Eh, Why the Heck Not?
Mei walked out of her dorm. She was bored out of her mind. She was putting off her homework. She rarely attended that class anyway. She walked to the Common room which was surprisingly empty. Where the hell is everyone? Ugh. She walked out and down to the second floor. Walking through the ever switching corridors. She fingered her wand which was hidden inside the sleeve of her robes. She dreaded the blue color. Why couldn't she be in a cool house like Gryffindor? Hell she would even be fine if she was in Slytherin.
She acted like a mean snake anyway. Always bullying people and causing trouble. Sorting hat could have at least sorted her into the correct house. She kicked her foot out scuffing her boot along the floor in irritation. She wanted to cause some trouble. She wanted to get someone else in trouble right along with her. But who? That's when she noticed someone ahead of her. A girl wearing Gryffindor robes.
Mei smirked and made a plan on what to do. Would she sneak up on the girl? Cast a spell on her? There were so many options. Mei quietly tiptoed and creeped up behind the girl. She crouched down slightly before jumping up and yelling into the girl's ear. BOO!!! she made claws with her hands grabbing the girl by the shoulders.

Eh, Why the Heck Not?
Mina was walking running her hand along the wall, wondering where she should go, wanting to explore some more. She closes her eyes and then she feels fingers—more like claws, digging into her shoulders and the a loud ’BOO’ in her ear. She sniffed, holding in her shout and she turns around, crossing her arms. She had yet to rail at another student at Hogwarts, for once managing to control her tongue, but this— this she would not hold her tongue.
“Who are you? What did you do that for?” She hisses at the the girl, her face hard, “Did you really feel the need to do that?”
She glares at the girl and notes the colors of Ravenclaw on the girl and was slightly confused, she’d met at least three Ravenclaw students so far and they were all nice, she had expected the person who had snuck up and yelled in her ear to be Slytherin. Then again, she had expected to make Slytherin as well, and look where she was.
She taps her foot impatiently, waiting for the girl the answer her questions, then realized that the girl might not answer her questions so she stopped tapping her foot.

Eh, Why the Heck Not?
Mei watched as the girl turned around and crossed her arms. She hissed at her and let out a spew of questions and began to tap her foot. "Who I am? Mei Hagikura. I did it because why not. And yes I did feel the need to do it. I don't know why but why not? That's the answer for everything. 'Why'd you do that?' Why not do it? Huh? Don't question yourself before doing things. Just do it. And if someone asks just say 'Why not?' Makes sense doesn't it.
Mei watched as the girl stopped tapping her foot. She pulled out her wand. "So whaddya say we get in some trouble, huh? I mean what's the worse that could possibly happen. Mei waved her wand around before pointing it away "Periculum" She said as red sparks emitted from her wand.
She looked at the girl. "Betcha haven't learned that one yet, or have ya? Eh who cares cause I sure don't. And don't say I do just cause I asked cause I don't. She place her wand back into the pocket she had made inside the sleeve of her robe. She kept it there for easy access. It stayed hidden unless she jerked her arm at just the right hardness for it to drop into her hand. It wouldn't come loose if she jerked it too hard or too soft. Just a slight jerk of her arm backwards would make it come down.

Mina raises an eyebrow, Did she really just say that? Did she just ask me to. . . She shakes her head, “I can’t,” She says with false sadness, “I have other, better places to be and better things to do.”
She watches the spell and snickers slightly, “[color=83110]You really think a couple of ed sparks are going to impress me? ‘Cause they won’t.[/color]” She sighs softly and leans back on her heels, “[color=831100]And am I supposed to be impressed with you? You said your name like I should at least know who you are. Also, you’re not very nice, you could do somewhat neutral things for ‘just ‘cause’, you know.[/color]”
She smirks slightly and turns her back and starts to walk away, starting to head to the courtyard, feeling this girl would either keep trying to pick on her or some other thing Mina really didn’t want to deal with. She had heard the rumors, the girl had pushed a boy into the lake, cast flippino in the library and set something or someone on fire in the library. She really didn’t feel like any of that. And don’t forget the headache she received for the shout in her ear.

Mei listened to the girl as she droned on about how the simple spell wasn't that exciting. Of course it wasn't. It was just sparks but still kind of cool if you did it in the dark. She'd done it before. It made the room glow red before fading back to black. The girl denied her offer to get into some mischief with her. Ugh such a party pooper You are no fun at all. Neutral things won't get you into trouble. The most they'll do is just annoy someone. Mei loved the rush she got when she got in trouble. She would often have to hold back giggles.
The girl turned around with a shake of her head and told Mei not the shout in her ear again. Mei just rolled her eyes and made a talking motion with her hand. She placed the other on her hip and mocked the girl in a whiny voice. 'I have other better places and better things to do' 'Don't ever shout in my ear ever again' Oh my god loosen up a little. Why are you so uptight? You're clearly just jealous you can't do that spell yet. Don't worry you'll learn it soon enough.

Mina spins around, her dark brown eyes narrowing, “Loosen up? You don’t know me, we’ve only been talking for five minutes, just because I don’t know how to cast a spell, doesn’t mean I can’t do other things, I don’t rely on magic to do everything for me.” She glares at the girl, if she hadn’t shouted in her are and mocked her, Mina thought they could be friends, but Mina didn’t deal with people who bothered her for no reason beside they just wanted to.
“And I do do fun things, I just don’t do them to get me in trouble.” She tilts her head slightly, “I’m not uptight, I just. . .” She fingers the cross around her neck, going distant for a second, a memory fading into her head, ‘Don’t let them get to you, sweet heart, let it slide right over you like a wave.’ She protests softly, ‘But papa, it’s hard, they called me names.’ Her father brushed his hand over her hair, ‘And you pushed them and called them names back, you just walk away, don’t antagonize them.’ Nate from the next room over started crying and her father kissed her forehead, ‘Good night, sweet heart.’ He got up and walked out, closing the door behind him.
The memory fades and she blinks looking at Mei, “Whatever.” She mutters and pushes her father words away, he would never be there to give her advice after a fight, “Why would I be jealous” She smirks, “I don’t sneak up on people, at least I can look them in the face.”

Mei just looked at the girl as she spoke. She showed no emotions. Just a blank stare. The girl was irritated.
Well Mei did sneak up and yell in her ear. That doesn't matter, doesn't mean the girl gets to put her down. I mean the spells really not that impressive. What are you talking about? That spell is awesome. Not really. Ugh you have no taste. I can taste. That's not what I'm talking about. Then what ar-. Just forget it. I'm trying to say how are we going to...ugh make it up to her. I don't know that's up to Mei.
The voices were arguing back and forth in her head. She swatted at them which made her look a bit weird. Like she was just swatting randomly at the air for no reason. Mei shook her head and shuddered. She couldn't believe she was about to do this.
"As much as it pains me to say this. I mean really I don't want to say this but." Mei paused and gagged. She did not want to apologize but it had to be done. "I'm.....I'm sorry" She finally said in a strained voice. She shuddered as if she had just taken some bad cough medicine. She looked at the girl wondering if she would accept her apology.
