A few days into January and Henry hadn't forgotten about the prejudice spread around before the holidays. The whispers of students spreading uncertainty about half breeds and the daily prophet along with the headliner including rumour filled articles.
Werewolves seemed to be keen for prejudice and rumours, those who suffer from the infliction tend to be quiet about their condition and peaceful but they ways seem to be sort of words circling around them. Either from students or newspapers.
With the sudden articles from the headliner on werewolves, filling the student body with fear and doubt on their certain peers. Rumours circling around the school, spreading from one house to the next. An air of fear could be sensed around the school of magic, from everyone. Some are afraid of what the half-breeds could be capable of and if they were at risk of injury or worse while at school. While others are afraid of their secrets getting exposed and their peers judging them, abandoning them or outing them from society.
Werewolves have been outed from society for years, laws and records specially written for those who suffer from the condition. Shunned from society for some or living a life of solitude for others. No longer able to live the life that they had before they were infected.
Within Hogwarts, a club secret to those who aren't werewolves run behind the scenes. As a place to help and protect each other. The leaders, two slytherins with one hufflepuff. The hufflepuff left so it just has been the two looking after the pack that grows each day.
Henry agreed to meet with Scarlet that evening, an hour before curfew so they wouldn't get caught using codenames and hidden slips of paper to communicate about the club. Henry's codename is Silverback, a slight play on words to the famous wolves that came before their time. Henry walked through the corridors, hood pulled low and Loki left in his dormitory.
He stood there in the dark, waiting for his partner. Their plan was simple, anonymously place badges in support for werewolf rights around the school for others to find the next morning. A small note that they still are there and still are humans, humans that wish for the same rights as everyone else without the fear of being judged or outed.
Once Scarlet would arrive, Henry would offer a nod then split the badges evenly between them. Walking down the corridor, planting them for others to see. Werewolves might have stayed silent before but they won't allow the prejudice and rumours to be spread about them any longer. The wolves have arrived and it is time for them to come out from the darkness and into the light.

It was hard to describe how she felt about being a werewolf. It's not like it was some kind of hidden talent that she would tell others she was proud to have, but she also didn't belong in the group of werewolves that hated that animal side of themselves. Scarlet knew how easily a person's own opinions could be influenced on hearing the views of other people, she felt this was especially true for werewolves. With a large proportion of society warning everyone about the dangers of werewolves, how they should be isolated from 'normal' people and, in rare cases, hunted down, it was difficult to see any positives.
Things had been rather calm in the werewolf club that Scarlet had helped bring to life at the start of the year, they had had a few new members and seen the disappearance of a few others, their current numbers were small, but without actually knowing how many werewolves there are in the school, she didn't know how successful they had been at attracting new members. It's not like it was something they could actively advertise either, to the vast majority of Hogwarts students, Scarlet was just like everyone else, that she didn't transform into a dangerous beast every full moon.
For what would be their first meeting to talk about the club since the Christmas break, Scarlet was eager to meet Henry, or Silverback as he was referred to in their notes, secrecy was a large part of the club, with Scarlet signing her own notes off as 'Grey Crescent.' Taking a turn at the end of the corridor, Scarlet saw Henry waiting in the shadows, or at least a hooded figure she presumed to be her friend.
"Hey!" she said, greeting her friend, she didn't think anyone was around but still left out his name, just in case, putting up her own hood, she took a handful of badges from her friend. "Lets get started, there's not many people wandering about so I'd say we should get this done pretty easily," following the boy's lead, she walked with him down the corridor, sticking to the side opposite to him, carefully placing badges in areas bound to be found by other students.
"You think these will work," she asked, the badges were simple but gave the message the pair needed them to, and would hopefully go some way to rectifying the mess that the school's newspaper made of werewolves' reputation.

@Scarlet Salvatore | @Henry KnightBrown jacket + JeansEdme Achillian had many secrets she wished to never reach light. Some were more minor than others, like them practicing their smile in the mirror or her "small" fear of rats. Then, there was the slightly bigger secrets, like the hole behind the armor stand or their other fear of missing out. And of course, the biggest secret of all, one they had so wished to be forsaken: she was a werewolf.
Of course there were other werewolves in the school, some more open about it than others, but overall it was a mainly human-dominated place. And lets just say not every human is very fond of the prospect of ravenous werewolves sitting by them in Astronomy. Obviously there were steps to be taken to prevent the wolf from being a true danger, like that gross potion one would drink before the full moon or the shrieking shack that stood just near Hogsmeade. But it seemed people didn't like to do all that research.
Edme had struggled with actually finding someone she could talk to about it, save for their foster mothers all the way back in Scotland. Without them to talk to, who would really give her the comfort needed in such a scary situation? She was only twelve.
Thankfully, the full moon wasn't anywhere near as Edme strolled blankly through the long corridors. They had been on a mission to memorize the directions of the seemingly endless school, just so it wasn't an adventure trying to get to Charms. It had so far been going incredibly unsuccessful. And boring.
A cloaked duo up ahead caught her eye. Why would students need to hide their faces in the middle of the hallway? Was it some weird gang thing they weren't aware of? Taking a closer look, she could see the two talking, though they couldn't place what about. A few badges were being held carefully, a large amount at that. She was out of sight behind their turned backs, and though she knew it probably wasn't polite to people watch, they were going the same way anyways.
Taking a step forward, the young Ravenclaw followed behind the two, careful to be quiet about it.WC:352

Hidden in the shadows of the moon. Moving among the darkness where certain creatures thrive. Leaving behind small traces... traces of their existence. Hiddem in the shadows and overlooked- forgotten from wizarding society. Shunned into hiding by peers, family, and authority alike. Treated as if they suffer from a curse or like their monsters. Placing laws and limitations against them, some turning their back on the society after having enough of hiding in the shadows.
Werewolves grew for years with rumours, prejudice, and hardships containing not only to their condition but to others words and feelings as well. Some finding it best to stay hidden, slip into the background and fade away from thought while others wrack havco to live up to names used by others.
Placing a badge on the ledge of windowsill, hood pulled low and bag held in his grip. Nose sniffing the air for easedroppers when a scent was caught, ears perked to the voice of hia friend and co leader of the club. 'Grey Crescent' known in notes or signatures to keep their identities a secert, Scarlet Salvatore is both a friend and fellow slytherin of the lad. A wolf in every house, nearly nestled in as a trusted member to rely messages and continue the werewolf uprising that the two slytherins started.
Henry came to a halt, a turn as he found his gaze lock on Scarlet. A nod as he listened. Offering a nod as he gave her half the badges then walked on the opposite side, keeping her pace as he planted badges down the corriors.
Her voice. A question. The teen wasn't sure of this plan or if anything would work but he didn't show these doubts, knowing ad one of the elder werewolves at Hogwarts it would be his responsibility to reassure the younger wolves that things can get better and help them. A soft smile and looked toward Scarlet as he spoke"alone, no but it is a start." A pause in his words and in placing the badges as he took a breath, "it will get better, trust me. All we need is time." A small nod as the teen continued the slow pace with Scarlet, placing badges out carefully deciding to change the subject.
The teen playfully spoke"I didn't imagine, you'll join the enemy maybe I should be worried with you betraying the pack," a little mischievous smole toward his friend who knew of his distrust for all papers. Not only thr school's but the daily prophet and others as well. Refusing to spend even a sickle on them to read gossip or rumours.
The conversation stayed light till his smile faded, rhe teen came to a sudden stop. Nose sniffing the air as he looked back into the darkness and the teen whispered"someone's there." Henry looked across toward Scarlet, nodding a little toward her as he slipped his hag over one shoulder and his right hand into his hoodie pocket. Placing his concealed hand onto his concealed wand. Taking a step or two forward. Drawing in a breath. Something about it felt familiar, slightly through ans faint.
A longed out breath. The teen picked up on a faint scent, one he briefly smelled from the shrieking shack. Removing his hand from his wand and pocket, Henry looked over his shoulder at Scarlet. Eyes meeting hers as he spoke"watch my back." A nod. Scarlet being one of the few people whom he trusted to watch his back from trouble and the danger of others.
A step then another closer to the darkness. Eyes widen, ears perked for a sound as he drew in a breath then spoke"the night can be a dangerous time but not as dangerous as a full moon," putting a emphasis on full moon as he pulled a single badge from his bag and hand it out to the darkness.

One may find it easy to melt into the shadows.
Which, yes, it was easy to become a part of them, but there were factors to follow. Like not letting your ginormous boots clunk against stone bricks. Or not breathing ragged, anxious breaths too loud. Sometimes, it was best to just hold it in.
Edme was good at most of the points, easily finding a way to silence the natural noise and go off into the place where only the paranoid look. Or smell.
They had been doing so well, too. She had managed it for a few moments, but of course they had to get the flashlight flickered on her great hiding spot: plain sight. They used to be so good at it, but maybe magical schools had systems to get students caught like that. Though the words the other said were strange, like a code or something. But the two words that stuck out the most were the ones that had haunted Edme since age 5.
Stepping closer to the deeper voice, they were met with a badge being held in her direction. "What do you-" the words on the badge threw them off, dizzying. The next things she said seemed foreign to their tongue, like they were another's words shoved into her mouth. "How did you know I was a..." even the correct word would make her mouth taste bitter.

Scarlet enjoyed hanging out with Henry, even if they were doing more out of the ordinary things like this. When the pair had originally decided on the idea of creating the badges, Scarlet was thrilled at the thought of spreading awareness in this way, when she realised it would be them doing the distribution she was a little apprehensive. They were yet to run into any trouble yet though.
Scarlet nodded at Henry's reply, this was of course better than nothing, but at the same time something that many could still ignore or pass off as being less of an issue than it is. "Yeah, I know, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what reaction this drums up in people," she said referring to the badges, hoping that there would be some kind of reaction to see.
Examining the next badge she withdrew from her pocket, it was Henry's reaction that brought her attention to the presence of someone else nearby. Whoever it was, they were a stranger to Scarlet, she could tell that from the scent, or more specifically the lack of a familiar one. "Um-hum," she said in agreement, the pair continuing to walk as normal down the corridor, Scarlet placing the badge back in her pocket. Scarlet glanced to her side to where Henry walked beside her, she saw the familiar sight of him reaching for his wand, Scarlet didn't feel uneasy but saw no harm in being prepared.
The girl now facing them was, as she suspected from the scent, unknown to her, and most likely to Henry too, Scarlet thought judging by her friend's reaction. Scarlet had barely begun to think of an answer to what she expected the girl to ask, when the girl said something Scarlet hadn't expected to hear - or at least she started to.
"....werewolf?!" Scarlet said, noticing the girl's sentence trailing away, "we didn't," she answered, looking to Henry, assuming he was thinking the same, Scarlet was pretty sure there had been nothing about the girl that made her think she was a werewolf. "I'm Scarlet, and this is Henry," she said, gesturing to her friend, she paused waiting to see if the mysterious girl would introduce herself, "so, you're a werewolf? You've probably guessed it already from the badges, but so are we," she said trying to put the girl at ease.

Henry looked out into the shadows. Keeping his form steady, his stance open and voice comforting. He knew how some thought of themselves, how they viewd themselves and what they turn into during a full moon. The teen knew well of those thoughts... since he experienced the same but if he could help another. Comfort them. Show them that they aren't alone than maybe that could even be better than facing the thoughts himself.
The shadow spoke. Henry held the badge out toward them for them to take, his voice soft and comforting as he spoke"I promise, I'm not playing tricks on you. We're here to help and your always welcome to join us now or later. Whenever you need a friend, I'll- we'll be here." Henry nodded toward the shadows then their voice, cut off at the word most can't say but spoken by Scarlet.
Henry and Scarlet had different approaches but je was still grateful for her. They spoke. Henry took a step closer to the shadows, toward the figure as he spoke"Your not alone anymore, you don't have to be alone anymore. You have a pack- a family now." Henry softly smiled at the shadows, how things change from when he was a lonely first year wolf pup to now.

Corridors
Edme sucked on her bottom lip worridely, unsure of what to do.
"Oh- sorry, I uh, assumed because of the badges and-" they rambled on like she had just learned English yesterday, which may as well have been the case as all of their words became scrambled and mismatched. She was a bit more relieved to find out that the other two were lycanthrope's as well. "Oh."
The heat from the torches seemed a lot hotter now, and they wished she knew a spell to snuff them out, or at least dim them. She wanted to slap herself, upset and regretful of the few words shared in those couple moments. How could they be so stupid? You don't just go announcing to strangers that you're a werewolf. As more of an afterthought, they grabbed the badge and looked it over. Werewolf activists. That was something much newer to her.
They listened closely to the next few words, hesitantly skittish, even in the reassurance provided.
Edme had heard the word family a lot. It was usually used as a comfort from foster parents, as a way to try and soften up the tension when the Ravenclaw had to make another move. She had began to become distrustful of the word, as though it were laced with poison. But when the older boy spoke the word, it was as if it had been as thought through as a painting and as delicate as a vase.
Edme wavered, clutching the badge so tightly her knuckles turned white. "Do you mean that?" They asked carefully.

The teen looked up them. A first year, the question stood. Did they- he mean that? The teen looked back, his eyes found Scarlet. The teen looked upon her for a moment, remembering when they first met. Remembering when they grew close, shared laughs and smiles with each other. The second year always held a rather adorable laugh, at least he thought so.
The teen then remembered those darker times. The moments when she had hus back and he had hers. Those were the times thay reminded him jusr how special she is to him, how much she means to him. Closer than a friend. He felt a kinship toward her, a want to protect her... one that he felt grew toward the other younger wolves of hogwarts.
Hks eyes darting back toward Edme. He held the bag of pins out to Scarlet, letting the bag fall for her to grab. His eyes on Scarlet, nodding toward with a soft smile. His partner, co founder and fellow wolf. The girl is his equal but it didn't escape the fact thay he felt as if he needed to protect her... help her.
Eyes on Edme. The teen felt that same emotion to them. Wanting to help them, protect them. He walked forward, closing the gap between them as he held a hand out to them. A soft smile as he spoke"I promise, I promise you that we are your family. We, wolves never leave one behind and we will never leave you behind," holding his hand out towsrd them, a simple nod followed by a soft, gentle smile as he spoke"I promise you, you'll never be alone and you'll always have someone there. Whenever you need, I'll be there. We'll be there, your apart of a pack- our family now if you choose to."

Scarlet offered the girl a heartfelt smile on hearing her question, it had taken Scarlet a while after starting Hogwarts before she finally thought that she could start to feel accepted as a werewolf - it wasn't difficult to remember how it was before that though, how this girl must surely be feeling.
She wasn't quite sure what it was, she knew it couldn't be their shared condition, but the ease in which she formed a friendship with Henry was something she would be forever grateful for, without it, she would most certainly have not had the courage to tell others about her transformations - even though the numbers she had told is small.
She couldn't have put her thoughts into words better than Henry - she admired how he was always able to come across as so kind in such situations, remembering back to that very first werewolf meeting she had attended when she first met him.
"Henry's right," she added during a pause in her friend's reply, "you can always count on us to have you're back, for most of us, the fact that we're a werewolf is our biggest secret, and the people that you choose to share that secret with understand the importance of that kind of secret."
With the thought of the thought of the lingering curfew in her mind and the potential for a last flurry of students making their way back to the dormitories and come across the group, Scarlet waited for Henry to finish speaking before speaking up again. "We'd love for you to be part of our group, and we'll be looking out for you during the next full moon at the shack." With her gaze now directed at Henry she continued, "don't know about you, but I'm going to head back to the common room - it was really nice to meet you, and hopefully I'll see you again soon," she said, in the end looking at the girl once more.
