Sienna had decided against her better judgement to go down to the library to study that day. She had always loved the atmosphere within a library and besides it was the perfect place to get work done in. She had gathered up a few books, parchment, and her quill and ink bottle and made her way down to the library from Gryffindor Tower.

She had figured that if she sat closer to the back corner of the tables and didn't make eye contact with anyone she would be able to avoid conversation and unwanted interactions. There was only one or two people in the entire school that she would be willing to let sit with her. Most others called her names and avoided her like the plague because of her introverted and closed off nature.

Currently she sat scribbling notes at her small corner table. She was so deeply involved in her coursework that she did not notice the girl that was walking over to her until it was too late. The girl asked if she could sit in the seat beside Sienna, which was the last thing she wanted. Then the girl proceeded to compliment her and begin to talk seemingly nonstop.

"Yes, I'm a first year Gryffindor," she replied in a soft voice after a moment. "I'm trying to study, get some work done, so would you please leave me alone?" It sounded a bit rude now that she heard her words out loud, but she found that she didn't regret them in the slightest. She had not asked for this girl to come over to sit beside her, and she would like nothing better if the girl would simply leave her to her studies.

When the girl asked her, slightly rudely, to leave her alone, Bailey blushed and muttered “Yes… sorry. I do tend to run my mouth a bit.”
Oops… Bailey thought. I should have just left her alone. She could have been a little nicer though.
Deciding to just Ignore the fact that the girl had been rude to her, Bailey settled down with a smile on her face, to read her book. The book was a new one, written by a witch or wizard. The book was titled Quidditch Through the Ages and was about the history of Quidditch. Bailey found it quite interesting, and with her love of books and history, she was interested. Though she had no interest in ever joining a flying sport like Broom racing or Quidditch, Bailey still found the history of Magical things and traditions to be quite interesting.
Deciding to break the uncomfortable silence, Bailey looked up at the girl and said “I’m really sorry for earlier. I really didn’t mean to talk that much. And my name is Bailey. Bailey Glade. What is your name?”
Thinking to herself, Bailey thought Hopefully that didn’t make it worse. It would be a shame if I did. I do want to be her friend, I just don’t know if she does too

The girl apologized softly which made Sienna feel a bit bad for her snappy words. They had been rude and almost mean. "It's fine, I was just trying to study alone. I'm sorry if I was a bit rude with what I said," she relented. Now that she apologized, she didn't feel half as bad about her words.

Perhaps this meant that the girl would leave and find someone nicer than she to sit with now. There were several other tables scattered around the library in which she could sit and read her book. However, the girl did not leave as Sienna has asked, and instead settled in at the table and opened her book. Sienna's eyebrows rose slightly. For a Ravenclaw she certainly couldn't take a hint very well.

The girl did seem like she was engrossed within the pages of her book now though. If she stayed reading and said nothing else, Sienna wouldn't mind if she stayed sitting at her table. However, just when Sienna began to start scribbling her notes again, the girl spoke up and introduced herself as Bailey Glade.

As much as Sienna just wanted to work and have Bailey leave, she decided to make up for her rudeness earlier she would introduce herself. Introduce herself and nothing else. Surely just a simple introduction wouldn't hurt anything or cause Bailey to continue to talk anymore. "My name is Sienna. Sienna Lenoir." She didn't say nice to meet you or anything along those lines because she would have rather not met Bailey, but of course she wouldn't say that out loud. Some things were better left in one's thoughts.

Reading Bailey thought should I introduce myself? I don’t know… I think she just wants me to leave. But I want to read! Should I just leave?
Deciding to introduce herself, Bailey asked what the girls name was. It turned out to be Sienna Lenoir. “That’s a pretty name!” Bailey cheerfully complemented Sienna. Bailey was not going to leave just because Sienna clearly didn’t want company. I have a right to read here too. And maybe she is sad and I will make her happier. I think she needs more friends. She does seem like someone who would be lonely and only have a few friend.
Bailey’s curiosity grew and finally after almost a half hour of leaving Sienna in peace, she burst out and said “What are you studying for? What class?”
Realizing that Sienna probably wasn’t going to appreciate this, Bailey mentally prepared herself for a grumpy girl while crossing her fingers that she had softened to her.
Maybe… she just needs some peace in her life. I could mention the Peaceful Mind Club to her later… I wonder what clubs she is in?
“Are you in any clubs?” Bailey asked a few minutes later. Her curiosity had no limits.

Sienna gave a small smile to Bailey when the other girl complimented her name. "Thanks," she replied, but added nothing else that could be turned into another conversation. She was wishing that Bailey would take the hint already and see herself to another table or out of the library altogether. Technically she had the right to read here, but Sienna thought she was making it plenty clear that she did not want the company Bailey was providing at the moment.

After a half an hour Bailey had still not left, but she hadn't spoken again either. Sienna had been able to get a bit more done, but she still wished that Bailey would leave. Surely one did not need to be reading at the library for more than a half an hour. Sadly, the other girl spoke up again, asking what she was studying for.

"I'm studying for Astronomy," she allowed after a moment of saying nothing. She laced her tone with a slight bit of irritation, not nearly as much as she felt, but enough for Bailey to get the point. And as for clubs I'm in the Goosebumps Club, but that's it." She had been wary about signing up for a club because she did not want to interact with anyone, but figured that she could just fade into the shadows. It had turned out to be much more fun than she had originally thought though and she had even started to expand her comfort zone within the club a bit.

When Sienna smiled at her complement, Bailey smiled shyly back. maybe she is not mad at me anymore? she wondered. Then maybe we can be friends!
This thought occupied her mind for the next thirty minutes while she restrained herself from bombarding Sienna with questions. Finally her will power broke and she almost spilled out with all of the questions.
Bailey restrained herself mostly though, and only asked what Sienna was studying for.
Astronomy! That’s cool! Bailey though, glad to have gotten a response.
When Bailey asked what clubs she was in, she answered with the goosebumps club.
Bailey was in a similar club, or maybe it was even the same one! Deciding to ask and clarify, she timidly spoke up.
“The one ran by Noah Jupe, right? Because i am in that club too! He convinced me to, and I said ok if he would join the martial artists club. He did, and so I did too!”
Crossing her fingers under the table that she had not just caused Sienna to dislike her even more, Bailey thought I wonder… if she is in any other clubs? Or …. Is she in charge of any clubs? I don’t think Noah mentioned having a co leader, but maybe he has one?

Bailey smiled a bit more shyly back at her. It seemed that Sienna's reserved and snappy attitude had knocked the other girl down a few pegs. She didn't seem as confident as she had when she had first come over, that was for sure anyways. Bailey quieted down a bit more after she responded by saying she was studying for Astronomy. She wasn't too easily fooled this time though. The last time Bailey went quiet, it only lasted for a short amount of time before she started right back up again, just as chatty as before.

Nevertheless, whatever Sienna had suspicions about, she cautiously ignored them and went immediately back to writing on the already close to filled parchment. After a few more moments Bailey once again started to talk, this time about the Goosebumps club that Sienna had admitted to being in.

"Yes, the one run by Noah." Bailey had given her too much information on
top of simply saying she was also in the club. "I'm the co owner of the club actually." She had no idea as to why she had just said that, but it was out in the open now. She had conflicted feelings about being the co owner because it meant she had to take charge and help whoever needed it, but she liked the feeling of being in charge at the same time and it was rather fun.

Out of nowhere, she felt a steady rage build up in her at Bailey. Why was this girl talking to her so much and why was Sienna answering with so much unnecessary information? In short, she snapped completely and totally. "Why can't you just leave me alone?"

Trying to be quite, Bailey found it almost impossible. This girl… Intrigued her. There was something about her that Bailey found interesting, and aroused her curiosity. When her curiosity was aroused, there was no stopping her.
When Sienna snapped that yes, she was in the Club with Noah, Bailey smiled slightly, but tried to hide it. Sure it was going to offend the other girl Bailey thought wow- she and Noah are like complete opposites. Noah is super scared and she is like… not afraid to say her mind.
Then Sienna continued, her self control clearly snapping. oh wow… well I’ll stop asking her questions, but I’m not leaving. She is not that intimidating- and I’m not going to let her scare me away.
With those thoughts, Bailey said with a sweet smile “Sure I’ll quite down. Sorry to interrupt your studies- you just seem intriguing. And the tots opposite of Noah. It kinda makes sense why y’all are co owners of the club.”
Bailey said the last part to herself, but she was sure Sienna could still hear her.
Bailey didn’t care about the other girls opinion now- she had clearly had her fill of Bailey, but Bailey was not done.
Smiling at her book, Bailey continued reading.

It was so very irritating how Bailey seemed incapable of staying quiet for even the barest amount of time. It was a foreign concept to the much more reserved girl how anyone could talk so much,or even stand to be around people so much. Being around Bailey made Sienna want to scream at her to shut up and go away, which she had just done partially.

Bailey seemed surprised that she was the co-owner of the club alongside Noah. Was it that hard to believe that she actually got involved in a school club for a change? When Bailey spoke again, it raised even more questions in Sienna's mind. Why did Bailey find her intriguing? And was that a compliment? "Great," she said sarcastically. "I'm so glad it makes sense to you." She was the opposite of Noah, but he was nice and quiet, which allowed them to work together seamlessly.

With that she resumed her writing, but looked up again when she noticed that Bailey wasn't leaving. Wasn't it clear enough that Sienna had no desire to be around the other girl? Or was Bailey doing it just to spite her? With an annoyed sigh, she stood and moved her things to another table, still relatively close to where Bailey sat all alone now, but at least now Sienna had her own space.
