Ari was bored out of his mind. This whole party was a waste of time. And why was it storming inside? What idiot decided to make it rain in the Great Hall? This was beyond unideal.

He remembered where he had seen posters for events going on. Maybe he should try one of those?

He made his way over to the tables where students were crowding around sheets of paper. This must've been the right place.

The first event was a Firewalking Obstacle Course. Definitely something to avoid. The other one, however, was doable. Flying Torch Tag. Ari was on Ravenclaw's broom racing team, so he surely had the capability to compete in this. It couldn't be worse than the race he competed in back in January.

He quickly scribbled his name down on the sign up sheet, then shuffled back over to his space of boredom and conflicting thoughts.

That didn't last long. Now he was hungry. The potluck wasn't too far away, so Ari went over there to check out what international cuisines he could try for the first time.

He immediately picked out two Korean dishes thanks to the time he'd spent with Jihoon, his Korean friend from before Hogwarts. He would have to find whoever made these and address them personally. Beyond that were French dishes, sushi, European dishes, soups, Indian food, and varying pastries that looked very pleasing to the eye. He'd have to try every single one! But for now, he stuck with the tteokbokki, which turned out to be delicious.

His gaze wandered back to Draven and Juni as they shared in the joys of the night. If only he could feel the same as they did. But now was not the time to wallow in self pity. That could wait until bedtime.

A voice? Someone speaking to him? Ari turned quickly to find a boy in a plague mask approaching him. Credit to the choice of style was due. Ari quite loved the mask.

"Ah, yes, um...a busy night indeed." His guard goes up once he speaks, and he retreats into himself. He was still trying to figure out who this masked marauder was. Ari was taller than average, so this boy was short compared to him. What did he want?

"If it isn't food, then its either food followed by Winnie screeching" Gray said with a roll of his eyes, soon following what San was looking at. His eyes rested on a white haired boy, an international student from Dumstrang who she seemed to know well. He nodded slowly as she explained they were pen pals and the fact he had gifted her the jacket she was seen wearing regularly "You will have to introduce him to me when there's a chance. I'd be more than happy to pick his brain on Dumstrang matters"

Turning to San, he lightly locked his fingers and stood before her with a slight yet inviting smile "How about we grab ourselves a few drinks first, then go and dance the night away?" he said in almost a whisper, his nose almost touching his partners. Although, just before he could do anything else an upbeat voice spoke up from behind him.

Percival turned and raised a brow at the newcomer before looking to the obnoxiously strong Gryffindor with a quick, respectful nod. He'd always be grateful to Howard for helping save San, nothing would change that. Looking back to Galton with an unimpressed look his expression only got worse when he unintentionally called San ugly. Gray's jaw tightened when he offered a plate of rolls their way, using every of his sanity not to slap the words out of his mouth right there and then. He knew Santario could look after herself, but when someone did it with him close by he couldn't help but defend her honour no matter what.

"It's funny you say that, considering you behaved better when stuffing your face with sweets everyday. I'm surprised you're plate isn't filled with it, at least it would help shutting your mouth..." he said sternly to the boy, his cold blue eyes piercing into Galtons soul. It was only broken away when his hand calmly pushed the plate back into his chest, careful as to not make a mess spilling his grub all over him. He didn't want to embarrass the boy further, the word of warning was enough.

Soon, his gaze rested on Serena. Percival had seen her around, but never had a chance to properly speak to her until now "Hello, I believe you're Towers correct?" Gray asked in his usual demeanour, snapping his gaze between the two of them "I hope you can have a word with your boyfriend over here, a reminder of sorts to choose his words wisely next time" he said with more emphasis on the last word.

James led Bailey through the courtyard and back into the Great Hall. He was having such a wonderful night with her. They had just finished making their flower crowns which laid crooked upon their heads in a silly manner thanks to James. Before that Bailey had tried some of the soup James had made, he had decided he would cook for her more often and hoped she would still bake treats for him. That was his first time cooking since he had been at Hogwarts and it was for her. Well not just for her but he was still glad she liked it.

He looked to her before leading her farther into the Great hall. Because of how many students there, they had to stick to a smaller area not being able to move much. James would be sure to promise her a better dance sometime soon but until then he did with what he could.

He took a bow before placing one hand just below her shoulder blade before taking her other in his own. He took a step forward then stepped to the right. It was a basic waltz box step but he would adjust it a little. He began to take bigger steps spinning the both of them in a circle. He looked at her with a smile on his face.

As James led her back into the Great Hall to go dance, Bailey had a huge grin. She was having a wonderful night, so full of happy memories and friends. When James had made her crown crooked to match his, she smiled, gratefully that he did not mind being goofy.
As they walked into the Great Hall, James leading Bailey, she noticed all of the people. everyone in all of the schools must be here she though. Realizing that that was probably true, she nodded to a few people she recognized, and a few people who were clearly staff.
When he bowed and offered her his hand, she smiled, accepted it and curtsied. As he placed one hand under shoulder blade and held onto the other, he began a basic waltz. Glad she had listened to her mum and read about how to dance some basic dances, Bailey went along and even was capable when James began to take bigger steps, twirling them around in circles. Laughing, Bailey spun and twirled, her dance fanning out. Glad yet again that her mum had advised her to practice in her heels, Bailey’s bostaff disguised as a bracelet clinked with her other bracelets, reminding her that it was there.

Apparently arriving fashionably late to these balls was becoming quite the trend for Enzo. The event appeared to already be in full bloom as he stepped into the great hall, but that was no matter for surely nothing noteworthy would happen without him there anyways.

His hands lay in the pockets of his chic and unsurprisingly all black suit as he entered the hall, and his trusty wand was tucked away in his sleeve just in case he had another unwanted juice encounter. In the last ball, when he was faced with such idiocy, he had held back and let the infamous juice-throwing crook get away with only ruining his shoes, but unfortunately for whoever may get the idea to attempt this next, he was not going to let something like that slide again. He had come more prepared this time around.

This time, much similar to the last ball, he had decided that he was not feeling the need for a date. So he showed up solo, which was not an issue whatsoever in his book, for he was certain he would come across something entertaining sooner or later. That was always a guarantee at these Hogwarts balls. They were truly never lacking in the entertainment area. It was exactly that which kept drawing Enzo back time and time again.

Looking around the sea of people for the familiar faces of his friends, Enzo took note to keep an eye out for them as he made his way through the hall. Despite coming here knowing well what he was getting himself into, he had to admit, large groups of people yammering loudly and scampering all over the place in such a manner was still not his absolute favourite thing to say very least.

As eyes grazed across the room, his gaze rested upon a few people- or rather a certain person, he would have preferred not to have seen ( the person also known as the cackling weirdo and wink boy Hanako's previous date - Alec). While Enzo was going to make sure he stayed ten feet away from that lad if he could help it, that did not stop him from sending an irritated glare in his direction. Whether the boy had noticed due to currently being occupied in what appeared to be a conversation, was not important and he would continue to observe him judgementally for a couple more moments regardless if his stare was detected or not, before moving on and continuing to look around the room. Though once he had fully turned away, he shook his head to himself. Gosh, he could still not get over what a distasteful choice that chump had been on wink boy's part.

After seeing that he recognized no one else of importance to him, along with the growing feeling of discomfort around so many energetic people, Enzo had the bright idea to go and take a stroll to the second location that had been put to use for this event. It was outside, and presumably a little less crowded - or at least more spread out, so perhaps it would be more up to his speed.
Plus, maybe one of his friends would have found their way over there. And not to forget that he would be able to get far away from the vicinity of that Alec boy, greatly decreasing the chance that they would run into each other, so all in all, it was really a great idea.

So without another thought, Enzo strode out of the Great Hall and began to make his way toward the outdoor festival.

Extressia came back to the Great Hall, unsure where Kai was in the crowd, so she begin searching walking quickly with every step, trying to avoid the unfamiliar people laughing and talking and eating, she felt alone which was a somewhat new feeling and scared which was expected, as she darts around, trying her best to find Kai but with no success, she was already nervous but now it two-fold
"Is he not here? If he has other plans I thought he told me." Extressia thought glumly, and at that moment she was distracted, she didn't notice she was still walking, so she took a wrong step, and something must have been in that step cause it knock her out of her thoughts as she fell, instinctively she grabs onto a random stranger and they both fell onto the ground. When Extressia regained her awareness, she wasn't injured physically, but mentally she was ashamed.
Extressia felt terrible for making them fall, without looking at them she begin to panic: "I'm am so sorry, I was trying to find my partner at the ball and must h-h-have trip on something. Can you tell me your name, and what I owe you?" she asked nervously, looking downward in shame.
Action: Return from festival. Try to find Kai, make her and another person fell onto the ground.

Excited for her second ball, Tarja fluttered into the Great Hall - unaccompanied, because she didn't have the patience to wait for the boys to get ready. She wore the same dress as last time, the one her babushka (grandmother) had made with her own frail hands. It wasn't quite as splendid as the posh fairy-tale dresses most of the other girls wore, but it was the only one she had. Anyway, it seemed unlikely that anyone would judge her for the modest outfit, and she didn't much care even if they did.

The floral decorations were beautiful, the lively chatter emanating from the massive room made her want to mingle, and the sight of the fiery cup placed at the center of the gathering made her itch with excitement. Today would be a wonderful day. Hopefully, the loud squabbles that seemed to be already breaking out here and there wouldn't affect this event quite as badly as they did the last one.

Before proceeding further into the lavish hall, she caught sight to the paper sheets that some teenagers were scribbling on. Curious, she approached them to see descriptions of activities, and a list of people who registered for them. She wished she could sign up for both; running on hot coals was something Tarja had never tried. However, she ended up selecting the game that involved brooms, since it seemed like it would offer more action and interpersonal competition.

As she moved away from the door, her eyes scanned the room, seeking familiar faces. Perhaps Dima or Fedya would have shown up already? Or anyone else she knew from school. The only face she recognized, though, was that of Smith. The misplaced American boy who should have gone to Ilvermorny, but was instead attending Koldovstoretz without any good reason - and stood out as blatantly non-Russian in everything he did. At the moment, he seemed to be talking to some unfamiliar girl. Then Tarja blinked, and he was aiming his wand at someone. The blonde was just close enough to make out the incantation, albeit couldn't recognize what effects the spell was supposed to produce. She drew in a sharp breath, suddenly worried. An unprovoked attack like that could make their school look bad; would these western kids even realize that Smith wasn't Russian and didn't really represent the country, or even Koldovstoretz? She hoped so. The image of her school shouldn't be tarnished by some cowboy-wannabe impostor.

Hunter was a bit surprised by his newfound confidence. It felt eccentric and rather new. Being under the influence of a potion (even though this one is fake) was something that he always found interesting. Each one had its own taste and different feeling, but the fake one he just took felt like nothing he's ever tried before. With it, he felt he could do all sorts of things. He felt like he could duel anyone, but he knew to focus his newfound feeling on his evening with Judith. Also, with his newfound confidence, he was able to see that Judith was probably just as nervous about all of this. Hunter hoped he wasn't making Judith too uncomfortable, but he also found it rather cute how she blushed.

Then, to his surprise, Judith accepted his invite to the dancefloor. He was a bit surprised by how she was taking lead by taking a grasp on both of his hands. Her movements were rather odd, and possibly amusing to other sightseers. To Hunter, he might have agreed if he was just watching rather than being a part of the dance. Although, he could feel that some of Judith's movements weren't quite as smooth as he was expecting. Still, she smiled and was clearly having fun. Hunter took note and tried his best not to trip over her dress again and smiled along with her. Even if their childish dance made little sense or seemed extremely odd, he wasn't going to ruin the mood for her.

As the dancing continued, Hunter could tell that some things began to feel more fluid. Still holding onto Judith's hands, they swapped back and forth between who was taking the lead since it didn't seem like they quite knew what they were doing. They were like two different tempo's at the start, one either going too fast or too slow, but it soon began to become a new one that felt rather in sync.

Eventually, Hunter's thoughts began to run in his head again. Why was he acting like this? Again, normally he would have just left the ball and not even wasted a fake potion that he thought was real for something like a dance. He wondered if this is what having a close friend was like. Was there more to it? He didn't know. All he knew is that logic, evaluations, and analysis of himself or people weren't the only ways to learn.

With his feet beating to a joyful drum and tempo, Hunter eventually decided to start up another conversation: "Hehe, I must say your movements are rather free and filled with joy Judith. I wish I was half a good dancer like you." The dancing right now was nothing like it was when Hunter was influenced by the dancing feet spell. The spell would force a person to dance with varying intensity and had the potential to not stop despite how exhausted one could have been. Now though, he could move at whatever tempo felt best.

His eyes also noticed a few students entering the great hall with flower crowns or even animalistic masks. It piqued his curiosity: "Judith look around. Some students have flower crowns and even painted masks. Would you like to go towards the Courtyard and join in?" Tonight was to be fun and adventurous right? Hunter was already being overfilled with new emotions he hadn't experienced much at Hogwarts before. He wanted to experience more rather than know more.
Action: Going to the Festival Area if @Judith Cohen agrees. If not, Hunter will continue dancing.

There were a great deal of people all around the Great Hall, dancing, talking, and even fighting for some unknown reason. Selena worried that she wouldn't be able to find Grayson in the mass of students and professors. After all, the Great Hall was very large and there was an outdoor festival area that Grayson might have wandered out to first.

That's when she heard his voice call from behind her. Turning around, she found his familiar face as he made his way toward her. He looked quite handsome in his red suit she thought as he approached. "Not at all, I've only just arrived here," she replied with a soft smile reserved for her childhood friend. "Um, you look nice," he told her with a slight stutter. Selena blushed lightly and glanced down before looking back to meet his eyes again. "Thank you. You look nice as well."

The amount people just seemed to keep growing by the second as more and more arrived to the ball. They all looked beautiful in their fancy outfits for the special occasion, but Selena only had eyes for Grayson tonight. Looking around at the growing crowd, she asked softly, "Do you want to get out of this crowded area? Perhaps we could go outside and catch up a bit more?"

Inwardly she hoped that he would agree and they could talk with each other like when they had been kids. It was so easy then to sit around for hours with no worries and simply talk about their wishes and talk about things only children could. What she wouldn't give to go back to those days of innocence. She imagined much must have changed in his life, just as much had changed in hers.

Louca did a weird one sided mouth grin as he surveyed the room, trying to decide what the most interesting area looked like. He was hoping that it would be just as easy to converse with Haley as before, but he also didn’t want to count on it. He tried to get a better glimpse at the outside activities, as he had been blind to them when coming in because he was so nervous. And honestly, he was still nervous, but was doing his best to keep his mind off of it. After all, it wouldn’t be any kind of help to sweat too much or become tongue tied or something like that. That would just be so very awkward.

Hearing a voice, he turned to face them, realizing it was Haley. “Hey! Glad you could make it.” Louca wanted to face palm himself. How much more awkward could he be. Seriously one would think he hadn’t made conversation or even talked to Haley before. But the suit was to blame, he was sure of that. Or maybe Haley’s dress. She looked beautiful and it took a moment to realize that he should actually verbalize the thought.

“Thank you! You look absolutely beautiful.” Louca stood there, shoving his hands into his pockets, unsure what he should do now. Really, he was usually smoother than this. What the heck was going on? And why couldn’t it just stop? He did not need this to happen and completely derail the evening. He had been looking forward to it beforehand, and he was determined that it would happen. Realizing he had once more been staring a little too long, he turned his head slightly to surveil the room. Bringing his head back quickly, Louca grinned, nodding and adding a quick okay to the nod.

“Thank you, it never seems to stay straight. Ummmm…how are you? Are you hungry?” Louca’s eyes had caught on the food that was slowly building as more students arrived, and that was the first thing to pop to mind. “It looks like there’s a ton of different things. I also saw there were some sign-ups for activities, I think, but I haven’t had a chance to take a look. Any guesses?” Louca stopped himself, worried that he wouldn’t be able to do so if he continued much longer. And then it would likely turn into a crazy ramble that would make no sense and Haley would likely run away screaming. Which was certainly not what he wanted.
