“To answer your question, I am not a vegetable or a vegetarian. I love eating meat- though I can understand why someone would eat like that.
Finishing up one piece of chicken, Bailey piled some grilled or sautéed vegetables and some rice.
Munching, Bailey asked the Slytherins “What clubs and such are you guys in? Do any of y’all broom race or play Quidditch? And what is your favorite class so far?”
Waiting for a response, Bailey eat her food, taking a small break to drink some water that was in the glasses all along the table.word count: 210 ish
