Searching and Finding

Taking in the open expanse of the library, Judas couldn't help but feel a bit intimidated. He'd been to his own local library in Shrewsbury on several occasions, but it was nothing like this. Even if you ignored the fact that the books appeared to levitate back to their respective places and that the pictures in the books actually moved. What really struck him was the size. He should have expected as much seeing how he was actually attending a school in a castle. Still, he was in awe.
Shaking himself from the awe of it, the young boy made his way through the rows of shelves. He hadn't just stopped to borrow a few books for light reading. He was on a mission. His whole point of coming to the Library was to surprise Galahad. Surely there was a book amongst what felt like thousands that would hold what he needed. He considered asking the librarian for help, but it looked like she was already occupied with another student. No matter, Judas wasn't sure he could muster the courage to ask anyway. He was still unused to speaking with others. Apart from the friend he had made on the train that is.
Making his way further in, he tried to find a nature section. Surely that is where he would find a book for his purposes. Upon reaching a section that he assumed to be correct, Judas quickly scanned the books in front of him. There were a few about Geology, Bird watching(magical and muggle), and even a guide to rock collecting. None of this is what he was searching for. After so.e time of perusing the shelves, he managed to spot a book he thought was right. It appeared to be a out magical Flora and fawna in the local region. YES! This was exactly what he was looking for. It would make such a great surprise for Galahad if he were to take a few notes for their shared secret project.
Setting his things down, he took a seat and began to flip through the pages. Very quickly he became so engrossed in the task at hand, that he began to tune out the hushed voices and lazy meanderings of the students around him.

Searching and Finding

The young girl, Scarlett, was finding all the books on the shelves rather bland. She was hoping to find some inspiration for a new story she was writing titled "Calling all the witches." It was supposed to be better than her other books but lately she had been tied up with all of her classwork.
Every time she found a book that interested her, she tried to make it fit into her own. But she just wasn't feeling it lately. She was getting older now, she needed to quit making child's stories and get a life. Like, make more friends and not hide in class or when it was break time she needed to socialize instead of sitting on her bed until the next class
Luckily the library reminded her of home. Back in London her father's study was big and filled of books. She took a deep breath in and breathed it out slowly. Had they added more books to the library? The new book smell was in the air. So was dust- She sneezed loud and violently. A few kids turned to look at her but continued reading after. Some other kids started laughing their butts off. Soon after the laughter stopped and continued their studies. She buried her head into her school robes and muttered some words.
"I really can make a room laugh."

Being so engrossed in his work as he was, Judas didn't even notice the girl wandering in his direction. Upon hearing the loud sneeze; however, he jumped suddenly knocking his book over onto the floor in fright. His ink pot and quill followed the papers over the edge of the desk and he had barely enogh time to rescue the library book before it hit the floor. Looking around to the source of the noise he quickly picked up his things in an attempt to cover his own surprise at the loudness. One of his notebooks now had a long line of ink down the middle and the page was essentially ruined. He let out a sigh realizing he would have to completely redo all his previous notes.
He supposed it wasn't really her fault that she sneezed. There did appear to be a great amount of older books here and in turn there was probably a great deal of dust hidden between each of the pages. Looking up to the girl, taking care to keep his eyes covered by his hair, he offered a quiet "Bless you." and took out a handkerchief for her. As much as he wanted to get over his fears, he was still rather nervous about his mismatched eyes.
She looked to be around his age, so probably a first year. She was definitely what his brothers would consider fairly pretty and he wondered if she was the popular sort. After hearing he joke, he couldn't help a small laugh bubble up. He wondered if she was talking to anyone in particular or just making a statement to the air. He noticed she had a Hufflepuff robe on as well. So they were in the same house.
He handed the small cloth to her with a shy smile. "Here, you could probably use this right about now."

She turned to see a boy her age, and blushed. "Oh um. Thanks." She took the small cloth from his hands. She pushed her hair behind her ear. She then glanced at his robes. "Hufflepuff are you?" She asked shyly. "My name is Scarlett" She said, sort of whispering her name.
Whenever Scarlett was walking in the hallways she could hear people whisper things about her. The negative ones were usually, "Why is she so quiet" or "I heard she reads more than 2 hours a day." Which were both true, but why did they have to tell her? She already knew about herself better than anyone else in the world. The positive ones she heard were, "She is so pretty." and "I want to be her friend.
Ah yes Friends, She needed those desperately. She met few people, and when she did meet people it was because she was paired up with them for a school assignment. She thought for a moment.
Maybe this guy could be friends with me?
Scarlett could tell that he was a shy boy. His hair hung over his eyes and he spoke quietly. Only knowing that because she was a shy kid too. She also noticed his notebook with lots of words written in it, with a big line of ink through the middle of the page.
