As soon as he'd woken up, Hiro had been up and about the place. This was no time to sleep, not when they were at a foreign school and there was so much to do! Yes, it was a little early, but that didn't tend to stop him. Many people weren't early risers, which meant he had a chance to find them and make a nuisance of himself until they acknowledged him! Hiro had already washed his face and gotten ready.

He'd already done the usual early morning routines that everyone did when they first woke up. Now it was time to go out and make some 'friends' and bug the ones he'd set his eyes on and hadn't gotten into his clutches yet! The campgrounds were actually pretty decent for a place that housed guest schools and Hiro had always loved nature. The log cabins were a nice touch too. The air was nice and fresh too.

Hiro stared up at the sky and closed his eyes.

There was something about Hogwarts that seemed magical by nature.

Yes, an ironic choice of words. Of course it was magical, they were all magic schools. But that wasn't the impression he meant.

He thought about the things he'd seen at Hogwarts so far and was excited about the upcoming events. They really had seemed to pull out all the stops for them. Not only was there the Hexwizard Tournament but the Blossom Ball was taking place and some kind of colorful event too. The latter was intriguing to him as it happened to deal with colors. Hiro loved all colors, especially when it came to clothes and hair.

It was supposed to take place tomorrow on the 21st, in the afternoon during the free period that Hogwarts students had at the time. Holi 2022 was the name of the event and Hiro fully intended on joining them. It was a great place to meet new people and to have fun with colors, what more could one ask for? He tilted his head to the side to ease out the kinks in his neck and headed towards Hogwarts Castle.

If he had heard them right, breakfast was served at Hogwarts around this time.

And he was curious to see what types of food they would serve. Would it just be American food or would there be Asian food too? Regardless, he was hungry.

Whatever type of food it was, Hiro would eat it and just because it wasn't Asian didn't mean it wasn't delicious. It was just that Asian stuff was comfort food for him, especially Japanese and Korean cuisine, the former being more to his preference than the latter. Still, he wasn't picky and would eat anything available. But just as he was stepping out of the campgrounds area, someone ran into him.

Due to having great balance from Quidditch, Hiro didn't stumble or fall and his body merely absorbed the hit, as he looked down at the offender. It was a girl and she had very pretty, curly red hair, which made a smile come to his lips. She also had freckles and lovely green eyes. "Hey there, slow down a little! There's no rush!" Hiro said with a smile and extended a hand out to the girl who had fallen.

"I haven't seen you around yet, are you from one of the visiting schools or are you a Hogwarts student?" He asked, letting his eyes flicker over her form for a moment. Going from the robes she was wearing, it looked like she was from Hogwarts. But Hiro couldn't be sure. Mahoutokoro didn't tend to pay much attention to foreign schools, unless it was for their own purposes. It just wasn't of interest.

Once she was up, Hiro smiled at her.

"Hiro Bakugo. You are?" He asked with an arched brow.

Haley blinked a few times until she finally managed to open her eyes. She was blinded by the sunlight and it took a few seconds for her green eyes to adjust to the brightness. Murmuring, she turned over in her bed one more time, stretched all the limbs from her body, tensed all the muscles and it felt like she was now 5 centimetres taller. Again she turned and was now lying on her back, her gaze on the ceiling and then to the window. She saw the blue sky and a satisfied smile formed on her lips. She lay there like that for a few seconds until her eyes snapped open in panic. "Damn, Damn, Damn." She started cursing and hopped out of her bed. She had overslept, she wanted to go train today before the field was blocked by others. There had only been one free slot early in the morning, which the redhead Rose actually wanted to use.

Hectically she stumbled across the room, into the bathroom, brushed her teeth, changed quickly and stumbled down the stairs into the common room. Haley didn't know what time it was exactly, but she hoped that she would have enough time to train for at least half an hour. But she had to hurry. She ran down the stairs through the castle, past all the students on their way to breakfast. Breakfast, right. She would need at least something in her stomach, so she took a quick diversions into the Great Hall, ran to the Gryffindor table, grabbed one of the green apples and bit into it. "Morning and see you later!" she called out to her friends in a barely intelligible voice, turned and ran out of the Great Hall.

Besides running, she periodically tried to take a bite of her apple, chewing and swallowing, dodging the many students and not tripping over anything. The whole thing worked surprisingly well until she heard someone calling her name. She turned around and tried to find the source, but was unsuccessful. What Haley didn't realise was that she wasn't going to stop running and as it happened, she ran into an obstacle and landed on her back, the apple rolled out of her hand and she looked around, puzzled. It took her a moment to realise what had happened and her eyes finally fell on the hand in front of her.

At that moment she realised what had happened. Her obstacle had not just been an obstacle, but a boy. He is tall, has brown eyes but the most striking feature was his hair, which was pink. Her eyes lingered on his hair for a moment and she grinned at the sight, loving it at first sight. Haley grabbed his hand, "I am so so sorry!" she apologised and stood back up, patting the dirt off, "Are you okay?" she asked, even though he made no pretence that the collision had affected him in any way.

"Yes, Hogwarts." She laughed, scratching the back of her head. "What about you?" she inquired. She didn't mean to be rude, but her eyes kept darting around the campgrounds, actually she was going to practice and didn't have time but at the same time she had just run into someone here. Before she could have apologised again she suddenly saw a group of students bundled up in training clothes walking towards the Quidditch Pitch. At that moment, Haley knew it was too late and somewhat disappointed, she slumped her shoulders and at the same time now focused her full attention on the tall boy in front of her.

"I'm Haley Rose." She now introduced herself and mimicked his arched brow look, not sure how to interpret it.

Hiro smiled back at the girl who took his outstretched hand and got to her feet again.

"Not a problem!" He said with a shake of his head.

Glancing down at the ground, Hiro stooped to pick up the apple with a bite out of it. "Yeah, I'm fine. Here, you dropped your apple. Even though it's a little dirty, all you need to do is wipe it off and it'll be good." He told her with a nod and let his eyes flicker over her for a moment. She seemed a little distracted, could she have something on her mind? "You going somewhere?" Hiro asked, curious and as she spoke, gave her a smile.

"I'm from Mahoutokoro." He told her and watched as Haley's eyes darted back and forth behind him. Yup, she was definitely looking for something, or going somewhere. Before he could speak though, suddenly her shoulders slumped and a look of disappointment crossed her features. Hiro turned his head to look over his shoulder and saw a group of students walking together in training outfits for Quidditch. So that was what she'd been about to do.

"Oh, were you going to train for Quidditch?" He asked her.

"Did you need to catch up with your teammates?" Hiro added, not sure if he was keeping her from her practice. If he was, he'd reassure her that she could leave.

Haley accepted the apple, rubbed it clean against her top a few times and took another bite. "Thanks." She giggled again, she was really lucky with her collisions most of the time and again he didn't take offence at what had happened. "Um, no nowhere." She said as she realised she really had no destination now. "I was actually on my way to train but I lost track of time a bit and now it's too late." She shrugged, it could have been worse.

"Oh nice! I haven't met anyone from Mahoutokoro yet." She remarked and rejoiced at the same time. It seemed Hiro noticed her looks and she felt bad, she didn't want to give the impression that she was in any way disinterested and looked at him apologetically. "Yeah right, Quidditch actually but like I said, I'm a bit late I'm afraid. But it's all in good fun." She explained to the boy now, trying to convince him that there was no rush.

"So now that my plans have changed and I happen to have some time, do you feel like sitting down here with me. Maybe you can tell me about Mahoutokoro and you?" Haley now suggested, gesturing with her gaze to a free bench. She waited for his reaction and would then go there with him. As Haley was, she would sit comfortably cross-legged on the bench and turn sideways to Hiro to look at him while they talked.

"So as you already know I play Quidditch. What about you? Quidditch? Broom racing? Or a sports hater maybe?" She winked at him and giggled. Haley was as cheerful and open as they knew her to be. Even if the day didn't go as she might have planned, it was a good day. She enjoyed the still gentle rays of the sun on her skin, the fresh air in her nose as it slowly filled her lungs and the nice company of a yet unknown boy she would hopefully meet in a few moments.

Haley seemed to be a nice girl.

Hiro liked her, yup he'd decided he liked her already, just because of that one reason.

The fact that she wasn't about to let the apple go to waste was also a great thing about her. So many non-Asians tended to waste food when it wasn't to their liking, or they dropped it on the ground or floor. Haley's explanation of how she had been going to train but now it was too late made Hiro think. It didn't make sense if the people he'd seen before were her teammates. Which implied, they weren't, but had been going to do the same thing as Haley.

Ah, that made more sense.

He looked over at the quickly disappearing group of Quidditch team members.

They were headed in the direction of the Quidditch Pitch and a thought occurred to him. But before he could speak, Haley spoke again, distracting him from his thoughts.

Hiro nodded. "I've met a few from Hogwarts so far and someone from one of the foreign schools. But so far that's it. I want to meet everyone though if I can while I'm here. I love meeting new people and once I hear a name and attribute it to a face, I never forget it. I kind of have a partial photographic memory one might call it, but it's not a full one." He said and then continued his explanation without pause.

"You know, someone with a full one has no choice but to remember absolutely everything they've ever heard, seen or encountered. And they aren't able to forget anything, which can possibly lead to mental health issues in the future, since the brain can only handle so much at a time. But for me, I can be selective with what I remember since I only have a partial one." He abruptly stopped himself.

And then made a face. "Sorry, I tend to ramble sometimes."

When Haley suggested that he sit down with her on the bench, Hiro smiled at the girl.

He went over and took a seat beside her.

Hiro's outer pinkish-white jacket pulled down on him a bit as he was now sitting on part of it. He raised his butt and pulled the part out, letting it flow out behind him and sat again.

"Mahoutokoro is much different from Hogwarts. Hogwarts is so vast and has a mysterious air to it, don't you agree? How do you find Hogwarts? What year are you?" Hiro asked, curious. "Ah, I love Quidditch. I'm actually on the first string on Mahoutokoro's Quidditch team." Hiro told her with a smile. "What about you? Are you on your team for Hogwarts?" He asked, letting his eyes linger. She probably was.

Coming out this early to try and get in some practice?

Who else but someone who was on the Quidditch team would do that?

Or at the very least if she wasn't on the team, she seemed to want to get onto the team. If she kept this up, Hiro had no doubt that when a spot opened up, she'd ace the test and get on the team. Speaking of Quidditch, that reminded him. "You know, if you really want to get in some practice, you can come with me. I wanted to get some breakfast before it's over but we still have some time." Hiro said, thinking for a moment about his idea.

"Hogwarts apparently gave all the visiting schools a slot for practicing Quidditch while we're here. We get it once a day at the time given to us. The time changes every day to try and accommodate all the visiting schools preferences. If we want more time, or a change for the time, we have to apply for a slot ahead of time to get more." Hiro told her and nodded towards the direction she'd been going in.

"That being said, our time today started at 7AM and will run until 9AM. I know none of our members are going to practice today, so we didn't ask for a change in time. So, the field is going to waste right now. No one else applied to change their time either from the visiting schools. You want to get some practice in? If I go with you, they should be fine with it." Hiro suggested with a smile and waited a bit.

It wasn't on the Quidditch Pitch, it was on the Quidditch Training Pitch.

But they were both in the same general direction.

Haley had to laugh, "I don't think it will be possible for you to really meet EVERYONE." It was a pleasant change to see how excited Hiro was. "Wow, that sounds cool. So I guess your grades are extra good?" she said excitedly now, wondering if her school day would be easier if she had the gift Hiro possessed. She listened intently to his explanations and was amazed at what he said. "Wow, I didn't know that. That's really interesting."

"Oh no no, no worries at all!" she tried to reassure him. She liked that he was so open and that a conversation had developed so quickly between them. She liked that kind of company and people with whom it just seemed easy. Hiro exuded an immense ease and she enjoyed his manner. "Really, I loved to hear all this stuff." She said sincerely and smiled at him.

"Yeah, Hogwarts is really mysterious and it's one reason why I love it." Haley could rave about this place for hours. About this world, about the magic, about all the creatures and what else was hiding. She couldn't wait to learn more, see more, eventually travel the world and meet wizards and witches all over the world. "I'm in my second year and I love Quidditch too. I'm first string chaser on the Gryffindor team. What position do you play?"

Haley didn't have to think long about his offer and she was already babbling away, "Yeah that sounds good, we can go to the Great Hall together and maybe practice together afterwards." She agreed with his plan and before she could voice her doubts that the place was already taken, Hiro already revealed the solution. "That sounds logical, I hadn't thought of that. But then that's perfect if you have a slot to train for today."

"Let's make it a plan!" she said enthusiastically and jumped up from the bench. She looked up at him expectantly, "Le'ts go, we shouldn't waste any time." She laughed and waited for him to get up as well so they could get on their way.
