First Visit to the Library Closed

Rae scanned over the map with her small fingers, tracing the lines of the ground floor and finding classrooms, the Great Hall, and the Entrance Hall, as well as something called the "Womping Willow" and the Quidditch Training Grounds. It wasn't very detailed, and stilled referred to the basement as "dungeons." While she did not know it at the time, a few of the rooms had been changed since 1945, too, but other than that, the map was correct. The were many labels that seemed rather foreboding to Rae, like "Restricted Section" "Forbidden Corridor" and "Forbidden Forest". In fact, there were many places that it looked like they were simply not allowed to go.

"If we're not allowed to go there, why name them like this? Why not just call them all restricted?" she mused, tapping one of the names.

It was then that a boy in Hufflepuff robes approached them.

"Well well, hey, Shelly."

Rae looked up, confused. She wondered, immediately, who he was talking to and then wondered if he had gotten them confused with some other people.

"Shelly...?" Rae murmured, barely audibly and followed his gaze to Makena. "Makena, do you...?" she asked, thoroughly confused. She glanced between Maggie and Makena and then back at the boy, not sure if she should say something to him or wait for Makena to speak.

"Really? Yes, I would absolutely love that!"

Rae's smile faded into a sad, soft grin and she shrugged,

"I guess I'll let you know if I get any clues as to who they were."

Makena was going to say something when Maggie came in and tripped over herself, and then she stood up before Rae or Makena could get up to help her. Maggie sat down at the table with them, looking a bit flustered.

"I forgot it was Saturday."

Maggie mumbled and Rae let out a laugh before covering her mouth and apologising.

"Since it is Saturday, we should think about doing something fun! I don't have any homework yet, and there's plenty of places around the school grounds to explore."

Rae popped up and wandered over to a nearby shelf, scanning the spines of the books.

"I bet one of these books has a map in it."

Both Maggie and Makena got up and started helping Rae look for  map.

"Hey! I found a map!"

Maggie said, beckoning them over. It was a map of the castle and the school grounds. Maggie then handed the book over to Rae and Makena also looked at it "Published by wizarding press, printing copyright 1945 wow that was a while ago."

"The first page is a map of the school grounds!"

Maggie said excitedly "Well that was lucky, good find Maggie. So where do you guys want to go ?"

"If we're not allowed to go there, why name them like this? Why not just call them all restricted?"

Rae mused, tapping one of the names. Just as Makena said this she heard a familiar voice behind her. 

"Well well, hey Shelley."

Makena turned around quickly, it was Noah they were friends back in the muggle world.

"Shelly...? Makena, do you...?"

Rae asked looking very confused She glanced between Maggie and Makena and then back at the boy"Noah! Oh my god Hi" Makena said giving Noah a big hug, "Sorry for not introducing you guys Noah this is Rae and Maggie we all met on platform 9 and 3/4. Guys Noah is my friend from the muggle world." Makena paused "Oh the 'Shelley thing yeah that's a stupid nickname Noah gives me because he knows I hate it just ignore him sorry for the confusion." Makena slightly giggled before talking again " So you're a Hufflepuff looks like I have three friends in Hufflepuff now." Makena said with a smile.

Maggie gave a little smile to noah, and checked her watch. "Oh, sorry guys! I have to attend a meeting for redheads, as odd as it sounds." Said Maggie, getting up, and walking out of the library.
