Emmett ignored whatever she was saying at the moment. He was too focused on his surroundings for now to be aware of what she was going on about. He had never been in the hospital wing before. That was quite extraordinary, since the kid was quite prone to injuries. There were no times when Emmett Park was not covered in bruises, scratches, nasty burns and whatnot. He had experienced almost all that the plate of injuries had to offer to him.

Maybe it was because of his personality that made his skin permanently stained with blue and pink marks. He had the tendency to jump headfirst, sometimes literally, to ideas that seemed fun and cool at the time. Of course the only thing that was left was a huge risk of getting hurt physically. Nonetheless, Emmett seemed to enjoy the idea of spontaneity. Even scars were appealing to him. Scars represented adventures to the naive boy.

"How are you feeling. Well, obviously not fine. As in- I just want to find the matron." Emmett rambled on, probably confusing Eri. He was deep in his own world, waiting for someone to pull him back to the surface. The infirmary smelled disgustingly clean and sterile to him. Something he associated with sickness and weakness. Scrunching his nose clearly displeased, he turned to face Eri.

The very clean and sterile environment of the room made Eri sick with memories. Truly she could leave. Her ankle burned like fire when she put pressure on it she could even feel something grinding against something. She was fine, in her own words and didn't want to be in this hospital wing. To many memories flooded into her brain. How she hated the sterile and cleanliness of all hospitals. And had never wanted to go back into a hospital again. Sadly here she is. Standing in one.

When Eri was 9 her best friend Olivia Adams who was also a pureblood, had an accident. When they were playing in Eri's aunt's front yard. A seamstress was working in her shop. Something happened and Eri saw Olivia fall to the ground and start bleeding from a deep gash. When they got to saint mungos They thought it would be an easy fix, but Olivia started getting sick from infections and had to stay in the hospitals for two months. She had a lot of infections and almost died. And she vowed to never go back in a hospital again. "I'm fine Emmet, Maybe we should just go." Eri limped back to the door.

He was busy inspecting the place, when suddenly Eri's voice echoed in the room. She wanted to go back, and lied about being fine. He turned so quickly on his heels, that his neck might have just snapped with that speed. "As if. Get back here. I want you fixed, not broken." he grabbed her from the back of her collar and wrapped his slender fingers around it. Not so long after, the matron appeared before them. Emmett looked quite sour, and tried to think of something to explain her ankle with.

"Good heavens! What happened?" she always seemed to be so surprised to see someone injured. Duh, a school filled with children and teenagers. What did she possibly think would happen? Besides, the environment was quite dangerous. Even Emmett would admit that.

Loosening his grip, Emmett pointed at Eri's feet with his free hand. Clearing his throat, he pointed even more eagerly if that was possible.
"My friend has to be fixed. I don't want her broken. That's not fun." he exclaimed, almost making it sound like Eri was an object, a toy that was broken. He wanted the matron to fix whatever was hurting her.

"She hurt her ankle. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but that is not important is it?" the matron had a look that could kill. He was already feeling cautious around this place, but apparently he had managed to get her to work.

Eri was surprised he didn't break his neck. He turned so fast that she thought it would snap. He grabbed her collar and she stopped moving. He wasn't going to let go. She knew that much. "I'm not broken, yet. Also let go of my collar please." She said hoping he would oblige.

Eri looked around the hospital wing. It looked a little like a real hospital, but not exactly. She could handle this, but she wasn't sure what was wrong with her ankle. Maybe she could tell the Matron she twisted it while walking down the grand stair case.

The brunette was about to answer the Matron when Emmet answered for her. She remembered that she asked him to answer for her, but the Matron had a look like she wanted to kill someone just by looking at them.

The Matron left to go get some of her tools and potions. Eri looked at Emmet. "Could you let go of my collar? Not just loosen your grip. It isn't the same thing." Eri said. She knew he would probably not let go until the Matron was working on Eri's ankle, but she went to get tools. Eri thought this trip will be interesting.

Emmett let go of her collar when she demanded that he did. He didn't want her to feel like he was holding her hostage. She wasn't an object, you know? 'Girls are not playthings.' was something that was hammered in his head. However to the boy, everything that even breathed and blinked was a plaything. You play with your mates and peers, right?

He nodded on when the matron kept speaking, like he was a parent listening to the doctors as they told him what was wrong with their child. Not that Emmett didn't know. The thing wrong was Emmett ever letting this klutz of a girl run. Should have just picked her up like earlier, ran the whole distance himself and drop her before him. Easy, effective, hurt his back and arms even thinking about it, and would still make her the number one.

The boy nudged his cheek with his closed fist, as if he was a cat washing itself. In reality, he was just trying to keep himself awake for her sake. When the matron stood up and left to get some things especially made to treat little Eri, he pouted and shook his head lightly.
"Don't you dare run away. Or, limp away. Whatever you prefer at this time." he made it clear that she still had her limp

When Emmet let her go she thought about leaving but she sat down on one of the cots. "I'm not going anywhere. Especially since you are so content with making sure I don't leave." She said. There was no way she could get out of the room. For one her ankle was messed up. Two Emmet, he would probably stop her every attempt of escape. And she knew that was so useless. So Eri sat there waiting for the Matron to come back with stuff to help Eri.

The Matron came back and gave Eri a potion to drink and she did something with her wand which made Eri's ankle stop swelling. Eri hoped that this would be an immediate fix and she could leave right away. Eri frowned looking at Emmet. She really just wanted to get up and leave.

"Okay Dear, that should fix it. For a while don't run or do anything strenuous on that ankle." The Matron told Eri. "You are free to leave whenever you need to." The Matron left and Eri stood up. It still hurt and she could feel the potion and something fixing her ankle. Then she looked at Emmet. "Ready to go?"

Good girl, she was actually obeying him! If only he could pat her head right now. Instead he stood there, clenching his fists and stopping himself from doing anything stupid. Not that this method ever worked. Usually what came next was a punch. He was a toddler at heart, throwing tantrums and punches around. What could you really do?

"I'm glad my efforts of keeping you in places are recognized." Emmett said in a somewhat sarcastic voice, almost doing a curtsy just and lifting an invisible skirt. Then he remembered that he was a guy.

He watched her drink the potion, as if he was ready to shove it down her throat if she refused to drink it for whatever reason she had in her mind. Although he had constantly reminded her about how predictable she was, he still kept an eye for her. Who knows? Maybe she would be prompted to challenge that view just because she could. Change his mind completely about who she was. By refusing to drink a potion. He was getting sidetrack.ed

He crossed his arms as she was reminded that she still shouldn't put any extra pressure on that poor ankle. As she requested for them to leave, he dropped the sour face and smiled for once. Getting up from his seat, he waited for her.

Eri frowned at Emmet. "They are as clear as day." Eri just wanted to get through this without any trouble. And the only way to do that was to do what Emmet said.

Eri saw Emmet watching her drink her potion as if he was going to dhove it down her throat if she didn't drink it. That made her drink it even quicker. She was ready to leave this place.

"Emmet, where do you want to go now? You choose since I chose the library." Eri said. She stood up and walked over to Emmet. Ready to leave and get out of the hospital, Eri walked towards the door.

Finally she could get out of that place. She also learned not be so stubborn all the time. Especially around Emmet. She wanted to joke and say let's run, but then he would probably think she was serious and scold her again. So Eri stayed quiet and waited for Emmet at the door. He was actually smiling. "You look happy." She pointed out hoping he would tell her why he looked so happy. She could make a couple of guesses but they probably would be wrong since he was not predictable.
