i took melatonin (the correct amount this time) and it was working but i had to stay up to wash dishes and now i can't sleep

That sucks. I did karaoke with my mom and sister for 6 hours, so on top of attempting to cancel out this caffeine in my system with some medicine to help me sleep (not melatonin because that stuff doesn't work for me), my throat is now sore.
