Midspring Celebration
Hunter was a bit surprised by Judith's frozen expression. He was typically the one who froze in embarrassment or nervous shock, but to see another student like Judith be frozen with a bright reddish hue was rather interesting for him to witness. At first, he presumed he did something wrong but became relieved when Judith thanked him. The crimson rose, her golden locks, and the vibrant blue dress and eyes made Judith appear very colorful and life-like to Hunter. He was stunned for a second before he could quite respond to her question, "U-Uhm... I suppose..." Hunter was having a bit of an issue thinking about an answer. His anxiety was fluctuating all over the place for varying reasons. Judith seemed to have the capability of causing Hunter to be less or more anxious rather randomly, and he still wondered why he offered to place a rose in her hair. It did look rather lovely, but he isn't even sure if he knew what lovely quite looked like. The only answer he could give if someone asked him that would be Judith during the ball.
"I... I suppose Aconite... or umm... you may know it a bit better as wolfsbane," Hunter was having more difficulty in his words, but he was at least able to say something: "I-it's most likely not here at the ball because it's rather poisonous, b-but I just like how it can be used in potions. It has an interesting hi-" Hunter stopped himself in his words. Being the way he is, he was about to go and talk about the meaning and wording behind the aconite plant. Realizing that having a lecture on poisonous plants and potions seemed rather inappropriate or closer to a mood killer. Hunter needed just a bit more courage to pull himself through and try and not be a nerd for a bit, "I-it has a rather lovely shade of purple is all. Not as lovely as the rose in your hai-," again he cut himself off. Hunter's gaze shifted downward at the floor, again he said something he wasn't quite sure as to why. By the end of tonight he was going to have a face so red that someone would assume he was underage drinking, and a lot of questions too. "Umm.. give me a quick moment..."
Hunter turned his back on Judith and reached into his tux. Taking out a small vial that his father had sent him. A paper attached to the vial (which he left in his dorm) explained that it was a potion meant to be an incredible confidence booster. Unbeknownst to Hunter though, it was just meer water. Hunter always looked up to his father and trusted the man greatly. He also knew his father was probably one of the best potioneers that he knew. Thus, this resulted in Hunter completely believing the small glass vial was a potion, when in fact it was (again) just ordinary water. Originally he was hoping to save it for a much more important matter since he was never originally planning on staying at the ball. However, the anxiety was beginning to take a strong mental toll on the young boy, and he really needed to relieve himself; especially since the plan of leaving has now changed to attending the ball. He swiftly did a motion to drink the vial and gave a few seconds for the placebo feeling to run its course.
With a deep breath, a circuit spark came to Hunter.
Hunter was always flexible when it came to movement, always quick on his feet, and capable of matching or creating his own tempo. Dancing came naturally to him, he just could never dance in a crowd. The only time he really danced in front of a crowd was when he was hit with the dancing feet spell during an event with other students. In fact, he recalled he did a bunch of backflips while under the spell; something he hadn't done in a while. A joyful tempo was played by the band in the Great hall, and Hunter wondered if he'd be able to pull at least one flip by the end of the night.
He swiftly turned back to Judith with a rather kind and joyful smile, "Well Judith, are you feeling adventerous?," Hunter lifted and offered his hand towards Judith. It may have been hard to tell since Hunter was already showing a relaxed confident facade, but his tone of voice and expression seemed a lot more different. Tonight he was going to do his best to enjoyable and rememberable.

Clair smiled at the flowers, There was something charming about him, and the way he tried so hard so hard to make her happy, she smirked "I knew it! I knew you were lying! What did you really say? I won't get mad, if it was about Ar- the co-Captain, we're just talking right now, nothing more, so I won't kill you if you say something about him, after all he is not really what I like." She felt super guilty saying it, but after being in the RoR with Edward once he had left her mind had been stuck on him, and it had nit been stuck on Ari in the same way, was that allowed?
Clair smiled "I'm not pretty, I'm a normal girl just like everyone else, I'm just a normal muggle born kid." She shrugged as far as she was concerned she was just a normal kid with no different looks, but for some reason, that the Ravenclaw could not understand, three people had told her that, and one was her best friend, her hand lightly traced the heart shaped Locket as she thought lf that day, when Simon had pulled her hair down, she smiled.
And then out of the blue Edward shot some spell at another student, one who Clair kind of felt like was a Slytherin, Clair watched him did all Russian students do that? Randomly shoot spells? Maybe maybe not.

Simon could sense some nonsense approaching in the Great Hall, although he was pretty sure that the school dances and events at Hogwarts were cursed with eventual destruction no matter where one was so long as they attended and he walked with AngelFyre to get her snack and her drink and he too grabbed some water.
On his way out he spotted Clair and he smiled. Clair, all dolled up and in a dress. This wasn't the Clair Fernandez he normally saw. "You look radiant tonight, Clair Mackenzie," he said as they passed her and he smiled when she would look his way and gave her a wink. Still, he was headed to the Festival area because he was going where AngelFyre was going and he too was eager to see this dragon effigy that she mentioned was out there.
As Simon looked a little more around, even under the dimmer light, it seemed they missed out on some other things that had happened around them and for that he was glad. Some just made such unnecessary drama and tonight he wanted to spend time with his girlfriend. It then set in, finally at the exit, that he had yet to lay eyes on Haley Rose. It was in her nature to come, date or no date, and he considered this luck. There was no need to see her there or see what she was wearing because surely she looked amazing. He hoped that she was having an amazing time as well to accompany that but wasn't sure that was something he needed to bear witness to.
The two left the Great Hall together, hand in hand.

Letting out a squawk at Elsi leaning forward, Dakota's hand snaked away as she wrinkled her nose and narrowed her eyes. She was still quick to follow after him, as Elsian wouldn't be shaking his Hufflepuff friend anytime soon, especially not when she had her eyes set on stealing his tiara. Well, she wouldn't really call it stealing considering she'd give it back, more so borrowing her friend's crown. But still, how dare he threaten to lick her and then lean forward! Elsi was always a difficult person, so maybe Dakota shouldn't have been so surprised at her friend's actions, but still!Raising her brows as Elsi mentioned proposing a trade, Dakota starred in silent curiosity with the slightest tilt of her head. Sometimes it was hard to get him to agree to something, so Elsian giving in so easily was what surprised her the most. Though at the mention of one of them having to perish Dakota gave a soft, dramatic gasp as she placed her hand along her chest. "Certainly not!" really, the girl could be just as dramatic as the boy she was perched across from. Maybe Elsian was rubbing off on her just a bit too much. With a playful grin tugging at the corners of her lips, Dakota seemed to show just as much interest in what Elsi's next idea would be. Though when he finally decided she had to follow his gaze over with a bit of confusion before she paused out of genuine surprise. Elsi wouldn't actually make her do something like that for a tiara, would he? Certainly not, or at least she hoped not. Dakota hoped she knew her friend well enough to decide that. There was simply no way she was playing anything that had flying and torch in the name.As Elsi teased, Dakota made it clear that she was rolling her eyes as she stuck her tongue out, her nose wrinkling as her brows furrowed. Her grandmother would've told Dakota this face simply ruined whatever pretty features the girl had, but that wasn't the point currently. Dakota was simply just trying to out brat Elsi, which, in all honesty, would probably never occur. Though at the mention of dancing Dakota seemed quite a bit surprised, her brows going from furrowed to raised in a quick motion as she hesitated. She hadn't danced since forever, but remembered some basic waltzing, but she doubted Elsi was the waltzing type.Pressing her lips together as she weighed her options, moving her hands like actual scales as she did so, Dakota cast a glance down towards her bag where she felt her kitten moving. If she danced the bag would have to go with her, there was no way she was leaving it. Raising her attention back to Elsi, Dakota gave a nod and held her hand out, a playful smile pulling her lips upwards as she motioned towards the dance floor. "Lead the way my fabulous friend."

As Haley waited for Louca at the entrance, she saw Charles just before he left to the courtyard, raising his drink and winking at her. Haley did the same, only with an imaginary drink and a big smile. She watched him for a moment as he disappeared into the Courtyard and while she was already looking forward to spending the evening with Louca, she hoped Charles and she might take the time to dance together. But the evening was after young and it would come as it would come.
The longer she stood there, the more nervous she became. She hadn't thought about Louca standing her up until that moment. But she didn't rate him that way, what if he did? She felt uneasy at the thought, she would be really offended and it made her wonder. Perhaps she had already taken the boy more to her heart than she would have expected. But for that very reason she was sure that she had judged him correctly and that he would not left her standing here.
And Haley was right, it wasn't long before Louca came through the entrance and a smile crept unconsciously onto Haley's lips. It was unusual to see him in a suit, but it suited him. She looked at him for a moment longer until her feet started moving and she walked happily towards him. "Well Hello there Mister." She greeted him with a broad smile. She didn't know if she should hug him or not and while her body was already going through the motions, her head eventually stopped her and she stopped a little oddly in front of him, biting the inside of her cheek uncertainly.
"You look good." She told him honestly, hoping he hadn't noticed the weird moment. Gosh, why was Haley so nervous? The two of them had laughed so much together, yet somehow this evening was different, it was like a date. Or was it A date? This really wasn't the time to be asking that question and searching for answers, so Haley tried to shake off the nervousness.
The girl noticed that his bow tie was a little crooked and Haley took a step closer to Louca, "May I?" she asked hesitantly, waiting for a quick okay before she carefully reached for his bow tie and gently grabbed it on both sides and adjusted it.

Marina noticed the coldness in the other witch's face. She started to wonder if this was the right decision. It was too late now to look back though. When she heard the other's response Marina was glad to hear that the witch was okay. She nodded turned and left the conversation with nothing more to do.
Marina noticed a strange emptiness she felt at this ball. Everyone seemed so separate. It was as if there were three different types of people at this ball the friend groups, the dancing couples, and those who were completely alone. Marina knew that she was one of those who were completely alone. Marina also knew that the older witch was completely alone.
On her way back towards the other side of the room. Marina noticed the goblet of fire. She searched herself for a piece of paper. Yet she found none. Marina knew she would be back soon with a piece of paper so she could put her name in the goblet.
Marina turned back and asked, "Do you mind if I join you?" She paused and waited for a response than added. You can say no if you want to I don't mind." And she really didn't.

Judith loved the way he seemed so passionate about the wolfsbane. She had never been too great at potions, but she did find it quite interesting. And hearing people talk about stuff they're interested in was just something that inspired Judith a lot. She blushed again as he gave her another compliment. She wasn't always sure how to respond, but she felt like a smile was enough. " Thank you, that's so sweet!" she said and smiled. "Even tho Wolfsbane is kinda dangerous and poisonous, i do love to hear you talk about it! It's so interesting if never been a Queen at potions, but my flying isn't to bad" She said and smiled.
She was surprised when Hunter suddenly turned around but even more surprised when he turned back around. As he had suggested for her to take his hand. She smiled and looked down, being even more nervous, she took a few breaths, trying to calm herself down, and said to herself. "it's just Hunter." Which did make her think for a bit. Obviously, Hunter wasn't just someone, he was great, friendly, kind, funny, and even charming in his own special way. But he was also just Hunter, not a stranger, he was the loving Hunter. So why stress?
She gave a smile and took his hand. "Yes, let's get adventurous!" She said and smiled. She walked towards the dancing spot where a few people were already dancing. She pulled Hunter closer, smiled and grabbed his other hand. "Lets dance! I'm horrible at dancing, i can tell you, and for sure on dancefloors, but who cares, let's just dance!" She said and smiled brightly. She started dancing by just swinging a bit around, moving her arms in a far to strange way, and shoved her feed over the dancing floor, not really sure what she was doing, but she as sure was enjoying the moment.

Oh? No whiny remark for her being late? That’s surprising… maybe he’s too enraptured by her look this evening.
“Nothing out of the ordinary, I see.”
He said with a gentle smile. Huh, but something actually seemed out of the ordinary from that boy. He has never shown this kind of gentleness to her before. Which is making her feel a little- uh- odd.
“I don’t think you need anyone to tell you how wonderful you look. And that’s a rather… “
See- that it is again. He is being a little too nice. Although Pea didn’t really know him that well, but from the time she knows him, he definitely never treat her with such affection. Maybe he is too enamored by her, which makes sense but maybe…. it’s- it's that part-Veela in her who plays the role. She never likes to talk about that... side of her, well because she never wanted people to assume her beauty came from the blood of another creature who literally has the ability to entrance humans.
That is stupid. She thought. She is already beautiful, dazzling, exquisite even without her power. Her part-Veela-ness is just a bonus. Like a side dish in a very exquisite meal.
“-intriguing little thing. What’s its name?” Hana continued, which distract her from her thoughts. Pea looks at Hana’s brown-eyed gaze as they looks at her shoulder.
“Ah- you are right of course, I don’t need you to tell me I look wonderful. But your gaze certainly does the job.” She sweeps her braided hair back with a smirk. “And this is Birkin, my lizard. He's a Bearded Dragon.” Pea put up her right hand so Birkin could crawl to her palm as she shows Hana her prized possession. She does this for the sheer curiosity of whether Birkin likes Hana or not. Birkin apparently looks very intrigued at Hana after all. The lizard seemed to want to move closer to that boy. Which infuriates her. “Oh apparently, my lizard likes you.” She said begrudgingly.
Hana then seemed to take out something from what he’s been holding. Oh. She’s a little surprised at the thing he’s presenting to her. A corsage. She had never received a corsage before, well she’s just realized this is the first school dance she’s ever been to. “I had a guess white would be a suitable choice of color for you. May I?”
It is a little tacky. But she appreciates the gesture. Pea pulls up her left hand this time and accepts Hana putting on the corsage on her wrist. “At least you got the color right.” She answered, "But, thank you." She then says quietly, she's not a totally awful person that she would not say thank you when someone gifted her something!
He has been a little nicer to her, maybe he really is interested in her? or maybe he’s playing a game. She didn’t know. But she will always keep her eyes open if there is another moment in which he could embarrass her. Then of course she remembers why she came here with him in the first place. A payback for embarrassing her the time he asks her to the ball.
It was when Hana starts talking about their destination that Pea notices it. A small frown as he listed places they should go to next. It was at the word 'Festival' when she notice a glimpse of it. Does he have some kind of vendetta against the festival? But whatever it is Pea would like to see it.
“Right, let’s go to the festival then.”

Cain observed Felix's reaction, it might be true, they could be just a bit too small for him. He wore his robes and sweaters a little big- room to grow into his mother would say, but he just liked being able to tuck his hands into his sleeves when he got cold. He opened his mouth to answer, but soon the older boy was onto his next target. Not busy? Well, no, Cain couldn't lie and say he was, nor was he even waiting for anyone. He could hear shouting and furrowed his brow when he saw some spells being thrown in the distance. Should he check on that? Too late.
He turned to see the so-called walking Hair-Cut. "Yes..?" Felix was being bullied by this Arjan guy? It did seem like the blond put on a tough guy persona and outfit, but maybe that was just a style. There was also his foul mouth, but Cain had heard worse in pureblood circles. "A lesson. I-..." He had never been in a food fight, until just now. If he ducked he'd look guilty, if he stood still he'd be seen and look guilty! He was still deciding how to react when Felix shouted for him to duck, so he hit the floor and rolled under the buffet table. There he was face-to-face with a random stuffed lion in a school scarf. "What?" Was it part of the decor? Or was this someone's stuffed animal? He wasn't sure. He took it and held it in one hand as he army-crawled to the other end of the table to put distance between himself and a pastry-smeared Hair-Cut boy. Hopefully Felix followed or he'd have to go back for him. No wizard left behind.

Elizaveta noticed that Julian seemed nervous, his little smile and the way he shoved his hands in his pocket showed it all. Not feeling as nervous as her date seemed to be, she was glad he didn't mind that she was a little late. Her green eyes carefully scanned his outfit as Julian talked about how it was more complicated to get ready as a girl and she nodded approvingly. The suit looked good and would go well with her dress, which Julian complimented. "Thank you," she said wondering if he just liked her dress or if he thought she looked great as a whole. He had only said something about her dress, so maybe he didn't like her hair and make-up. "I like your suit," she told him making sure not to mention anything else about his outfit.
She was flattered when Julian offered her his arm, or at least that was what Elizaveta thought he was doing when he slightly angled his arm. Instead of replying to his question with words, she gracefully placed her arm in his and gave him a little smile, clearly satisfied with his manners. She was incredibly glad that Julian was her ball date and not Avery, who was a fake gentleman and would have never offered her his arm. Maybe she could even show Avery what he was missing out on since he didn't ask her to the ball, he had only ask her to the hospital wing.
With the idea of rubbing how much fun she was having in Avery's face, Elizaveta entered the great hall with her date next to her. Her eyes moved through the room at rapid speed as the blonde was trying to take up every detail, every rose and every guest all at once. She loved everything about the ball and completely forgot about her ball date as her eyes darted through the room. In awe, she quietly watched all the other students talking, dancing, eating or drinking. This could have come straight out of a fairytale!
Elizaveta had never been so happy to be at Hogwarts, but now that she wore the most amazing dress and had her prince charming on her side she couldn't be happier. Her happy feeling crashed a bit when she realized she had no idea what to do next. Should they start dancing already, or should they drink something first? This had been everything she dreamed of and still, she had no idea what to do. A little insecure, Elizabeth looked at Julian. "What now? Do we go to the courtyard or do we drink something or do we dance?" There were a lot more things she could think of for them to do, but she decided not to add them because it would only make the choice harder. She waited for Julian to make the decision since she didn't want to pick the wrong thing.
