Marina listened to Illowy's reply. "I'm not exactly exciting to be with at parties. I'm sure you'd have more fun with your friends, poppet. They're probably looking for you." Marina replied, "I can't." Marina said then realizing that she should probably explain her answer more Marina continued, "I do not have any friends at Hogwarts or from any other magical school. Before I came to Hogwarts I went to a muggle school I had lots of friends there but I have not spoken to any of them since I got here so I doubt they are my friends either." Marina stopped, realizing that Illowy probably didn't want to hear about her awful social situation.
Marina continued listening hoping that Illowy would allow Marina to join her."You're welcome to join me if you like. I may go to the courtyard later if nothing happens here. You can come with if you like." "Thanks," Marina said. "I'm Marina." She added, "Marina Oriel."
"Did you put your name in fiery cauldron?" Marina asked, "I heard they will be announcing the champions soon." Marina wasn't sure what else to say to Illowy so Marina waited for her reply. Then after a moment Marina asked another question, "Were you planning on meeting anyone here?" Marina asked.Sorry for the late reply

Now usually Kim refrained from playing pranks on others where it was obvious that he was the culprit. He also didn't tend to play them that often because doing it more often increased the chance of getting caught in the process. But this time had been different as it hadn't been for the sake of playing a prank, like he usually tended to do. It had been more along the lines of wanting to see how Sophia would react to the item. And of course Sophia didn't disappoint.
He was glad she'd managed to get the teacup off and glanced over at Gem as his date spoke. A faint smirk played along the corners of his lips upon seeing Gem's frosty gaze. She was actually pretty cute like that, he had to admit. Kim came over to Gem's side and placed an arm over her shoulders, squeezing it a little. "Alright, I won't let you go to the healer's tent again tonight. Not because of me." He said, trying to reassure her with his words.
It was around this time that one of the higher-years at the tent spoke to them.
He gave them some good advice.
Reminding them sign-ups for one of the two games offered that night and slips to be taken into the dragon effigy and hung up there were both closing within the next couple of minutes. So if they wanted to do either of those, they should hurry up before it was too late. Kim had no idea what either of these were, as he'd come late to the ball, but knew he wanted to try out both. But there was no time. What could he do, so he didn't miss out on both of the activities?
Gem informed him that she didn't want to participate in either game and that she would be going to put her slip into the dragon effigy now. Kim scrawled something onto a slip of paper he'd found nearby, someone must have dropped it by accident, and gave it to Gem. "Mind if you take my slip too? I want to sign up for the Firewalking Obstacle Course. We can meet back at the potluck table afterward?" He said and then glanced over at Soph.
She seemed like she wanted to go with him.
Well, that worked.
The two of them would go together. Maybe Sage would come too. Unless Sage wanted to go with Gem. "You wanna come with me and Sophia, Sage? Or are you going with Gem?" Kim asked and then reached over to grab Sophia's hand with his own. "If you want to sign-up for a game, follow us! If not, let's meet back at the potluck table afterward!" He told her and then headed towards the area where the sign-up sheets were.
Yes, dragging Sophia along behind him.
He could hear some surprised squeaking as they moved through the crowds.
That was quite cute. Kim made a mental note to one day try and record her squeaks sometime. Upon reaching their destination, Kim signed both of them up for the Firewalking Obstacle Course and then looked down at Sophia. He released her hand and reached up to run a hand through his hair. "I signed us up for Firewalking Obstacle Course since neither of us can deal with heights. That alright with you?" Kim asked as he waited.

ACTION: Leaving for the Festival area with Lucia and Ye-jun
Blue in English, Red in KoreanSamantha elected not to use the offered tissues but Eun-ji already suspected that would happen. The second year could be incredibly stubborn and it made sense that she wouldn't accept help from someone that just chose to hurt her in one of the worst ways possible. It was understandable and yet the raven-haired witch couldn't help but keep staring at the unopened packet as if it personally offended her. In fact, she was still staring at it when Lucia and Ye-jun re-joined her at the potluck table. It was supposed to be the other way round. She promised to find them once she was done here but Eun-ji must have zoned out for longer than she realized. Both her friend and her cousin enjoyed dancing but her little pity party obviously lasted longer than their breath. "You okay?" Ye-jun asked, strangely hesitant. Eun-ji wondered what kind of face she was making for him to act that way. "Yes...yes of course I'm okay." She answered swiftly. The pair looked sceptical, which probably had something to do with the way she said it. Even to her own ears, she sounded incredibly defensive.
A beat of silence. "Alright...how about we get out of here and go make a wish?" Lucia, bless her soul, wisely decided to change the subject. Eun-ji had no desire to do much of anything at the moment but she couldn't just sit here and mope for the rest of the evening. She was okay after all. Pocketing the cursed tissues, the Ravenclaw slowly stood up. "Right...I don't see why not." She didn't sound very enthusiastic but neither of her companions decided to comment on it. Instead, Ye-jun took her arm and started pulling her towards the courtyard. "Come on, we don't have much time. The champions for the Hexwizard Tournament will be chosen soon. We have to come back quickly." Eun-ji frowned at that, though she did follow his movement. "You didn't throw your name in, did you?" The boy next to her shrugged. "That better mean no." The witch warned him immediately. He promised not to do so when he arrived. It was going to be dangerous and Eun-ji didn't want to see another family member hurt…or worse. She would poke at the subject more if she had the energy to do so but she didn’t and in any case if he did throw his name into the cup, it would be too late to do anything about it now. Violet in English, Red in Korean and Blue in FrenchYe-jun liked to dance and he quite enjoyed dancing with Lucia but at some point, both of them decided enough was enough. Eun-ji said she’d join them soon and yet there was still no sight of her. Did something happen? The conversation sure didn’t sound pleasant when they were leaving. “I say screw the plan and go check on her?” He offered to Lucia, who seemed to agree pretty much immediately. She was a good friend. With no other option then to start looking where they left the raven-haired girl, the pair slowly made their way towards the potluck table.
“Ah there she is,” the boy muttered under his breath. “Exactly where we left her.” It should have been a good news except…his cousin didn’t look happy. In fact, she looked…lost. That was quite unusual for her. Eun-ji always seemed to know what to do even as a kid. What the hell happened? Ye-jun wondered briefly. He was almost scared to disturb the girl, approaching her as he would a wounded animal. “You okay?” He finally gathered the courage to ask. It was a stupid question really. Clearly she was not and clearly she would not tell him so herself. He should have known better than to ask that sort of question. Thankfully, Lucia appeared to be much smarter than him, offering a distraction rather than interrogating the poor girl. “Yes, we should definitely do that.” He nodded in agreement.
Eun-ji too eventually agreed with the plan and got up to follow them, she just didn’t make much of an effort to actually walk. No matter, Ye-jun could help with that. He grabbed her arm and gently but confidently started pulling her towards the Festival area. There was no time to lose if they wanted to come back for the champion announcement and he said as much aloud. When asked whether he threw his own name into the cup, the boy just shrugged. He didn’t. It would be a lie if he said he hadn’t considered it couple times but he promised Eun-ji that he wouldn’t. It seemed far too important to her to break that promise. He would not tell her however. If nothing else, it at least it made her talk to him.(godmodding approved by Lucia due to her absence/lack of time)

It was nice to see some new faces.
But it was also nice to see some familiar ones too.
Bailey seemed to be a really fun girl to be around and he wondered who she had come with, or if she had come alone. When the girl's smile slipped a bit, Hiro caught the subtle dip but didn't remark on it. After all, he had done the same thing before at times. Bailey might not have wanted anyone to notice. Ae Louca responded to his initial greeting, Hiro nodded, taking in the two new names. Louca. Haley. And Bailey, but hers wasn't a new name for him.
Hah, Bailey and Haley rhymed, their names rhymed!
Enough.
Hiro's brain was going everywhere now.
"There's a bunch of things I'd recommend going on at the ball. But if you haven't done some of them yet you probably won't have time to do them before sign-ups close. I missed out on one of them already." Hiro told Louca. "I just learned you can put your hopes and dreams down on a slip of paper and take them to hang up inside the dragon effigy at the festival. But sign-up are closing soon." He said.
"If you hurry you might be able to make it. There's also two games that will start in a minute as well but sign-ups are closing for that too now. So if you haven't done either, I'd say you have a shot at signing up for at least one of them." Hiro said. "Even if you miss out on both, there's some fun activities out in the festival area I hear. You can always check them out after the announcement." He added.
It was around this time that Haley made her appearance.
Now that he was seeing her from up close, Hiro recognized her and a smile came to his lips.
"Ah, you're that Haley! I wondered if it was you but didn't really see your face until now. And you look way different in that dress! You look great!" Hiro said, praising her outfit and the girl herself too. Hang on, Hiro looked back over at Louca again. Yes, he looked quite familiar to Hiro. "Wait a second, aren't you from Holi 2022?" He asked, letting his gaze linger on Louca. If so, he'd already met him. Could it be the same one?
He looked back over at Haley.
"Yeah, it's great to see you shine at the ball. Your date must be really proud being with you!" Hiro said with a smile. From the look of things, it seemed as if Haley was with Louca? If not, he would be surprised, since it certainly seemed as if they were together. He looked back over at Bailey as the girl asked him how many he'd met so far and sighed, making a face. "It's harder than it sounds. With strangers it's harder." He admitted.
"I don't want to interfere." Hiro told her.
"Not if it looks like there's something serious going on."
"So it's hard to pick and choose. Once there's no serious looks on faces in groups, or they're alone, that's when I'll strike!" Hiro said with a grin.
He blinked when Bailey said something about Cullen skink. "What's that?" Hiro asked, curious. He'd never heard of that type of food before. Upon hearing Bailey say something about sending James to bed, Hiro nodded. It sounded as if this James had been Bailey's date. And that was when the 'crash' happened out of nowhere. As his boomerang flew around, out of control, Hiro grimaced, hoping desperately that nothing bad would happen. It wasn't good.
Hopefully he didn't get into trouble for this.
It wasn't as if he'd brought it to prank anyone, he'd brought it to help bring smiles out.
If he did get in trouble, maybe he could explain this. "Mm. I just hope no one gets hurt. I should have put the boomerang in my satchel instead." Hiro lamented.

Gem sighed, and stuck it in her purse next to her own wish. Right, she’d told him earlier that she was planning to visit the effigy in the courtyard. She had a wish of her own tucked away in her small clutch purse.
“I suppose I can drop this off for you as well.” She deadpanned.
She was reluctant to leave him alone—who knew what else he’d been planning— but she did want to see the rest of the festivities.
Gemima watched as Kim dragged a still flustered Sophia over to the game sign ups. That was one thing that she was choosing to avoid. Apparently, the games involved fire and great heights, both things that did not bode well with her, especially with the poofy, flammable gown she was wearing.
Gem sighed again, and then began making her way towards the Hall’s exit.
“You’re welcome to come with me if you’d like!” She called over her shoulder to Sage. “Otherwise I think we’re meeting back at the potluck table later.”【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】@Kim Sato | @Sage Lilly| @Sophia NelsonAction: Leaving the Healer’s Tent and heading for the Festival Area

Santario sighed gently at the situation at hand. It was too much to ask that Hogwarts didn’t have the drama of some sort. She immensely respected both Serena and Galton, but now was not the time to attempt to argue; instead, she would rather willfully ignore all the drama. This would be increasingly hard to do as events continued to unfold, but she could still try for at least this one moment.Open to Interactions

She willingly followed when Percival agreed to dance and took her hand, leading her onto the floor. As he stepped back and bowed, Santario gave him a smile and a half curtsy. After all, they were not in their pureblood homes where tradition would dictate a full one, nor would she dare to make herself that vulnerable amid this chaos. She moved forward and placed a hand on his shoulder, taking his hand with her other one. A more traditional frame for dancing. “Are you excited about the upcoming tournament announcement?” She asked, looking up at him while still trying to side-eye the impending exploding food table. “I should have said it earlier, but you look very handsome this evening.”
She grinned up at him before correcting herself. “Well, you are handsome all the time.” Santario wasn’t sure she had ever told him that before. Their relationship was not exactly something she was used to. Even in the tiptoeing around it beforehand, when they both had feelings but did not express them, she had never given him any real clue as to how she felt. “Before I forget. I was wondering…” She stalled for a moment, wondering if this was an appropriate time to ask this question. “If you are going home for Easter Holiday, do you think you could ask your mum if I could come? I am sure my grandmother will extend an open invitation for either summer or winter holiday to reciprocate.“ France, with her cold grandmother, was not where she wanted to heal. She wanted to raid Percival’s closet, steal his most comfortable sweater, and get to know his family.

It was fashionably late, which Angél took to heart when it concerned a Hogwart’s ball. She had allowed herself some extra primping time wanting to look flawless for the big announcement tonight. If the cup didn’t choose her as one of its champions, she would consider it obviously broken. In fact, her poor friends had to hear her talk about the tournament incessantly. It was probably a nice reprieve from her talking about boys or broom racing.Open to Interactions
Angél pulled her long honey brown hair over her shoulder and smoothed down the sides of her pink dress while she overlooked the chaos that had already erupted. [“Comment est-ce que c'est déjà un spectacle de merdei”] How is this already a shit show? Disappointed though not surprised, especially after she learned her own cousin had callously allowed a stray spell to hit one of her friends last year and didn’t even apologize.
Though it would seem that not all Hogwarts students were to blame for this disaster. Her eyes spotted a good few Durmstrang students in the middle of the chaos. I wonder if this is chaos because they announced the winners already? Surely not, right? I hope I didn't miss it!! She exclaimed to Maddie and anyone else in earshot of regular speech.

As Madeleine walked into Hogwarts' transformed Great Hall, her brown eyes were immediately drawn to all the flowers. The space was absolutely covered in them, and they gave off a nice floral scent. Her gaze continued around the hall and she thought to herself that the organizers had done some really nice decorations, including the school pride banners. But the thirteen-year-old's attention was quickly drawn away from the pretty decor to the chaos that Angél pointed out. Of course there's already mayhem, she thought, unable to keep from rolling her eyes at the sight. She had learned several Hogwarts journeys ago that these events always ended (or sometimes even began) in some sort of disaster.Regular Text - English | Bolded Text - French | Bolded Black Text - Japanese

The only reason Maddie was here this time was for the Hexwizard champion announcement - there's no way Angél would let her friends miss her crowning moment. And Maddie would definitely want to be there to help keep her friend calm in the event she wasn't chosen. But she wasn't supposed to think that way - stay positive!
"There's no way we missed it," Maddie said confidently, though her eyes scanned the area for any signs otherwise. The goblet was still up there on display and no professors were looming over it like they had announced anything. And there was no "congratulations" being whispered among the crowd. As she looked, her eyes did land on a familiar figure by the food tables.
"Oh look, there's Cass, she can confirm," Maddie said, gesturing towards the blonde girl and starting to lead the way a few steps towards the food table. "Cass! Over here!" Maddie and Angél met Cass in a space between, positioned well to see the Goblet.

The shout hit him like a punch in the gut, both the content of her words and the tone in which they were delivered served to send him proverbially sprawling. He’d been rejected, he’d put himself out there, finally confessed his feelings and had those feelings rejected wholesale in front of the entire school. Colour drained from his cheeks, and he winced, the hurt not the least bit hidden from view. The worst bit was that he knew he had no one to blame apart from himself. He’d treated her poorly, denied his feelings, and all but blamed her for everything that had approached a failing in their nascent relationship. In the end, Nicholas understood that he deserved the rejection and the humiliation that came along with it. That did little to lessen the sting, rather, it served to only increase its bite.
He wanted to react, but he couldn’t think of what to say, couldn’t think of what to do. Only his instinctual shock was painted across his face, the look of hurt raw and pure.
Aurora’s smile and admission of the joke wiped that look away in a fraction of a second. His emotions were a tumult. One one hand, anger and frustration threatened to boil to the surface, she’d tricked him, played with his emotions, and thrown his heart through a loop. On the other, he was far too happy to even begin to process any true rage. The smile that broke across his face was the widest it had been in months, an expression of pure and undiluted joy.
“Yeah,” He beamed, logical thoughts fading into the static of his estaticity, “We’re good.”
All finally seemed right in the world, the apathy and boyhood rage but distant memories in light of the colourful future that the girl in the unicorn onesie promised. She was smiling, bloodshot eyes notwithstanding, and so close to him. His heart beat furiously, the constant drum of the organ threatening to burst out his chest.
He too stepped forward, and reached out to hold her hands in his, an action as intimate as he’d risk. Holding hands, staring into her eyes. It had been months of teasing and crushes, and only now, did Nicholas finally feel at peace with where he was, and with whom.
That emotion, one true, not poisoned by potions or enchantment, caused the lion to act in accordance with the boldness of his house. Once again, Nicholas McCowan would attempt to kiss Aurora Ranvier. A chaste kiss, flavoured with embarrassment and nervousness, but he could not deny his emotions any longer.
